The US system is older but no less accurate the EU or Russia. The US system is actually more accurate outside of North America. There are some p-code anomalies introduced for whatever reason. Flying in a plane, unless you have a registered GPS that can counter p-code anomalies, your flying blind once you hit US airspace. Additionally, M-code accuracy is the same. The EU system covers parts of eu and the beams have blind spots. No one makes any car gps's that support it.

i'm from ireland and we will be voting on the lisbon treaty soon... i'm a bit confused as to how to vote! i'm pro europe but will the treaty lead to more centralisation? more distance between us and our politicians? less national control? or will it be for the best, make the EU more efficient, better run?

I'm Russian, and here in Russia, our government openly says that they don't care about what European countries want and they don't want the truly united EU because it will be hard for the Kremlin to control Europe. European countries need to be united and they need a new treaty to work efficiently. The EU is the biggest market in the world, with the Lisbon Treaty it will be a political power also, a power that represents European values.
