  • I'm not in any way a Dodge fanatic. I'm more into Fords (T-birds, Mustangs, and Lincolns), but I'm willing to make an exception with the Dodge Challenger. I actually fell head over heals for this machine when it came out. If I had a crap load of cash, I'd go pull one of these bad boys out of the dealership just to pop the chip into the radio, and jam out to The Beatles whilst going 75-85 mph on the highway.

  • @Xclibur2001

ME too, i am actually a japanese car enthusiast always swore by japanese cars, but after seeing this model of the dodge challenger hemi. i fell in love with this car. and now ive started to even really love the american muscle cars old or new, thanks to this car...

this car is perfect look wise, at the present moment if i had any amount of money, i would buy this first regardless... while i wait for my farrari to arrive

  • Great car for a weekend drive I'm sure, maybe not so great for an everyday car, but for a weekend drive, I'm sure it would be hella fun and worth every penny :)

  • clean the camera lens

  • $45k way too much.

  • @shirke01 it's a lot man but trust me there are places where you wouldn't believe the prices at all... like in Brazil this same car can costs more than $200K and more than 60 % of that are taxes.

  • its a nice holden ssv

  • People Judge before the latest product is out! And there they go and change their opinion! JUST ENJOY!

  • Shitty car

  • @Replay54321 shitty car? its a $40,000 car.... what do you drive that is so amazing? a fucking honda???!!! dude your fucking awesome? hows that $3,000 honda driving?? nice bro. your awesome. FUCK YOU

  • @brandon33334444 (425) horsepower does sound impressive but do you like the body style, how large it is, the interior, American cars are know to have crapy interior.

  • @Replay54321 yea i love everything about the car

  • @brandon33334444 well heres somthing NO ONE likes about the car... the fact that its a gas guzzler 25 mpg on the highway... even you admit this car is not the best on gas. Also if they cut the weight to under 4000 pounds it would go a lot faster and have a better fuel rating now dont get me wrong im not even a hybrid tree hugger i just dont want to waste money like that bmws are the way to go.

  • @Replay54321 the body style will definetely turn heads.

  • Great Music in your car !! heheh

  • @GoWbrootis they do. its the drag pack. but its not street legal.

  • Camaro is girly, Challenger hell yeah my ride!!!!

  • the guy has Clutch on his i-pod!!! HELL YEAH!!!

  • The SRT8 most certainly does not run on 87...I mean unless you want to destroy your engine and make it shit nasty.

  • Sweet! It's like a worse and uglier, yet more expensive version of the Camaro!

  • for more info about this car check out this link

  • manual has the word man it it

  • automatics just seem too.... easy to drive

  • @mdew90210 no shit? that's why some people prefer auto trannys

  • manual= man car aka why there is man in the word

  • Love the stick but if your driving around in LA in heavy traffic, it can get old very fast. Maybe one of each? :)

  • how much does a stock challenger 09 go for?

  • @jettech510 A Pagani Zonda.

  • camaro ss is best

  • drive the damn thing, no one cares what the seats are made of and what the navigation looks like.

  • for an american car this has quite a nice interior...*thumbsup*

  • im new to cars so dont bullshit me

how much dose a car like that go for

  • @sullykillsully too much. just wait 2 or 3 years and they usually go down by half or slightly above.

  • @GMCman82 money dosnt matter how much is it

  • @sullykillsully i wouldnt expect to pay out any less than 40k for a fully equipped new one but ive seen little bit older ones with decent miles for around half. like ive said before if ur gonna go dodge, then go big!

  • its so beautiful :'(

  • @boogieman305 Let us just stop and stare...

  • Wow

  • did i see Avenged Sevenfold in that playlist? lol!

  • The only cool thing about this car is the exterior design. It looks great. But, its all downhill from there. Its under powered, not unique at all, boring interior, and shitty build quality. And all you hear is how "American this car is" when in reality, its built in Canada, the frame and chassis is from Mercedes and the engine is built in, wait for it...Mexico.

  • @buttnut1080 I don't think where it was built really makes it less american.... bottom line the concept of the car and ideas put into it were american, and the fact that the original was american pride on wheels... it took all the inspiration from the 1970's challenger thats all that matters ... dont get me wrong it has room for improvement but dont bash it just cause of where its parts came from... for all we know the metal came from japan...

  • @ryuwvd I'm just saying its not as American as the common belief; even though the car is technically American. And you know what, there's nothing wrong with me stating that.

  • @buttnut1080 So to avoid me, you've tried blocking. You've tried friends only. Are you really such a COWARD? You're not much of a man that's for sure. That's another thing I know about you! Where will you run this time shithead?

  • I have a 2004 Hemi Ram 1500. The driver's manual recommends running the motor on mid-range, but adds that it can be run on regular. I personally have found that the motor runs smoother and obviously faster/more powerful on the mid-range. So, I run it on mid-range, but run it on regular when money is tight.

  • The gas guzzler tax is bullshit.

I might just take the car out once a week as a Sunday driver.

In that case, I would use less gas then someone with a economical daily driver.

  • the advertising falsehood of the century. If you have a car that runs regular unleaded and you use "premium" it will cause you to run rich, depositing carbon on the tops of the pistons and bottom of the valve seats. There are sites all over the net, countless dyno results and actual engineers that can verify this. Don't waste your money, run what it tells you in your operators manual...after all it was written by the folks who designed your car not a net "expert"

  • @GEARC7 Computers are made to run all 3 octanes - ALL THREE!

  • In fact 87 octane gasoline has slightly more BTU's of energy than 93 octane.

If you wish to conserve fuel and have a cleaner engine use the octane for hich the vehicle was designed. If your car has a octane requirement of 87 unleaded, the most efficient fuel will be 87 octane. This is the fuel it was tuned for, just like a car designed to run 93 octane should run 93 octane for engine reliability and reduced risk of pre-ignition. The idea that higher octane fuel is somehow higher quality is..

  • Comment removed

  • Octane ratings are a not rating of efficiency or total power. It is a ratio of heptane to octane. The more octane a fuel has the more knock resistance a it has. A high compression engine whether Naturally aspirated or Boosted will require a higher octane fuel to prevent knock. The Challenger SRT-8 can run on 87 octane however it will lose power, not because of the BTU content of 87 octane. But because the ECU will retard ignition timing to prevent knock. The optimum tune for the car is on 91 oct

  • @GEARC7 you use regular gas because putting high octane premuim does not alter the performance. the engine compression ratios are low and engineered to use lower octane fuel so there wont be any additional power even if you put the more expensive stuff in it.

  • one question i have is if the 09 challenger has no number plate like for ex. 43 of 4000 does it make it less valuable later on. I wish I could find out because I want to buy one

  • Sharp and wicked!!

  • I love the challenger but I fucking hate the manuel

  • i love the challenger, but the only thing that pisses me off is that the E-brake is in the form of a pedal and is not a "handbrake" .... i dunno just sounds like it would make drifting a bit harder.

  • Love the Challenger and the Shelby Mustang....WHY would anyone want Navigation with a Muscle Car? Keep it bare bones as possible like the 60's/70's! Wasted money for a needless item...it's not a Buick!

  • Thank god someone's finally giving the Challenger the kudos it desirves for its interior. It seems like all anyone cares about is how the interior looks, the Challenger's interior is built to reflect the car's personality, its dark, menacing, and down to business. So okay the Challenger doesnt have a flower bright luxury interior but we're not all flower bright people, some of us preffer that dark menacing atmosphere, plus the comfortable materials and quality of it all is A+ awsome! ;)

  • what's up with carscom? it seems like the vehicles never move in their videos

  • @coolerdude44 0:27 theres about 5 seconds to prove the car runs

  • skip shift is gay!

  • WOOT!! Alice in Chains!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i hate skip-shift feature !

  • Its a cool car , an if u want more for your family , buy a charger

  • I hate automatics

  • I wish they made more cars on manual I hate driving automatics

  • @HistoryMajor7 Yeah i know, you get bored easy.

  • yeah, when I used to be an EMT I hated driving the ambulances because they were automatic and I drove them all day. But weaving from side to side in attempts to throw my partner off the gurney in the back was fun though

  • @jordanhall91 true that

  • does it really run on regular 87 gas?

  • @Robinson4643 not sure on the other ones, but the SRT8 does.

  • @Carscom It Speaks!!!! Carscom SPEAKS! When did this start?

  • @Carscom It runs on 91 or higher.

  • @Robinson4643 you have 87 in the states? In Europe the standard is 95..

  • @Robinson4643 I have an R/T, it calls for 87.....not sure about the SRT8.

  • I hate automatics ....I always buy a manual

  • Same.

  • @BottleCapsound you must be fast and furious...

  • i dont really like the challengers man real talk i rather go with a brand new charger srt8 then dis shit the charger got more space an it looks better my opinion.

  • hes the guy from Wendys

  • Badasses always drives Dodge Challengers.

  • 1:49

Yay for the child's backseat in the rear. Great way to convince the wifey to get the car for it's practicality, if she isn't a gearhead or otherwise doesn't appreciate beautiful emotional motoring.

  • man and its not that expencive

45000$ for a car like that

  • What? It's way overpriced. I think exterior wise it's the best looking of the retro styled trio. Way overpriced considering the Camaro SS(which I hate btw) starts at around 31k and I'd imagine the new 5.0L Mustang GT will be around the same. Challenger is way too heavy too.

  • Awesome looking car. Much better styling than Mustang and Camaro. BUT, the interior looks like it was put together by Rubbermaid. Terribly cheap and bland. And what's this BS about skip shift? What a crock! I don't even understand how that works.

  • it is a swet car, better than the mustang but the camaro is very stylish, more tha the challenger and its faster in a straight line. and just because u dont understand something that doesnt make it bullshit

  • I have a 2010 Challenger RT with 6-speed. The way the skip-shift works is, if you excellerate the car from 1st gear to 2nd gear and you don't reach at least 15 km/hr between shifts, the car goes into gas-saving mode and skips from 1st right into 4th. The only reason it was installed into these cars was so that the car would pass the gas-economy standards, esle it wouldn't be on the car. No biggy though, all I need to do is install a preditor tune to delete this function.

  • camaro is faseter

  • No it's not.

  • BULLSHIT!

  • na Muławki mozna wyjechac

  • SEX ON WHEELS this car is perfect

  • I don't like the skip shift from 1st to 4th.

Defeats the purpose of the manual.

  • you can turn the skip shift off i did on mine! the skip shift is a pain in the ass!

  • Really?

That's good to know because I think I really want one of these bad boys.

  • how the hell does it make you shift from 1st to 4th on a manual?

  • if you're looking for a car sith a v8 hemi why the crap w2ould you even think about fuel efficency>?! bad ass cars are cooler than honda fags times a thousand

  • i want that fucken car!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • for this car gives 6 speed manual and a 5 speed automatic ?

  • DINOSAUR JR haha thats funny

  • Stupid chev guys....

  • You watch too much top gear kid. Don't be a tool. Its a great car. You clearly know nothing about muscle cars. So you can fuck off.

  • Carbon fiber stripes?? Who the hell said it was suposed to be made out of carbon fiber?? ... and come on dude, you are talking of a stock 400 hp engine.... any other car like the mustang need a supercharger in order to achieve these numbers..about handling unless you pretend to race on VIR i think you've got enough handling to drive it fast as hell on the freeway .... the other option is to tune up your honda which doesn't look as cool as this car :p ...

  • I'm starting to turn into a Mopar guy myself. I think that Dodge makes better trucks than Ford or Chevy. The Challenger is a pretty sweet ride. The new Camaros are cool to except for the new dash board design.

  • @IowaHawkeyeFanatic and u can see out of the challenger better lol

  • @IowaHawkeyeFanatic the new camaros and mustangs are way more capable than the challenger....BUT WHO CARES. this is a fucking challenger. its so big and brash and no automotive manufacturer had the balls to put out a car as cool as this one!!!

  • Very sexy car!!!!

  • I love the car!

  • i might get this or the R/T (probably R/T). the biggest question i have is would u feel like knocking me out if saw me step out and i wasnt buff like the car?

  • Better get the srt8 or your going to lose to a bunch of teenagers in mustangs.

  • I KNOW, i was getting a mustang before the challenger, but I was lost and I was walking past a dodge dealership and OMG the first time i seen a challenger, HOLY SHIT! any mustang, rx8, or camaro that steps in the octagon is finished, YOU HEAR ME? FINISHED!

  • nice car

  • my dad has a CHARGER SRT8 and might get me a CHALLENGER SRT8!!!!!!!!!! which one is better though?

  • the Challeger of course, it's sportier, more agile and doesn't look anything like, or near a "family" car look

  • ah alright thx man! I like the look of the challenger more to

  • If your talking about the new ones both ways, the Challenger. The charger is a sedan and looks nothing like the old ones. The challenger looks old school with a modern touch... PERFECT!

  • dude yea right if ur dad is buying u car its a fucking deo metro and why is ur dad buyin u a car if u hace a lisence get ur own shit

  • I dont have that kinda money and this is only my 2nd car...... I still live with my parents dude

  • I would get the R/T if you really wanna spring for a new muscle car.

  • is the challenger srt8 better than the charger srt8...whats the best muslce car (horsepower wise) but in the same price range as the challenger srt8

  • my dad has that car and its a srt8

  • your dad the man lol

  • they clamed bankrupsy where have u been and they merjed with fiat.

  • Nothing really, he makes it seem like they disappeared, they're still here, just re-building

  • My dad bought one of these today

  • I like this better than the 09 Camaro

  • Dodge! Love it! =]

  • great car, but i don't think the Americans have been very good on stylish interiors to be honest, now or in the past ..it's been all about body shape which i love , but gee's i wish they'd complete the package properly.

  • i agree the insides arnt always the greatest but they are getting better on the trucks and mini vans but not cars. but the bodys on them i think make up for it .

  • Good Amercian Muscle car, I prefer the looks of the G8, the G8 just looks sharper to me.

  • thats why pontiac is no longer. haha

  • i agree

  • thats not really a smart comment.

  • interior looks like my charger

  • Im not a huge fan of american cars but woo this one is so good in shape. :-0

    I want one!! ;-)

  • personnally i like all three the mustang challenger and the camaro

  • man this car is sexy sexy sexy like 60's sexy

  • dude thats like saying your grandma is hot

  • man this car looks amazing in this red. right at 2.44 it's mezmerizing just how good it looks.

  • gas guzzler tax?

    SUCK MY LEFT BALL!

    stupid government

  • The come up with all these taxs cause they just LOVE having excuses to take our money.

  • ooooooooooo sexy

  • eh standard kinda sucks when you live in hawaii aka place with the worst fucking traffic in the nation.

  • Standard is fun no matter where you are and it makes you pay attention to driving. I believe the first 3 years everyone drives they should drive manual and have to get there license with one. That means everyone Has to be paying attention when they start driving. Also they get better Mileage...Either way Stick is fun and "heavy traffic" is an excuse for people who are either bad at driving or don't have a very enjoyable car to drive.

  • hehe got me, your right, i find my self day dreaming while driving, suppose it is time to get me a standard.

  • Thats exactly my point! I do it alot if I drive my truck which is an Auto, its really dangerous and when you drive a stick you gotta pay attention ,and if you start spacing out the car will get your attention! I know it isn't for everyone and is bad for some citys but I believe New drivers should qualify and drive with Manual because it teaches good driving skills.

  • ya, standards fun when your on the highway/freeway, its just when im driving home from a long day at work i just dont really feel like pushing a clutch in and out for an over an hour in bumper to bumper traffic . but point is this challenger is badass, if only it were about $20,000 less and wasnt 14 mpg

  • just cant fuck with MOPAR RACING!

  • I don't think srt8 challengers can use regular fuel

  • ofcourse it can.. what do you think this is ? a hightech rocketship.

  • Actually SRT8 challengers require a minimum octane level of 91. Do your research sucka allpar(DOT)com/cars/dodge/challenger/specifications(DOT)html
