Weather looks pretty nasty. Was that a pheasant I could see crossing the line?

awh night mail comes to mind framed by signal posts scene set by pita pata of rain distant smoke then whistles, she comes into view , a pheasant crosses the line, tarries to notice the approaching train, then hurries on across, the travelling post office roaring along, flies past, the ubiquitous orang men return to there duties, the sound of wheels on track slowly fading as the signal drops silently drowned out by the sound of the train as it whistles away into the distance,wonderful, just great
