@geezlouise95 Actually.. this was a studio - they made a replica of the Lido deck pool in a studio, but lots of outdoor scenes were filmed onboard the Pacific Princess and her sister ship, the Island Princess. Later in the seasons, they used the Royal Princess. The Pacific Princess is now just called Pacific, and sails in south america. The Island Princess became Discovery, for Discovery World Cruises, and the Royal Princess became the Artemis of P&O Cruises.

I truly love "The Love Boat". if you have ever been on a cruise, the shoe did a wonderful job of making one feel as though they were on a ship.. and all without violence, profanity and sex.. just pure fun... and well, maybe a little sex.. but they always closed the door...
