At least, it didn't have CGI monsters eating people. If you really want to see "Hit your head with a hammer to make it stop" bad acting, try watching Megaforce. You'll thank God for soap operas. This really isn't bad for a video game. The cuteness kinda makes up for the acting.

Actually, Atrus himself was critical of Serenia precisely because it was too "magical" (or perhaps "insubstantial"/"new-agey") for his tastes. It's an Age very much in Catherine's style, who likes riddles that have no answer.

Atrus prefers to work with his hands and understand things rationally.
