  • What a minute, where's all the fat people?

  • happy times

  • That brought back some memories. Of all the ads I remember from my childhood, the melody on that one stands out. Had no idea that Joe Brooks had a hand in it. Were the musicians famous? I recall The Association doing a Pepsi jingle, but that doesn't really sound like them.

  • Probably, 'SteABW'- but all the money Joe Brooks made from his work on this- and other jingles- apparently didn't make HIM happier. In fact, it's somewhat ironic the title of this jingle was "You've Got A Lot To Live", as Brooks committed suicide this past May...seems he was involved in several rapes while playing "Mr. Casting Couch" from 2005 through '08....sad.

  • This jingle, composed by Spencer Michlin & Joesph Brooks (he later wrote "You Light Up My Life"), was first introduced in 1970...and this ad probably dates from the same period.

  • @fromthesidelines I thought it was strange that I recognised the jingle (I wasn't born until 1986), until I remembered where I'd heard it. It was sung by Britney Spears as part of her Pepsi Generations Era adverts. Michlin & Brooks must've made an awful lot of money from this!

  • I remember always watching this commercial when I was a teenager. I loved it!!
