Fun facts....Thurl Ravenscroft provided the voice for the singing bust seen in the video. He was also the voice for the original Tony the Tiger and he also sings Mr. Grinch in How the Grinchs stole Christmas.

OMG they trashed so many ideas and characters for the haunted house. I wonder what happened to them all. Geesh.

@chimera15 Many of the ideas got put into storage either as plans or full props. Disney likes to keep as many of the ideas their Imagineers think of around as much as they can. Who knows, they might decide to revisit a lost special effect later if they can. For example, in Disney World's haunted mansion, they now have a section with a bunch of stairways and doors leading to nowhere. This comes from Imagineers who designed a Winchester Mystery Mansion style room but it got turned down..until now.

I've been on the Walt Disney World ride five times...it never fails to amuse.

Kurt Russell was kinda cute back then, but wow, he was kinda dorky (probably because he was hanging out with a young Donny Osmond)!!!
