@bchill419 You are saturated with partisan media. The only reason why this vid is titled "Republicans, Laugh at This" is because the party--in a demeaning and unprofessional way--decided to mock the very industry of social organization. Your president--which he is since you're an American I presume--will go down in history as one of the most active, the most daring and the most hopeful. It will be recorded in print that he dared when no one would. That's what organizers do. ;)
Well you community organizers got your way! Now we can all see that some dufus with NO real experience and NO real skills is a DISASTER as president...but you got your way. Thanks...
How dare Palin!? People who organize are better as people than Palin, McCain, and Giuliani could EVER hope to be. But they wouldn't know anything about that. Helping out the disadvantaged, bettering the lives of those around them, this is something Palin could NEVER understand. Well, thanks to their little laughs, they saw just what a community organizer can do.
Martin Luther King would have no respect for Barack Obama. And what's this bullshit about all people who don't like obama being racist? It's simple, there is NOTHING special about him. At all. Zero. I hate McCain but I still have no respect for Obama either. And left is no better then right. Get the hell over it. Liberals are much more fascists then conservatives. Who wants more laws and government regulations? Think once in a while please....
Most of the Republicans can dish out, but when it comes back around they call you a liar, ignorant, flat out dumb, and everything in the book. Palin's speech was divisive and some people try to cover it by saying she was being sarcastic. I for one can read between the lines. The comments made by Palin and Rudy were outrageous. Some do not even want to recognize the great work Obama did as a community organizer during those 3 years. This was an awesome and TRUE post besides what some airheads say.
Thank you for this! As a social worker, I was beyond appalled by the snide remarks and snickering about community organizers. WE (community workers, volunteers, social activists, teachers, etc.) are the people who made this country what it is. And if you think about it, the greatest leaders we've ever had are those who started out working with the people. How can one know what the people truly need if one is so far removed.
Amazing video.
National Association of Social Workers for Obama!!
I find this FUNNY AS HELL! It is the dumbocrats who attacked Palin and her inexperience to LEAD and now that it is pointed out that POS Obama HAS NONE AT ALL; the dumbocrats cry...cry me a river
mccainpalinrockin08...your comments are totally right on. It's sad how some voters aren't doing their research and are only voting for Nobama Bin Liden because they are followers. I am not sure how Nobama's background and decisions have gotten him where he is today...how sad. God Bless America on this very solemn day...9/11...We will never forget...
-You know what you heard about Rev. Wright; you don't know that most of our pastors have made similar comments in similar settings for the past twenty years regarding similar events.
The only reason they mentioned his community service, was to point out the fact that how can they mock Sarah Palin's experience as a Mayor when Obama was only a community org. If the Rep. are wrong to mock it, then Obama is wrong to mock Sarah's experience. O is nothing but an empty suit. Listen to what he's promising, there's NO WAY he can deliver. He's ALL ABOUT income redistribution using the IRS as his tool. Anyone who thinks Obama is qualified to run this country needs their head examined!
You are WRONG about two things. One, you demonized Socialism because you have drawn conclusions based on what you've heard and not what you have personally pondered.
Ummm...uhhhh...mmm...uhhh...sorry, I don't agree that "us guys" are prejudiced and put down other races. What race am I putting down in any of my posts? I'm talking about experience...nothing about hatred and insults...I should be offended by your assumptions that I am not a Nobama fan because he is not a caucasion...whatever gave you that idea? Now, please tell me, who is being prejudice? ;) I am not voting on skin color as others are, I'm looking at all the issues...uummm....uhhhh...
You are the minority in this country. There are more people who took offense at these statements than didn't. Ok the Republicans laughed at it because they don't get it, and they never will. But this is a democracy and the majority wins. Those RNC speeches were hateful, insulting, and dirty - they put down the dignity of men and women's work. It wasn't just the words - the tone was degrading. But then again you guys like to put down other races. Its in your culture to be prejudiced
That's fine if you disagree, TJ...you are entitled to your opinion. I wonder, however, how many community organizers will be thinking they'll be prepared to lead the country in the next presidential campaign!! Please, this just doesn't make any sense!! Nobama is inexperienced and I cannot believe he is actually the presidential candidate for the democratic party...yikes!!
The RNC was making a point with Obama and no one else, he failed as a community organizer...pretty clear to me...on the flip side...I'd like to know what town you are a teacher so I can make sure my kids never have you.
I never discounted Ms. Palin's service as mayor. As a matter of fact, I believe that a mayoral role is a difficult one and I would never belittle her political career.
I'm talking about her belittling mine.
Now, you may choose to never reply to this video or send your children to my classes, but you and your children will miss out on an opportunity to be wholly original, wholly engaged and wholly transformed.
Nobama may be a fine community organizer, and that's great, however, it appears his affiliations have been quite questionable. He does not have the experience to lead our country...and his wife just recently became "proud" of our country. In my opinion, if one is to lead our country, that person should have red, white and blue running through their blood, and have the experience it takes to run the country. Nobama is not poised for presidency at this point.
I disagree. Some of the best leaders in history did not have a loyalty to the "Red, White and Blue." They demonstrated loyalty to the safety and interests of the people.
We must remember that we are not rallying behind an inanimate object. We are rallying behind the principles that make up the nation it represents.
Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, civil equality, economic equity, effective government and political participation...
Just curious...so if Palin had the experience of a community organizer and Nobama was a governor and had the experience of being a mayor, then you'd be saying Palin would be the better candidate? Really, you think the community organizer experience is better experience than a governor's experience when running an entire country? I can appreciate a person working as a community organizer, but I just don't see how that position would qualify a person for the presidency/vice-presidency.
You must take stock of a whole person, not just his or her occupation.
I prefer a man who has served and worked among everyday people to a man who has managed the masses from a ten foot pole distance.
There is a compassion you gain in the midst of the people you can't get in office. Prowess can be learned in the progress of doing a job; compassion is a precursor in a job like the presidency.
essentially the repulicans, or at least guiliani are hypocrites on this score- they tell us that they're in favor of local community standards influencing legislation (usually on social issues) and faith based intiatives, but then they slam them like this.
Okay...so Nobama is a fine community organizer...big deal...he can't even give a speech or answer any questions without his teleprompter. uhhhh...uuuhhhh...uuuhhh...uhhh...looking forward to the debates!!
Sarah Palin has no idea what she is talking about cuz she doesn't understand how ordinary people live. oh yeah, she is a governor for ALASKA. i just wonder how many people are there in Alaska? 1/10000000 of the population of CA?
well, if anybody in the tide water area wants to start registering "unwothy" voters, who would vote for a "worthless" civil rights lawyer and activist, then just contact me, and we can put something together. Hell mabey we can peacefully protest the Republicans and get attacked without cause like in St. Paul, wouldn't that be grand.
[...]He a been member of one of the worse anti-american church of the USA for 20 years(yo wake up). He dont want to take position against rebel country because of his multiculturalism nature even if those country are truly ennemy of our way of life, he want to penalise good taxe payer for the profit of ineficient burocratic system, he's affiliate with people who were guilty of fraud. Politic is not a hollywood show! His fellow attack their opponent on private life and discredit family valor!
I think it's interesting that you called his church "anti-American." I have heard the exact same sentiments at many rural Black churches all of my life. I have also heard similar conversations at barber shops, hair salons and the like. Are you African American?
LOL you must be a kind of person who vote Obama cause he's black (btw I'm not racist) cause you have nothing intellingent to say, ccommunity organizer and selfish book writer is not kind of person who can lead a country, Obama (or whatever his real name) nothing than a clown who know to do speech and not a man who can take good decision and have a true leadership.[...]
For the record, clowns are entertainers. That is an occupation also and I respect it for what it is.
Great leadership requires charisma. This is one of the most basic characteristics of any good leader. This is why Ms. Palin was chosen for the Republican ticket: charisma. And, everyone watched the RNC to hear a charismatic speech. Even FOX, an obviously subjective, Republican network, agrees to that.
I am a Black woman, yes, but I am voting for Obama because I am NOT VOTING for McCain.
thanks for just discrediting Aberham Lincoln, Lesus (the real liberal one), and genious writers such as Leo Tolstoy, who was sucessful at leading Russians who dissented from both Tsars and communists.
I loved your video! I too am an educator and a community organizer. As such my response to both Sarah and Rudy is to take action. In the past two days I've registered 71 new voters in low income neighborhoods in my community. The people I registered have been forgotten by people like Palin, Mc Cain, and the pollsters. They are fired up and ready to go. I live in FL, a swing state. Let's see who is laughing on Nov 4!
NO FUCK YOU ASSHOLE. YOU WANT MORE WAR GO AHEAD AND JOIN THE ARMY. IF YOURE TOO SCARED TO DO JACK SHIT THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP.
By the way tjschool teacher i really enjoyed your video and im glad there are people out there who care about more than the community. Im not american im aussie but i have family in america who will be voting for Obama because Sarah Palin is a fake. She is nothing but a airhead who people like based on her looks rather than brains.
Some would call this tortured logic, but I just wish that McWhine would shaddap already about his POW ordeal. Others had it much worse both there and elsewhere and his pandering must be revolting to those that survived their mistreatment. At least McCain initially protested waterboarding, etc., until his greed for power overrode his glimmer of humanity. With four surgeries for malignant melanoma he'll be done in by it soon enough--no way will he be able to serve out a 4 year term. Voila Palin.
oh right, when Obama was criticized for being in Washington for just a few years (forget prior activities) it was warrented, but when somebody who has only been mayor and governor starts saying that herself, and discrediting good ideas in a middle school fashion, and liberals respond to not only possibly slanderous statements, but also total hypocricies it is an attack. Thank you for pointing that out my lord, I'll never question a party that has strong evidence against them as acting facist
I can see how a double standard is in play. If one side draws the sword, it is noble and fair. If the other draws the sword, it is ridiculous and silly.
I agree that it is ridiculous and silly when petty personal attacks are used as political facts.
However, when facts are compared, there you have a fair sword fight.
Allons-y! If inexperience is good for the goose, it's good for the gander. ;)
My video does not presume that all black people are for him, and I am 100% sure that he is not God. I'm comfortable with that.
Also, I'm not as you say a "liberal." I'm an individual and an independent; I call it as I see it. If you do not find the entire RNC spent the evening mocking the concerns of common people, perhaps you should view the commentary again. Watch it all.
The speeches were patronizing, inaccurate propaganda. They assumed we hadn't watched the primaries from start to finish.
you're serious she wants to out-law birth control, that is just wrong, that is literally telling people what to do with their body.
I liked your video by the way, but I'll have to disagree with this comment a little, even as a religious person I believe that creationism should be left out, and instead added to the theroy of evolution as a possible reason why, while evolution is the how, and since we can't truely know it should specify that it is only a possibility.
Well, the word has not come out, because they are playing a popularity contest, an trying to get women to vote for the GOP, since Hilary did't get the DNC nomination, which I feel is sexist on the GOP's part, but over all if people actually paid attention, then they would have nothing to do with this new GOP super of a hero hypocrite, Palin, alas "most people would sooner die than think."
Regarding Obama spokesperson Bubriski calling Palin a "Nazi sympathizer," we should all go the original sources and read his commentary. Anyone who is familiar with Pat Buchanan's rise to and fall from political favor, chime in.
I can say, however, that Bubriski clearly restated what is deemed a "Jewish sentiment." Bubriski did, however, call Buchanan a "right-winger." Goodness; there are more political terms that could be used.
Palin is an insult to intelligent women. I read that her speech was written by Bush's main speech writer. Do these people have ANY original thoughts? Well, maybe their claim that they're not more of the same. But that's more like a delusion.
Does anybody else feel like the term "Al Qaeda" is a lump term for tens and twenties of small groups that fly solo? We must realize that Middle Eastern warfare is guerilla, a different set up from what we're used to here in the West.
We organize under central command systems. Middle Eastern groups find common reasons to fight their enemy, but they hardly ever organize together. The entirety of the network is really composed of small groups that share common hates.
Wonderful! I can use this for next video. Keep those lists coming folks! As soon as I can sit down to revamp previous publication, I will post another video including your community organizers!
What actually is a "war hero"? Who would qualify? Can someone who volunteered to go overseas in order to kill women and children in an illegal, immoral invasion make the grade? McCain survived to tell his tale (again and again and...), whereas prisoners caught by the US were mostly summarily executed. Lucky Johnny!
This is my second request to slow the names. I apologize; I've spent so much time responding to requests and being a teacher I haven't had time to go back to the original movie and edit it.
Tell friends to clip on this video and talk politics with us!
Sarah Palin was simply defending herself. Before her acceptance speech, Barack Obama attacked her experience saying:
"My understanding is that Gov. Palin's town, Wasilla, has I think 50 employees. We've got 2500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe 12 million dollars a year -- we have a budget of about three times that just for the month."
So Obama attacks the small town mayor (OH and STATE GOVERNOR), claiming that running his campaign is more important experience. PLEASE.
Obama's statement says "I am managing 50 times more people everyday in my campaign than you have in your legislative tenure." Palin's statement says, "My job has leadership value; yours doesn't."
Her statement is offensive, inaccurate and presumptuous.
The State of Alaska employs approximately 15,000 employees statewide. These employees work primarily for the Executive Branch of State Government..minor exclusion in Obama's assessment.
Obama feels that he has to defend his experience against Palin's..but wait..Palin is the VP pick. If Obama is elected he will be #1 right out of the gate. SCARY.
Palin's statement does not say anything about "leadership value". Plain's statement is about true executive accountability/responsibility.
If we're talking about accountability and responsibility, it's only fair that I hold her accountable and responsible for the direct, mocking way that she talked about over 70% of the people in the US of A in her speech last night.
Most of us have regular jobs that we haven't held down for more than two years. Do you know why? The job market is so unreliable that you find yourself switching positions every two to three while organizing community persons and gaining leadership experience.
Palin WAS NOT MOCKING ANYBODY BUT OBAMA BECAUSE HE IS A JOKE! Being a community organizer does NOT qualify one to be president. You liberals have so much fear and hate, and if we let you run the country with it, our country will be ruined. Well I'll tell you what...I'm pissed off that Obama wants to tax me more to pay for his entitlement programs...programs that in the end put a strain on the majority to help the few and give the federal government the power it doesn't deserve.
Sorry guy but our country is already jacked up. I am middle class, my salary is around 100k. Obama is raising taxes 5% and McCain is raising taxes by 3% for me it's a matter of a better leader. Bush was a horrible president and McCain voted for him 90% of the time. I don't need 8 more years of that. I don't like my taxes paying for other people but I would rather them go to saving a life then to losing a million lives in Iraq. I am former military and can tell you this war vietnam part II.
Actually, I have voted Republican since my first Presidential election. I am what you would call an "Independent." It is not uncommon for me to vote across parties for the candidates I find most electable in any election.
As for whether Palin (and Guiliani for that matter) mocked anybody, watch the clip again.
I'll be right here responding to your comments and politicking with you at least once a day! Keep this video going! We are the community organizers of the day.
So far, 893 of us have laughed back. Keep watching, get your registration in on time so you can vote, tell your friends to watch the video... keep it moving.
This is not a joke and this mocking madness isn't funny.
I voted Bush before because I centered in on two issues. In his first election, the Partial Birth Abortion issue was big and Democrats refused to get involved. Bush promised to sign a bill into law making partial birth abortions illegal. He did in his first term in office. Second time, I voted Bush because I believed that the Commander in Chief should be responsible for his own war. I don't regret my votes; they were centered in reasonable concerns. It's just time for change.
Sorry to hear you got suckered by a straw man gambit. Do you know what so-called "partial birth abortion" is? A rare procedure & not used to rid an unwanted "unborn child"-refers to what is an emergency, necessary procedure to save life of pregnant woman due to some critical hazard that has arisen-ask a gynecologist. "Partial Birth Abortion" is a smokescreen, foot in door to eventually crush women's right to choose, to control body. Long term plan: make all abortion illegal, then contraception.
I've actually seen the procedure mapped out and it is a bit gruesome. Talk with me about this; under what circumstances would a baby's head have to be drained in order to save the life of a mother?
This is neither here nor there for this election, but still interesting.
Wikipedia has an objective description of what the hubbub is about, under "Partial Birth Abortion". Googling the term pulls thousands of articles; my paranoid(?) take is the issue is purely an anti-choice tactic, carefully engineered for maximal sensationalization--little waving fingers, etc. Eventually: we must agree that human life begins at conception, therefore have to ban abortion. And: birth control pills are an abortifactant(?) so they will go too in the slippery slope long range plan.
That was sarcastic becuase Democrats claimed she has no experience, obama claims to be great community organizer, degrade social work? she does a ton of it, PTA, Hocky fundraisers, and has given rebirth to alaska, she also understands special needs more than any of these jokers, McCain included.... how can you say that, Demo. were attacking here level of experience, so she compared her responsibilities to Obama's, not that it wasn't important..geeze for a teacher thought you's be little brighter
Sarcasm is a common part of party politicking, I know. However, not one Republican had the right to turn their party's platform presentation into an MTV Roast episode. For the entirety of the evening, I heard comments that I would liken to a 7 p.m. drink around where good buddies sit down and talk about each others' mothers. I listened in as a voter who chooses to be informed, and all I heard was rhetoric befitting a girls' luncheon, insults and ridiculous bouts of laughter.
YESSSSSSSSS! I wanted to slap Guiliani and all the Elephant heads in the building last night for laughing at Barack for being a community organizer. They said change does not come from govenrment, but from the people(sounds more like Barack's style, don't you think), yet they LAUGH with scorn at those who don't get paid to better the society they could care less about. HYPOCRITES I TELL YOU!
A lot of what they said sounded exactly like what Barack Obama has been saying. I am ashamed of them. Not only have they left us all wondering what three days of ridicule and dancing to Jazz music was really about; They have also left us wondering how they can claim a man of Obama's rhetoric is small while stealing his stump lines and re-publicizing them as Republican. No, they don't have the right.
I will no longer concern myself with their prejudices, thick wallets, and out dated ideas. As you said we the people will have the last laugh. I'm already laughing at the fact when they have to say Mr.President Barack Obama.
those people need organizing because they don't know what they are doing. leave the presidency up to the Republicans. If it weren't for us, you wouldn't even have a job.
Sorry but Jesus done squat, it was his lackies that done all the work. Thank goodness for Pontus Pilate, he was an organiser. I didn't say I don't believed what she said, it was a POV political video. Just glad I don't live in the states, too much religion. Anyway what they have done is nore important than what they said.
Looks as though your area is in the path of Hurricane Hanna, Ms. James. I hope you dodge the storm, and that we all end up avoiding the neofascist creeps attacking true American values.

They had a laugh because the DNC is discrediting Palin being a mayor and governor of a small state - while on national tv his political supporters touted his community organzing as proof of experience.
I love you as an American but your statment can't be true because DNC means Democratic National Convention and during the DNC they didn't know who Palin was so they couldn't have tried to discredit her.
I know you probably ment Democrats but Barrack stuck up for her against the media attack of her family. Palin and Mccain need to come up with better ideas not try to discredit Obamas service.
You're right. She should do what a Democrat would do. Hide the daughter completely. Get her an abortion. And claim a right wing conspiracy if anyone claims there ever was a baby.
That sounds like what any person desperate to save their social reputation would do. Abortion is not a partisan idea; it is an individual one. I do not agree with the premise behind chosen abortions, but I don't restrict the choice to Democrats only.
That would imply that all morality belongs to the Republican Party. Morality cannot be legislated or made partisan.
Obama stuck up for her? He says one thing, while his official campaign spokespeople are releasing rumors and trash against her. What a great political strategy.
I'm offended you would deny that this is exactly what is going on.
I guess you'll also deny the official Obama spokesman releasing a statement that Governor Palin supported Pat Buchannan and strung them into Nazi sympathizing.
Video proof can be found here: "Morning Joe Crew: Obama Camp's Attack Outrageous"
I appreciate your reference to Morning Joe, but I need a primary source. Where exactly did a spokesperson accuse Ms. Palin of Nazi sympathizing? It is surely publicized in its primary form.
South Florida in-boxes are filling with e-mails like this one from Obama spokesman Mark Bubriski: "Palin was a supporter of Pat Buchanan, a right-winger or as many Jews call him: a Nazi sympathizer."
You may decide for yourself what Bubriski did, but I see that he invoked a common fear of the Jewish people. I am not a Jew, and I have not done research on Pat Buchanan, but I suspect he is a casualty of petty politics. He was a popular name.
I was disgusted by what they are doing: Obama worked hard for three years after college as a community organizer, and turned down high-salaried Wall Street work to do so! What about his work in the SENATE? What about his work teaching constituional law? These Republicans make me sick for the way they warp history in service of their thuggery. Glad you posted such important words. THANK YOU.
I was also very offended when she said that the "difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull is lipstick"....where are all the feminist groups? Would a male candidate be permitted to say such a thing? A vote for the McCain/Palin ticket is not only a vote for war (illegal occupation) but is also a vote that will set women back to the dark ages.
I was terribly embarrassed. I felt like I was looking through a window at a hockey moms' meeting where everyone was having lemonade and comparing their sons' plays for the day. That would be fine if I was watching a movie on hockey moms. I wasn't.
I was watching a NATIONALLY BROADCAST speech in support of an American political party. Imagine how other countries laughed at us.
I think that Obama's experience as a Community Organizer far exceeds a Governor as criteria for this election when so much is at stake. I am tired of Obama being compared to Palin when it comes to experience. I would prefer to have a President who went to law school knows the law of the land than a journalist major (nothing against journalist majors).
Great video.
That's right, don't vote for the qualifed candidate who had someone at his Convention poke fun at community organizers in defense to Obama's criticism of Palin (who is more qualified by the way). Instead, vote for the guy who voted against a bill that would help innocent, helpless babies who by some miracle survived a botched late term abortion. Yeah, he sounds like a man of character and integrity. NOT!! You are a bunch of fools if you believe in Obama!
-You know what you heard about raising taxes; you don't work in a school where consistent tax cuts have consistently cut the budgets that we used to have to serve our children.
-You know what you heard about providing health care for everyone; France, Britain and Canada all do. It's very much possible and the system does work.
-Read these posts for some info on Partial Birth Abortion. Then, do some research.
My parents are retired now. They're swing voters. My dad helps people get their books in order and to save their homes; my mom helps people with special heeds.
They called me up tonight after her speech and they were angrier than I could ever remember.
I say get out the vote and put McCain/Palin away.
They don't represent regular people; they laugh at them.
You said that rightly. I am embarrassed that such an open disrespect for everyday, politically and socially active people was aired on national television.
HOW DARE THEY DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN THE NAME OF CHANGE?
Not even close to threatened; enraged that anybody would be so bold as to publicly suggest that community organization is irresponsible and lacking leadership.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
She suggested no such thing - merely that it certainly does not qualify anyone per se to be president. Anyone can call himself a community organizer BTW.
Well, let's put it to the test. Review the message. As you watch, track the number of times that community organization as a vocation is mocked. Track the laughter. Monitor the tone. It's a political ploy, but it is inappropriate and unacceptable in a country of educated servants. Not one person on that stage had the right.
Nice Vid... I sincerely hope your point get accross to them. I was dumbfounded when I heard them rip community organizers... But, again, nothing Republicans do surprise me anymore.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
they laugh because your man obama says THATS his experience...well that and running campaign while downgrading palins experience as a mayor and gov...sarah is saying PLEASE!!! you get way more experience being a mayor and gov than a community organizer...thats all...
Oh please... poisoning your mind with a bunch of lies by Jerome Corsi?
Maybe you should step out of your fantasy world of hate and fear and read some facts for a change.
Corsi is nothing but a smear merchant who uses lies to twist people like you into voting against their own best interests, their family, and their country.
Learn to use Google and factcheck the garbage you're reading next time before you say anything again that makes you look foolish.
Isn't this the same woman who put hockey mom on her resume? here is the truth, experience is the only area republicans can attack obama on because he is right when it comes to issues. they laughed long and hard about community organizers. These are the types who were first responders when the republicans AND THE HIGHEST ELECTED OFFICIAL were throwing birthday parties & waiting. Need we go back to "My Pet Goat"? i didn't think so.
Obama is right when it comes to the issues as long as you don't mind living in a Socialist country. He was WRONG on the surge, WRONG on no drilling, WRONG on the economy (higher taxes is NOT what we need), WRONG to think he can provide health care and education to everyone. WRONG on botched partial birth abortions, and WRONG on who he chose for his spiritual mentor. The only reason he has a chance is because over 90% of African American's are voting for him. He lacks leadership/decision skills.
LOL. You've been having a field day while I was away. The concept of Socialism is noble; the practice has gone awry. Let's visit the history of socialist ideas.
In socialism, the government binds certain resources into a category called "common property" and it pays people according to their work regardless of their disabilities, creed, color and gender. Ownership belongs to the government and all persons pay taxes on their land because they don't own it (here we own it and still pay taxes).
How is he wrong on no drilling? If we begin drilling tomorrow, we still will not have the oil for another 7 years or something which is sufficient time to explore other energy options. So here we are again, the republicans have an old solution to an old problem.
thats not what she said she dissed community organizer and said that they are not qualified, and obama when saying you cling to your guns and religion was blown out of proportion...and obama was right when he said because disappred
Religion AND gun? One or the other might suffice in itself. Apparently you've got The Afterlife in your sights. Hope you score a bullseye there, podnah. What about Obama editing the Harvard Law Review, with a staff of 80 under his direction?
-You know about the surge what you heard; never mind they are killing themselves in record numbers.
-You know what you heard about drilling; what makes you think economic stability will be established by further destroying natural resources for the temporary relief of gas prices?

Nobama is not poised for presidency at this point.
j4obamanot 3 years ago
I disagree. Some of the best leaders in history did not have a loyalty to the "Red, White and Blue." They demonstrated loyalty to the safety and interests of the people.
We must remember that we are not rallying behind an inanimate object. We are rallying behind the principles that make up the nation it represents.

tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
Just curious...so if Palin had the experience of a community organizer and Nobama was a governor and had the experience of being a mayor, then you'd be saying Palin would be the better candidate? Really, you think the community organizer experience is better experience than a governor's experience when running an entire country? I can appreciate a person working as a community organizer, but I just don't see how that position would qualify a person for the presidency/vice-presidency.
j4obamanot 3 years ago
You must take stock of a whole person, not just his or her occupation.
I prefer a man who has served and worked among everyday people to a man who has managed the masses from a ten foot pole distance.
There is a compassion you gain in the midst of the people you can't get in office. Prowess can be learned in the progress of doing a job; compassion is a precursor in a job like the presidency.

nooly33 3 years ago
For the record, clowns are entertainers. That is an occupation also and I respect it for what it is.
Great leadership requires charisma. This is one of the most basic characteristics of any good leader. This is why Ms. Palin was chosen for the Republican ticket: charisma. And, everyone watched the RNC to hear a charismatic speech. Even FOX, an obviously subjective, Republican network, agrees to that.

Why all of the drama? It was a good line and I laughed too. The thing is that you liberals just don't get it.
You liberals ganged up on and attacked this woman for days. She said nothing, then you are shocked she fought back in her speech?!
She wasn't attacking community organizers she was getting back at your "messiah" Obama who attacked her experience as a Mayor.
Obama is NOT God. All black people are not for him. I'm not.
LuvWorkingAtHome 3 years ago
oh right, when Obama was criticized for being in Washington for just a few years (forget prior activities) it was warrented, but when somebody who has only been mayor and governor starts saying that herself, and discrediting good ideas in a middle school fashion, and liberals respond to not only possibly slanderous statements, but also total hypocricies it is an attack. Thank you for pointing that out my lord, I'll never question a party that has strong evidence against them as acting facist

What an interesting comeback Bands...

PLEASE.
IndyPenDentChik 3 years ago
This is a debate of facts, not valuation.
Obama's statement says "I am managing 50 times more people everyday in my campaign than you have in your legislative tenure." Palin's statement says, "My job has leadership value; yours doesn't."
Her statement is offensive, inaccurate and presumptuous.
SHE HAD NO RIGHT!!!
tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
The State of Alaska employs approximately 15,000 employees statewide. These employees work primarily for the Executive Branch of State Government..minor exclusion in Obama's assessment.
Obama feels that he has to defend his experience against Palin's..but wait..Palin is the VP pick. If Obama is elected he will be #1 right out of the gate. SCARY.
Palin's statement does not say anything about "leadership value". Plain's statement is about true executive accountability/responsibility.
IndyPenDentChik 3 years ago
If we're talking about accountability and responsibility, it's only fair that I hold her accountable and responsible for the direct, mocking way that she talked about over 70% of the people in the US of A in her speech last night.
Most of us have regular jobs that we haven't held down for more than two years. Do you know why? The job market is so unreliable that you find yourself switching positions every two to three while organizing community persons and gaining leadership experience.
tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
Palin WAS NOT MOCKING ANYBODY BUT OBAMA BECAUSE HE IS A JOKE! Being a community organizer does NOT qualify one to be president. You liberals have so much fear and hate, and if we let you run the country with it, our country will be ruined. Well I'll tell you what...I'm pissed off that Obama wants to tax me more to pay for his entitlement programs...programs that in the end put a strain on the majority to help the few and give the federal government the power it doesn't deserve.
IndyPenDentChik 3 years ago
Sorry guy but our country is already jacked up. I am middle class, my salary is around 100k. Obama is raising taxes 5% and McCain is raising taxes by 3% for me it's a matter of a better leader. Bush was a horrible president and McCain voted for him 90% of the time. I don't need 8 more years of that. I don't like my taxes paying for other people but I would rather them go to saving a life then to losing a million lives in Iraq. I am former military and can tell you this war vietnam part II.

It's just time for change.
tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
Sorry to hear you got suckered by a straw man gambit. Do you know what so-called "partial birth abortion" is? A rare procedure & not used to rid an unwanted "unborn child"-refers to what is an emergency, necessary procedure to save life of pregnant woman due to some critical hazard that has arisen-ask a gynecologist. "Partial Birth Abortion" is a smokescreen, foot in door to eventually crush women's right to choose, to control body. Long term plan: make all abortion illegal, then contraception.
strandwolf 3 years ago 3
I've actually seen the procedure mapped out and it is a bit gruesome. Talk with me about this; under what circumstances would a baby's head have to be drained in order to save the life of a mother?
This is neither here nor there for this election, but still interesting.
tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
Wikipedia has an objective description of what the hubbub is about, under "Partial Birth Abortion". Googling the term pulls thousands of articles; my paranoid(?) take is the issue is purely an anti-choice tactic, carefully engineered for maximal sensationalization--little waving fingers, etc. Eventually: we must agree that human life begins at conception, therefore have to ban abortion. And: birth control pills are an abortifactant(?) so they will go too in the slippery slope long range plan.

Sarcasm is a common part of party politicking, I know. However, not one Republican had the right to turn their party's platform presentation into an MTV Roast episode. Palin is videorecording her underaged daughters in campaign videos online.
She is also parading around her unwed, pregnant daughter with her unmarried boyfriend on political trips. This is unfair to both children.
tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
You're right. She should do what a Democrat would do. Hide the daughter completely. Get her an abortion. And claim a right wing conspiracy if anyone claims there ever was a baby.
shonester 3 years ago
That sounds like what any person desperate to save their social reputation would do. Abortion is not a partisan idea; it is an individual one. I do not agree with the premise behind chosen abortions, but I don't restrict the choice to Democrats only.
That would imply that all morality belongs to the Republican Party. Morality cannot be legislated or made partisan.

Obama stuck up for her? He says one thing, while his official campaign spokespeople are releasing rumors and trash against her. What a great political strategy.
shonester 3 years ago
Name one official campaign spokesperson that released a rumor.
Why would a campaign need to do that when we have YouTube, MySpace, Politico and every other social engine to do that?
I could do that if I wanted. Obama hardly has to spend a dime for that madness.
I'm offended you suggest such a thing.
tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
I'm offended you would deny that this is exactly what is going on.
I guess you'll also deny the official Obama spokesman releasing a statement that Governor Palin supported Pat Buchannan and strung them into Nazi sympathizing.
Video proof can be found here: "Morning Joe Crew: Obama Camp's Attack Outrageous"
shonester 3 years ago
I appreciate your reference to Morning Joe, but I need a primary source. Where exactly did a spokesperson accuse Ms. Palin of Nazi sympathizing? It is surely publicized in its primary form.
That's a big deal.
tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
There is no proof because it isn't true.
Shonester is probably a freeper troll... his tactics stink like them.
He'll probably claim Obama is a Muslim next.

Are you kidding me? This is a fact. Look up google news and you'll find tons of articles from legitimate sources that reported on this.
Can't post links on here. Youtube won't post the message.
Do a google news search of:
(Obama spokesman) Mark Bubriski and Palin. You will find several articles in legitimate news sources.
shonester 3 years ago
Here is exactly what Mark Bubriski said:
South Florida in-boxes are filling with e-mails like this one from Obama spokesman Mark Bubriski: "Palin was a supporter of Pat Buchanan, a right-winger or as many Jews call him: a Nazi sympathizer."
You may decide for yourself what Bubriski did, but I see that he invoked a common fear of the Jewish people. I am not a Jew, and I have not done research on Pat Buchanan, but I suspect he is a casualty of petty politics. He was a popular name.

Thank you for voting Obama-Biden!

A vote for the McCain/Palin ticket is not only a vote for war (illegal occupation) but is also a vote that will set women back to the dark ages.
immamean1 3 years ago 4
I was terribly embarrassed. I felt like I was looking through a window at a hockey moms' meeting where everyone was having lemonade and comparing their sons' plays for the day. That would be fine if I was watching a movie on hockey moms. I wasn't.
I was watching a NATIONALLY BROADCAST speech in support of an American political party. Imagine how other countries laughed at us.

I think that Obama's experience as a Community Organizer far exceeds a Governor as criteria for this election when so much is at stake. I am tired of Obama being compared to Palin when it comes to experience. I would prefer to have a President who went to law school knows the law of the land than a journalist major (nothing against journalist majors).
immamean1 3 years ago 3
And, I would like to here something about Gov. Palin's community service.
Has she ever held a spoon to a poor child's mouth, served in a nursing home, served at a women's shelter, etc...
Does she know the condition of 70-80 PERCENT of the people in this nation?

I voted Republican twice, ever since I was able to register to vote. This year, I will vote for Obama-Biden.
HOW DARE THEY ASSUME THAT THEY CAN MOCK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE LIKE THIS AND NOT HEAR FROM US!!!
tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
That's right, don't vote for the qualifed candidate who had someone at his Convention poke fun at community organizers in defense to Obama's criticism of Palin (who is more qualified by the way). Instead, vote for the guy who voted against a bill that would help innocent, helpless babies who by some miracle survived a botched late term abortion. Yeah, he sounds like a man of character and integrity. NOT!! You are a bunch of fools if you believe in Obama!
mccainpalinrockin08 3 years ago

SpySlowhands 3 years ago 5
You said that rightly. I am embarrassed that such an open disrespect for everyday, politically and socially active people was aired on national television.
HOW DARE THEY DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN THE NAME OF CHANGE?

Not even close to threatened; enraged that anybody would be so bold as to publicly suggest that community organization is irresponsible and lacking leadership.

She suggested no such thing - merely that it certainly does not qualify anyone per se to be president. Anyone can call himself a community organizer BTW.
bravo90543 3 years ago
Well, let's put it to the test. Review the message. As you watch, track the number of times that community organization as a vocation is mocked. Track the laughter. Monitor the tone. It's a political ploy, but it is inappropriate and unacceptable in a country of educated servants. Not one person on that stage had the right.

If that is his experience so what. We know the type of "Experience" you have set as a standard, but we will decide. Simple.
Lungyao1 3 years ago
Isn't this the same woman who put hockey mom on her resume? here is the truth, experience is the only area republicans can attack obama on because he is right when it comes to issues. they laughed long and hard about community organizers. These are the types who were first responders when the republicans AND THE HIGHEST ELECTED OFFICIAL were throwing birthday parties & waiting. Need we go back to "My Pet Goat"? i didn't think so.
leadership is not one size fits all.

pnp2k6 3 years ago 2
Obama is right when it comes to the issues as long as you don't mind living in a Socialist country. He was WRONG on the surge, WRONG on no drilling, WRONG on the economy (higher taxes is NOT what we need), WRONG to think he can provide health care and education to everyone. WRONG on botched partial birth abortions, and WRONG on who he chose for his spiritual mentor. The only reason he has a chance is because over 90% of African American's are voting for him. He lacks leadership/decision skills.
mccainpalinrockin08 3 years ago
LOL. You've been having a field day while I was away. The concept of Socialism is noble; the practice has gone awry. Let's visit the history of socialist ideas.
In socialism, the government binds certain resources into a category called "common property" and it pays people according to their work regardless of their disabilities, creed, color and gender. Ownership belongs to the government and all persons pay taxes on their land because they don't own it (here we own it and still pay taxes).
tjschoolteacher 3 years ago
One person's wrong is another, thinking person's right.
You have to realize something is a problem in order to fix it. Mccain doesn't realize it. Palin doesn't know what "it" is.
More than african american's are for obama. Even europeans are for obama.
btw most of your "wrongs" are wrong. No wonder you are for mccain.
MissNophi2U 3 years ago
How is he wrong on no drilling? If we begin drilling tomorrow, we still will not have the oil for another 7 years or something which is sufficient time to explore other energy options. So here we are again, the republicans have an old solution to an old problem.
Sarabear154 3 years ago
thats not what she said she dissed community organizer and said that they are not qualified, and obama when saying you cling to your guns and religion was blown out of proportion...and obama was right when he said because disappred
gqmodel818 3 years ago
Religion AND gun? One or the other might suffice in itself. Apparently you've got The Afterlife in your sights. Hope you score a bullseye there, podnah. What about Obama editing the Harvard Law Review, with a staff of 80 under his direction?
strandwolf 3 years ago
Yes,he did, and Palin change colleges 6 or 7 times. Why is this? I would like to hear her answer.
karen4215 3 years ago
Why? It's none of your busines.. I heard it was due to financial issues. Mind your own business!
mccainpalinrockin08 3 years ago
Two, you are WRONG about OBAMA.
-You know about the surge what you heard; never mind they are killing themselves in record numbers.
-You know what you heard about drilling; what makes you think economic stability will be established by further destroying natural resources for the temporary relief of gas prices?
