Thanks for the comments yall,we are just working on the top 6 inches for now and try to save some artifacts from being broken before the land owner plows in march,this land has never been plowed,we cant wait to get down to the clay.We also found pottery shards and evidance of fire pits.
That hillside looks very similar to the camp we have on our place in Madison County up on a hillside above some old springs. I dig down to the clay layer and usually find the points right above the clay. Y'all sure found some nice stuff in just the little bit of digging y'all did. That spot is going to produce a bunch of stuff it looks like. Thanks for taking us along for the ride bro!
That palmwood hammer stone and nutting stone are really cool. Some nice points you scratched up also. We have never done a dig but I think we would wear that stop out!!
