  • alan said it kind off right 10:03

  • So, either somebody was wearing skin pants and coincidentally came into a lot of money and they thought, "Oh, it must've been the skin pants;" or they sat down and reasoned it out: "Stealing a coin from a widow, that's a way to make money. But wouldn't it be more efficient to put the coin into a scooped-out scrotum -- no wait, I'll need the legs and feet as well..."

That's the kind of shit the human brain comes up with if exposed to volcanic fumes for long enough.

  • NFFForever.

  • im a slave to a foxes bollock me

  • Ross was on fire this episode.

One of my favourite bits- 38:59

    "Shut up, I KNOW something".

  • Holy mother of....

There was an episode with Brian Blessed on YouTube this whole time... and I never knew?!!

  • 1:25 is Sean having a wank?

  • I have been watching Qi since series 1 and I still don't get the point system.

  • 6:01 that woman from the french ep is back!

  • GORDON'S ALIVE! Legend.

  • How did brian blessed get minus 2? He said so many goo stories and fry said they were true.

  • One more thing: Tibet, for the sasquatch. Or, as they were known to a mister Lovecraft, the Mi-Go. BOOM.

  • HAHAHAHAH 2:19 I wasn't the only one who thought that, FINALLY

  • Comment removed

  • story at 28:30 I expected him to say that he would rejoin his people.

  • The question after 25:56: What's black and white and red all over ;o)

  • @Blackaddam A silent movie with subtitles? Haha ah No, of course it was a Flaming penguin!

  • BRIAN BLESSED PLEASE COME BACK <3

  • God that woman in the crowd is bloody brilliant.

  • NO EDGE!

  • Is it me, or does it look like they get drunker throughout the episode?...

  • @vivalasaunders Coffee wears off faster than alcohol.

  • xmas remix

  • Blesses is simply brilliant. His hosting on HIGNFY was classic

  • Why does Sean always say something hilarious when I'm in the middle of taking a drink or smoking a pipe?

  • @MrDjFtw Only in the comments section of a QI video would we find a pipe smoker.

  • @antispare i fail to see the comparison

  • @antispare

How? QI states little known facts and mythbusters well they bust myths, QI always source the people who made the discoveries/inventions so how did they rip off myth busters?

  • "This ice cream is made from fox testicles."

    *Ross eats faster*

  • I completely lost it when Alan started waving those books around wildly.

  • I'm Australian, but God I'd rather be British like these blokes - I wish my great great grandfather hadn't stolen that bread roll :'(

  • @pdmexpress05 He was a rapist not a bread thief!

  • @TheJesussmasher No, that was my Great Grandfather.

  • @pdmexpress05 brilliant joke mate

  • @pdmexpress05 Think how I feel. I'm American -- we stopped being British *on purpose.*

  • (note: I am Icelandic) Alan Davies pronounced Eyjafjallajökull very well, better than Stephen Fry

  • @kih19 I know, when he said it it sounded more like some distorted version of fjarðarbyggð with an e in the front

  • 2:12 is a reference to Seans stand up routine!

  • When you find an episode you didn´t know existed, it´s almost better than sex.

  • @yatter1 Almost?

  • OMG Santa is weird.

  • well i thought i had watched all the episodes of QI and i found this episode yay :)

  • Roughly one day taken off per three years is the most in the world? Roughly one per career is the UK average? That can't be right.

  • I am Dave Yognaught! and I have the balls!

And simon would love this episode!

  • @AppleAssassin ??????????????

  • iGlue

  • It came as such a surprise to learn that BRIAN BLESSED was 75. He seems very energetic and young despite the grey hair!

  • @MrQtipss Is* 75, ha!

  • BRIAN BLESSED was amazing, but I also gotta say that Ross Noble was on top form this episode

  • I've not seen this episode before! I think it's my favourite one, laughed soooo damn hard...! Sean Locke, Ross Noble, Alan Davies, Stephen Fry and of course BRIAN BLESSED! Sooo damn proud to be British right now :)

  • the 'Isle Of Man' has the oldest parliament in the world doesn't it?

  • which emperor were they talking about at 09.07 please? i only got the name Kaan

  • @touriaification you can't be serious.

  • @swunt10 I heard khaan and clearly missed what Fry said for a few seconds, assuming they may have been ferering to the mongol emperor. buy anyway, you carry on feeling more knowledgeable than the average person, if it boosts your ego...

  • @touriaification ghankis khaan or something or orther. he was a pimp.

  • @ralfidude a pimp you say. oh dear, now i feel stupid. thanks!

  • 17:29 Enough said

  • Isn't it impossible for a wolf to be tame?

And beliving in yetis seems a bit strange... But by Stephen Fry that man is just so jolly!

  • @Kaaxe I know a couple of people who have posed with live wolves in the wild, so they might be a bit civil. Besides, they only attack if you bugger them up.

  • Shut up brian

  • DO YOU HAVE ANY JAM SANDWICHES!?!?!?!?

  • I. FREAKING. LOVE. ALAN DAVIES.

  • BRIAN BLESSED'S NAME MUST BE WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS, FOR THAT IS THE CORRECT SPELLING!!!!!!!

  • @stealthunter14 He did not get the one in Infantile, and there were 2 or 3 no one got.

  • SEEEANS ALIIIIIIVE!!!!

  • Who else thinks Ross's impersonation of an Icelandic person sounds like Jar-Jar Binks?

  • OMG my country won on ice-skates.... awesome :D

  • Does Allan always win on christmas? (and only ever on christmas)

  • Does anyone know when the shakespeare episode is going to air?

  • Wait I don't get the last name thing. Don't you take your fathers last name anyway unless you chose to switch it.

  • @DirectrissKat you don't take your father's LAST name, you take his FIRST name. Allan's son would be David Allanson, and his son would be Erik Davidson, his Markus Erikson, and so on.

  • @QueenMegaera Oohhh, I get it. Thanks! I misunderstood what they were saying.

  • I think you have to be British to appreciate Brian Blessed...

  • @abirchf

Nonsense! I'm Dutch and I would spit on my own principles if I would deny the magnificent specimen of man that is Brian Blessed his well earned praise.

  • @WindmillStalker I'll admit I know very little about the man. Which meant that he came across very boisterous to me.

  • @abirchf I'm Canadian, and I thought he was great. Is the bastard really in his seventies?

  • @abirchf I agree with WindmillStalker. You don't need to be British to appreciate Brian Blessed. He's a wonderful man, full of life, energy, and great humor.

  • Out of all the many plenty QI episodes I've seen this is the only episode I've seen in which someone else gets a more louder reception applause than Alan Daives at the start.

Only a man like BRIAN could make this happen, reshape the laws of physics.

  • Can just imagination the props people crying when Alan destroyed the yellow pages xD

  • 1:23

    erm...Sean?

  • @onehandedman I've heard of a tactical wank....

  • @onehandedman your username is so apt for that comment

  • @onehandedman well, sitting next to BRIAN BLESSED who can blame him lol.

  • @onehandedman he rang his jingle bells a bit early ;)

  • One of the funniest episodes ever!!! I love all of them but this one had me in tears!

  • I want to be Brian Blessed when I grow up.

  • I wish Brian Blessed would narrate my life...

  • Godammit, Nanook used ice!

  • Oh dear. Does that make the people wearing those skin-trousers necropantsers?

  • Comment removed

  • We do not speak with such an stupid accent!

  • @fanneypalsd oyaeah yessa ya do-ah

  • Oh BRIAN BLESSED, you just make everything you touch better! xD

  • Oh and the Falklands aren't in the Antarctic!

  • Stephen Fry needs to get his facts straight on the subject of the penguins in the Falklands! Whaling stopped in the Falklands many years BEFORE the land mines. The land mines have had no bearing on the penguin population. I don't understand where he got that "fact" from. The penguins have thrived since whaling stopped.

  • @FalklandsRoxy Theres been quite a few cases where things have been presented as fact on QI when infact its been shown to be implausible or debunked by academics.

They have a team of researchers, its not just Stephen claiming to know everything ;-)

  • @carpii Such as the carbon swapping pap he keeps carting out every few shows?

  • I think Brian Blessed is prolly more interesting than the guy from the Dos Equis commercials.

  • Brian certainly knows a lot about yeti.... wow.... :) i love him...

  • @poldova ALSO! I HAVE THOSE SAME BELLS!

  • @poldova I've never seen someone reply to themself on youtube, bravo.

  • @LMW87MMA What can I say, I talk to myself.... mark of genius? or insanity... :)

  • ross noble, brian blessed, and alan davis .... how could this ever be bad?

  • @lulabell0 : Now after hearing his words on the Yeti, I love him as much as you... !!! ...

    @08dhook : Agreed~!

  • All this episode needs is a healthy dose of Bill Bailey and it'd been perfect! Love it!

  • The first QI with this much slapstick :P

  • It's actually the brits that had the biggest empire

  • @splerppp He said it was the biggest empire the world HAD ever seen. The brits came after.

  • ALAN WON! ALAN WON! I thought they purposefully made him lose all the time. But, YAY!

  • At 1:44 Brian Blessed looks like Fizzgig from The Dark Crystal.

  • I would so like to be there in the audience and tell them how to pronounced Eyjafjallajökull once and for all. It's time the world knows!

  • I know my Alan)))

  • iGlue.

  • Is it just me or is stephen shitting himself at the start of this cuz blessed in on.

  • @Choomanama just you

  • Just imagine Brian Blessed as the last dragonborn.

    There's your damn WMD.

  • @TheCoolWelshy I can see him yelling FUUUS RO DAH! from the top of a mountain

  • I love Stephen's Geordie accent. :D

  • I've been to Iceland, they only have 1 joke there but it's a good one:

"What do you do if you get lost in a forest in Iceland... You stand up"

The trees are very, very short there, and there aren't very many of them... OK maybe you have to be there.

It's not as funny as watching them dance :D

  • @elegantfacelesswitch I was in Iceland in January of last year and I was told the same joke!

  • Welcome back nickfromfulham!!!!

  • I think that there should be a documentary about the yeti presented by Brian Blessed.

  • ross stuffing himself with fox-testicle-icecream... priceless!

  • i love the way brian blessed is so jolly about absolutely everything

  • Just absolutely hilarious when Sean falls in the floor.

  • is it just me or did Alan get every 'nobody knows' this season

  • @stealthunter14 One or two of them went unclaimed, I think.

  • @stealthunter14 I believe he is at an 80% rate so far. He definitely got the first ones then tapered off until this episode.

  • @stealthunter14 not every, but almost

  • @stealthunter14 Not in Incomprehensible. He missed the credit for the one about Saturn and just plain missed the one about the lettuce.

  • @stealthunter14 I think he got all but 2 (he drew 1)

  • @stealthunter14 Answer: Nobody knows

  • @stealthunter14 No he didn't

  • @stealthunter14 Yea i know! I think through the whole season he has missed about 1 or 2 tops xD

  • Bell seven is wildly sharp! Still, the fact that there was a bell choir featured on QI is totally brilliant. X3

  • There is a real photo of the player piano/pianola on the arctic, its marvellous, Im surprised and saddened QI didnt use it

  • Brian Blessed gave chocolate to a dog.. that's so sad. i hope he didn't make it sick.

  • @310BPM There's fuck all chocolate in a Mars bar.

  • @sfshinz

so? depends on how the big the dog was.

and it also depends on the dog, and what kind of chocolate it is.

and chocolate is bad for dogs. period. everyone should know not to give chocolate to a dog.

  • Hang on... Is there a "tl"-sound at the last two l's of Eyjafjallajökull? I thought that pronunciation was only used when the l's are between two vowels. Am I wrong or was Stephen misinformed?

  • @snakesruleLMR "sæll" and many other words with double L endings have the "TL" sound

  • 33:48 LMAO

  • CELEBRITY WAR ON ICE.... LMAO

  • I love this show

  • yeeha one country that mcdonald's could not conquer.

  • Ross Noble ROCKS!!

  • This line up is KILLER

  • give Father christmas less sugar, please.

  • 10:12 - 10:17 my new ringtone

  • Thank alot for upload!

Hmm i wonder what happened with NickFromFulham? x)

  • Let's all hope for the best; that even people as young as I will watch episodes with names like "Zen" and "Zoology" with our kids in the future :D

  • The parliament in the Faroes is older than the one in Iceland

  • @SecretHolder plus more,QI is wrong in the fact that Iceland has the most Nobelprice winners per capital in the world, The Faroe islands do. The Faroes hold a Nobel price in medicine with one 5th of the population of that of Iceland.

  • @aGeilini I think they count Faroe Islands as part of Denmark. If that's why you don't get this honour, then I am outraged. Færeyjar eiga allan heiður skilið, og meir en það.

  • @aGeilini Not a fully independent country now, and they didn't even have home rule when the person from there received the prize.

  • @Varanae So what you are saying is that Scotland, that is not a independent country and had Nine Nobel price winners before achieving home rule in 1998, none of them should be credited to Scotland according to your definition.

  • @aGeilini Correct, the country is the United Kingdom.

  • @aGeilini as you could have read earlier you are wrong as well, it's St. Lucia with two winners

  • BRIAN BLESSED?

    In my QI?

    MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!

(Also, Sean Lock & Ross Noble. Couldn't ask for anything more.)

  • Thumbs up if you knew about the ear pull because of Metal Gear Solid

  • How well does this show do in England? Do you know if it'll make it through all 26 letters?

  • @retidahling It does very well. It is almost constantly on TV. There is never a time of day when it is not posible to watch an episode or a rerun. A list celebrities stand in line for the chance to apear on QI. So yes they'll make it to 26

  • @Daleksaresupreme1 Yay!! That makes me so happy!! I can't wait to see what they do for series x!

  • @retidahling Pretty good chance, I think. Its been running since 2003 and gets repeated a lot
