Being stripped of your citizenship is not limited to naturalized immigrants. It allows "them" to ship you off to a black site for interrogation without recourse. It also allows the US Govt to kill you without due process by stripping you of your rights. Most people don't know that the Declaration of Independence is a Natural Law document, and is valid to any person anywhere. Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness for all Mankind. Just think, Americans could chose to revolt against government tyranny, even if completely united, and then get labeled enemy of the state. All of a sudden nobody's a citizen. On top of that NDAA could get everyone into FEMA camps. Sounds like 1940's Germany situation? Scary. Who would have thought we'd see the day that Americans lost all their principals while tweeting praise to the leaders in office for their great jobs as tyrannical saboteurs.

Perhaps everyone should do what I did, which was to write to Obama in 2010 and offer to cash out and then renounce my citizenship. No answer except a form letter suggesting I reapply for disability (I asked for new forms but they haven't come yet) and it's my understanding that if I do renounce, it won't be free, as before, but I will have to pay 450 USD. They want me to give up my soc sec AND pay a fee???

@slobomotion That is my understanding. So many Americans are renouncing their citizenship to protect their foreign assets and income from IRS seizure that the US State Department began charging for the process (I believe) 2 years ago. The fee is a very recent addition. The government won't make a lot of money with the new fee, but it speaks volumes about how tyrannical the US has become to live in.

@yhird Yeah, I have heard from several people who could not get passports out of the USA, passports mind you, not visas elsewhere, because they had debts! I got a passport for Bruce David Thorpe in 2010 and they didn't want to give it to him! They also asked a LOT of rude, impertinent questions, such as was he going to have sex with me? He is sweet and dumb and just smiled and said, "I wouldn't mind!" But this is an indication ...

Seriously, good for you for withholding personal information, it's nobody's business but your own. Your bank accounts are yours and yours alone. Americans have been giving the federal government a blank check for 236 years and now the bill is due and they have squandered the fortune. I'm all out of sympathy for the government. Take care.

@yhird The French are even worse. They submit to authority immediately. We do have different laws over here but you could certainly ask for a police officer's id and few here even think of that! @yhird I knew things were screwy when the Treasury Dept. started asking me about 15 years ago to voluntarily declare any foreign bank accts I had! I am French now, too, and I thought, no way am I telling them about my joint checking acct with my French husband! That is none of their business and my husband is French, not American! I got out of the USD totally last year. I will never go back. I visited briefly in 2010 and left after 2 nights!

I offered my family in the States to bring them here at my expense to live permanently in 2010 and they turned me down. Now they are upset I quit sending money. Whether this would apply to those born in the US or not, it is just part of the slippery slope that can easily be applied to every US citizen eventually. Slowly, bit by bit, our rights/freedoms are being taken away and the majority of Americans just don't know or care. Very scary. Thanks ECP for reposting.

He has been known to say the occasional thing in opposition to the current administration. It sounds extreme, but the wording of this bill leaves qualification of "enemy" to the administration to define.

Is it dangerous to vote for someone other than the current chief?

@trollprepper I wonder if the average person realizes that HITLER did not put people on the train to Auschwitz by saying 'come lets all go get gassed'. They did so because they were ORDERED TO GO.
