@tbretzer. I read somewhere on your comments that you wish the original could be restored. Not sure how the copyright thing works, but I have taken a LOT of noise out of some of my favourite tracks that I downloaded from I-tunes. If you want me to try this for you I would be happy to, no fee as I dont do this for a living. Dont need the original as I can get acceptable results working from high bitrate MP3's and the like.
bought their first album when it came out &this one thereafter!! havent heard this in 20+ years!! Thanks!! Great music....what happened? today C-rap,gone tomarrow?we can only hope.... rap music, what an Oxymoron!!!!
One of my all time favorite albums, and through the miracle of YouTube we may all enjoy these great works from UK again. In one hyphenated word: MEGA-OUTSTANDING!
A band that introduced 80's progressive rock, with a taste of what was to come through Asia, since John Wetton was there. I loved this song. It was my favorite from the album. Thanks for the send-up!
Picture a young black kid from the streets finding this tape in his deceased grandfathers collection in 95.He played it so much that his older siblings hated him for it.They eventually destroyed the tape while holding the kid down. But that kid is a grown man now and his ears still refuse to be prejudiced against great music. Church
I love this album! I saw UK in Edmonton Canada in1979 when they opened for Jethro Tull after Allan Holdsworth had left the band. Shortly after that, Eddie Jobson played on Jethro Tull's "A" album. I believe he was 18 years old at the time.
Years ago i sold most of my records but thanks to you tube i rediscoverd this, now i'm in search to buy this record and the previous one UK,on cd,awsome musicianship,on a pair with rush
This is so fantastic; we can hear this great UK composition without ripping up our own vinyl copies! God bless YouTube and all those who bring classic UK to our eyes and ears! Beyond fantastic!
Dang, saw these guys open for Jethro Tull in I think in 79, then bought this cassette, wore it out, I know Itunes had their first album but I never saw this one, have not checked in awhile maybe they have it now. Great song, thanks.
Uk was underrated as a band. Not as ambitious as ELP or as experimental as King Crimson. Wetton had a great rock voice, Jobson provided the x factor with his electric volin, aside from his competent keyboard playing. Bozzio drumming provided a more solid rock beat than Bruford.
This is one of my fav track, despite sounding like Jethro Tulls The Whistler.
@simplyre I know it's been a year since you posted about Eddie Jobson"s "competent keyboard playing" LOL! Herbie Hancock the great jazz keyboard legend was asked about who he thought were great keyboard players. He said Jobson was the greatest rock keyboardist alive, he can move with ease and grace from the punchiness of piano keys to the softness of organ and synth keys without effort and his ideas, technique, improvisational skills and sound vocabulary combined are unapproachable. Yup.
@TBretzer first time! well well... I have 16-17 years and I love prog!!!
but I hate that the midia is soo fucky shit that made my generation acultured and ignorant and ARROGANT and soo So Danger money Danger!!! They just thing in and sex.. well not just then but. Anyway thank you for the lesson

I saw that tour too at Long Beach Arena, Long Beach, CA (I was bombed off my ass - too bad!) I guess it was on that tour where Jobson met Anderson and left UK to join Tull for the 1980 Tull release...

@Maskedfreakinabox I thought it was only Eddie Jobson with another musicians doing it? I might be wrong though...!
divyx 1 month ago
@divyx no, they just had an inconsistent lineup.
Maskedfreakinabox 1 month ago
@divyx Bill Bruford and John Wetton formed the band and later brought in Eddie Jobson and Allan Holdsworth for the original lineup.

You'd like the film "The Last boy Scout". The bad guy says to Bruce Willis, "I'd like to hear you scream in agony just once."
"Play some rap music." replies Willis.
Truth in jest.
