  • I'm surprised the red bar is longer than the green bar for (dis)likes.

  • thumbs up if your not colorblind but just did the test anyway

  • im color blind lol

  • It's funny how some people say this test is "easy". It's not meant to be a difficult test, it's meant for people to figure out of they're colourblind or not.

Thank you for making this video, I found it very helpful! :)

  • @Nesbittle so true. we take a color test at work to find PPL who can varify part colors. I have heard some people say "it's easy, you just go in and you'll pass" um... way to make someone feel stupid if they can't pass the "easy" test

  • Yeah, we did something like this in my health class, i was the one of the only kids not to like anything at all. And doing this video, i could only see one of the shapes and no numbers at all. Well it looks like I'm color deficient.

  • I didn't see a thing.

  • 1:46 "you have 5 seconds to identify one or more objects" they give u 8 seconds

  • so easy but wher ethe pop up

  • I am colour blind but i see the square and circle in blue clearly but I am blind for the other

  • Of course many of you guys say this is easy. This is not a hard test. Some eyes like mine can't see all of them. It's not because it's hard

  • I am confirmed colour blind by my optician and i passed all of these?

  • im dizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzyyyy

  • almost failed, had to look very carefully

  • freakin easy man!

  • nice music what is it called?

  • EASY

  • @HyperSniper41 Sure you can, your job options are just limited. I can't pass this test but they still let me in.

  • im black defision

  • haah they spelt colour wrong in the title :L

  • @mccf1524 The person who mad ethe video is probably American. Americans spell colour "color"

  • Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through a commercial

Remember when music videos were uploaded by users and not VEVO

Remember when all the info was to the right of the video

Remember you could rate a video 1-5 stars

Remember the famous yellow subscribe button

Remember when the users controlled the site and not corporations?

    WE MISS THE OLD YOUTUBE!

Post this in every video and let’s start a revolution

    Thumbs up to keep top

  • @backwords0991 Most of this stuff sounds awesome. But what's better about having information to the right of the video, and what's so cool about yellow buttons? It's also pretty funny to mention yellow buttons at a video like this one.

  • So you're telling me someone who isn't color blind can clearly see these? I don't know if I believe that >.>

  • @z2thaanko They're not very clear, but I can still figure out the numbers within five seconds.

  • thay are alll obvious

  • Can anyone tell me what this song is actually called please?

  • like he said most color blind people only see black and white is a myth but there is a rare type where only like 0.000001% of the world has and its where they only see white black and gray but most are just people who cant see the right color

  • hi, i lost my far vision when i was younger and i regret it i really want my vision back, i tried eating carrots, sleeping more, etc..... no changes :(, if anyone can help me please , thankss

  • i stopped watching the moment i failed at 1 test T_T im not colorblind i am NOT! D:

  • People with abnormal color vision are blatantly discriminated against, especially in the government job sector. In some countries color deficcient individuals cant even get a drivers liscense. There is no substantial evidence that color defficient vision hinders anyone from doing anything.

  • @slarky789 That would be a case where you have to determine it it's lawful or unlawful discrimination. For me, when I see a rainbow, the only colors I saw are red and green. In everyday tasks like driving, I have no problems seeing colors. Perhaps red looks different to someone else without abnormals color vision but I can still recognize it on a stop light.

  • As a colourblind adult, I found the language used to be offensive, and aggravating. "Adults SHOULD be able to see..." etc. Please don't make us seem subhuman. At least qualify the term 'adult' with "normal", or "colour-able". Please don't think of us as 'them'.

  • I can't believe i didn't see the Boat! i got every1 of these wrong except the example number 16 b4 the test but i'm pretty sure it doesn't count. I'm also a girl. it amazes me that people actually do see these numbers and shape. i soo curious to look at the world in their eyes. right now i just need to figure out what kind of Color blindness do i have

  • @HyperSniper41

    same here...T_T...

  • see i don't get it. i can distinquish colors perfectly...im not "color blind" but why can i not see these figures in the test plates?!?! im so frustrated with this cuz i have just recently enlisted in the marines and at the processing station where u go through eye, blood, hearing, and many other tests i failed the eye color portion..but im not color blind!! ugh.

  • 8% of boys and 0.5% of girls are color deficient - that is 1 out of 12 boys and 1 out of 250 girls. The gene for colorblindness is carried on the X chromosome. Girls must receive 2 defective X chomosomes to be color deficient.

  • only boys can be color blind ^^

  • shut up about ohhh i cant belive im colourblind fml... it hardly affects u at all, maybe u cant join like 3 jobs in the world.. gawd

  • so can i collect disability now?

  • @HyperSniper41 Why can't you. I joined and I failed this test miserably.

  • @HyperSniper41

Ahahahahaha XDDDDD You're so weird, how can anyone not see a green color? This is so hillarious.

  • This is dumb I couldn't see any of the pictures

  • @blake97562

This test is no joke. You probably have color-blindness but you don't know about it.

  • @RUL1S88 i am lol being color blind sucks

  • @blake97562

agreed, there is one color that you can't even imagine how it looks like.

  • This is very helpful -- thank you -- but the slide at 6:16 credits "James Calway". It should be James Galway.

  • @the8ctagon Thank you. You are correct. at slide 6:16 credits it should be James Galway and not James Calway. Unfortunately, I can not change the typo at this time. Thanks again for your post.

  • 1:56 isnt obviouse

  • @HeadLinesProductions I will look at it. Thanks.

  • @HeadLinesProductions I got it right away...but yes it's somewhat more difficult than the others

  • I passed! not really, i got everything right except the number 5

  • tumbs up if u did the part for adults and u arent an adult!!

  • tunbs up if u did the part for adults and u arent an adult!!

  • Even color deficient people should see something on a "couple" of the test plates.

  • Is it good or bad that I couldn't see any of it

  • @HyperSniper41 Thank you for taking the online color vision test.

  • i passed everything! yay!!

  • what does it mean when i didnt see just 2 circle and square picture

  • Im a kid, passed EVERYONE. awesome video

  • @loganixon me 2

  • i failed everyone in this video =( i should consult a dentist

  • i failed every one...

  • this was very easy lol

  • i wanna know wt the song is for flute?

    can u plz tell me

  • i have a weakness to gream

  • not trying to be mean or anything...but people who arnt colour blind should stop with thier sob storys. only 8% of the male population in colour blind and 0.4 of the females follow. stop with the bs. do you want to be colour blind? my dad is colour blind and trust me, its somthing you dont want. My appologies to who ever is legit colour blind. any one else enough bs.

  • HURAII i made it all ;D

  • you can see what it looks like in the short film "No Such Thing As Color"...just do a youtube search for it.

  • Woah..i got all right

  • I got them all correct but 5 and 10 were borderline. I barely made them out! What does that mean?

  • @ianrkav It might mean you have a very "mild" color vision deficiency? Go to colorvisiontesting and try their on-line color vision test. It is free. Good luck.

  • I wonder what the world really looks like...

  • There goes my dreams about becoming a Captain ;(

  • Dont worry if ur colourblind you can see camoflauge easier and there are some test where only colourblind people can see colour and normal visioned people cant =)

  • Thanks. Very valuable.

  • colourblindness has its advantages, some colourblind people such as myself can tell different shades of khaki where as people without colourblindness cant tell the difference.

also many colourblind people can sometimes see people who are dressed in camo. good for the army.

and last point, colourblind people can see better in the dark

  • @keightley2011 Do you know the difference between blindness to a colour and weakness? It appears that you have weakness to a colour rather than blindness.

  • @Myrtone yeah, i have a weakness to red

  • cool i only missed one the one that said 28 i thought it said 88 lol

  • boat,circle and square,circle and star,square and circle,circle and square,square

and circle, square and circle. that was the shapes and crap now heres the awesome challenging stuff BRING IT ONN!!! 42,28,5,10,6 i must have great vision i could see them all and i'm ten

  • 16 yo, 0 errors

    :)

  • I was doing good until I got to the numbers... I thought the last one was B. My friends all think I'm colour blind because I always mess up on shades of reds and pinks etc....

  • Passed with flying colors! .....no pun intended. XD

  • yeh, i was succecful too!

  • I easily identified all of them. Well, at least I know I'm definitely not color-blind.

  • Jesus is mighty one, worthy is his judgements. just and true is his mercy. For his kingdom comes soon. repent for his kingdom and our lord jesus christ

  • I just downloaded a program called WhatColor, and it's amazing. You just hold the pointer over a part of the screen and the program tells you what color what you're pointing at is. I really recommend it to everyone who's colorblind, really helps a lot!

  • i wish my colour deficiency was as simple as just red and green, but i can actually tell the difference between those two, i'm more shade blind (thats what i call it anyway i dont know the proper term) sometimes i mix up green and grey, and also red and browns, and blues and purples, sometimes blues and greens. im an artist aswell, and it cam be a pain sometimes when u cant tell if your colouring something black or dark purple. ggrrrr

  • @D0S81 ye i know what you mean, a lighter are darker type of colour can look like something completely different, if everything was as simple as just base colours it would make life so much more easier.

I just hope i can still join the air force with this :S

  • I can see them but only faintly, is this bad?

  • @tinger95 No, it is not bad.

  • Balls I failed every single test Ahhh screw it

  • @IsUrMomHom3

    sucks to be you, seriously...

  • I saw everything.

Even the shapes. All the shapes.

  • Oh man I only see 1 Object in the first test and couldn't recoginze any numbers at all :( I'm so fustrated right now cause I'm gonna do a driver license tomorrow. I hope I won't fail at this :( I really hope...

  • Coulda used some better music I almost fell asleep during my vision test

  • in the second plate i see 1 of each not 2 because i have a little type of daltonism

  • for the next couple of ones the answer is always square

  • I (not remotely colorblind btw) was just playing this video to listen to the music. It's gorgeous, and to me it sounds as if it might be intended to be empowering to those just coming out of the colorblind closet, so to speak. Is that what you were going for?

  • so in a lot of things i saw one shape much more clearly than the other. for example at 2:14 the blue star stuck out like a sore thumb but the green circle was verry faint but noticeable same with the green square and the blue circle right after. then at 2:43 the yellow circle stuck out prominently and the red square was very very faint. basically it seems as if yellows and blues stick out and green and reds are faint. does everyone see it that way????

  • As an artist, I channeled my red-green colorblindness as an art. I paint landscape using my own colors. I paint an object the way i see it. It has been my work's objective to let other people ( the normal ones) have a glimpse to my world. Thanks to my grade school art teacher for commending my "Pink Swan Lake", lol. I picked a color that represents my vision for the lake's water, and they said I picked the color pink. huh?

  • Yes. There is a circle in all six pediatric test plates. Everyone, even color deficient subjects, should see one circle in three of the six pediatric test plates.

  • Um...is there SUPPOSED to be a circle in every slide?!

  • I'm 17, so I guess somewhere in the middle. I could not for the life of me see any of the shapes besides the ones everyobe could see. For the numbers, I could sometimes make out just the corner of a number, but thats it. I've been taking ALOT of these tests online, so I guess its safe to say I'm colorblind. I also trued a friends computer, and that didn't work either.

  • I failed every single one. Should I care? Would a trip to the eye doctor do me any good? This isn't something that needs to be monitored or anything, is it?

  • @TommyChester42 You do not need a trip to the eye doctor or monitoring. If you are color deficient, the only thing it effects sometimes is your career choice i.e. some pilots are required to pass a color vision test.

  • @protandeutan well yes i agree but in my case has also a symptom of slight photo phobia not easy to be out in the day!!!

  • @TheVelerefonte To Velerefonte from protandeutan, If you are photophobic, you should see your eye doctor. Photopobia is normally not associated with a color vision deficiency, but with other more serious eye conditions.

  • @protandeutan yes, quite true. i wanted to become a pilot but i new i was color blind. if i did end up being a pilot, they said (canadian flight school), i cannot fly after dusk or sundown. so it would've been kind of a waste of money and training just to fly during daylight.

  • @protandeutan @protandeutan yes, quite true. i wanted to become a pilot but i new i was color blind. if i did end up being a pilot, they said (canadian flight school), i cannot fly after dusk or sundown. so it would've been kind of a waste of money and training just to fly during daylight.

  • the music background makes me feel like i am playing a playstation game

  • lol can't see a shit...definitely blind...

  • Well i just found out im color blind. Even tho i see all the colors. Its mostly red and green that i cant tell apart

  • its so depressing, finding out ur colorblind

  • @boringamer Mr. Paul Johnson posted this on colorvisiontesting under Frequently Asked Questions. " As a testament from one colorblind person to others, don't let the situation run your life...you can take this as a challenge and work to overcome it through communication, education, and dedication. And to my art teacher, "Thank you for challenging me." I have come a long way since Santa got his brown suit for Christmas in 1974!

    Sincerely, Paul Johnson, Gautier, Mississippi"

  • @boringamer Join the fucking club, i can't tell between brown and green.

  • @boringamer

Nah, it's proven that colorblindness exists at a such a high frequency that it appears to have an advantage.

  • i got one wrong oh well...jeff...

  • @UserNamei5 Very kind of you to say so, Thank you.

  • i always ace these tests and doctors and everything says im not colorblind, but theres one shade that people say is green that i see as grey :(, am i colorblind or is everyone i ask just colorblind lol

  • what's the background music?

  • @danda1994 The background music is "The Minstrel Boy" Thanks for asking

  • @protandeutan The background music is by James Galway "The Minstral Boys" I misspelled James Galway's name and the band on the ending credits to the video.

  • lol @ the colorblind folk.

  • tomorrow is my ned uni test (karachi, pakistan). i was damn upset if i would pass the exam or not. this vid proves m not a colour blind :D

  • i'm colorblind :(

  • Oviously kid cuz for adults it gets harder to see haha ur all proud of ur self

  • im only 10 and i did the adult test and i didn't fail

  • I can see shades of red. but if i see purple i'll think it is blue unless held up to something blue. Yellows and greens look the same. Dark greens look brown. I think i would be considered yellow-blue colorblind. however, i could not see a single image in those pictures besides the one everyone can see.

  • Comment removed

  • i passed every single one, but Im getting freaky vision... meaning I get dot flashes, and weird afterimages on any bright objects to the left of my vision... so even though ive got good eye sight and 100% colour vision... i get freaked out by vision doing really weird shit

  • Childrens Test Plates: Second one right (only one)

    Adults Test Plates: None right.

I have problems with all colors. I can see colors, but I can't tell shades and also confuse colors with others.

  • im 11 and i completed all of the 1st ones

  • 12 people are color blind

  • i`m blind

  • Wow. I failed every one. Go me. lol.

  • wow you put square and circle for almost every one before the adults one i was starting to be scared it was a screamer

  • Hmm, I thought I had normal vision, and I started getting a few of the numbers wrong. Who cares. :)

  • Odd question

What if I am capable of seeing both at the same time as in the case of three and eight and also in the case of the 70 and the 29

  • Cosmicalian: You are very observant and correct. The green dot will not affect the results of the test. Thanks.

  • At 3:50 there was alittle splog of green not in black like the rest... Just sayin'

  • WTFFFF Lol i failed, I'm red/green colourblind as tested, but this is ridiculous, i'm watching and @ 3:58 and haven't seen one yet!

  • well... i discovered yesterday that I am colorblind, although I see ALL COLORS. And I haven't passed a single test. Actually if I didn't take any test I would carry my life without knowing... I only have trouble distinguishing some greens from brown... I enforce the "some" part... for people not to be scared

  • @themaun and WestfallChicken: Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences.

  • @protandeutan I believe I have deuteranopia although I have no problems in the reds or yellows. Just some tones of green seem equal to me I believe. No big deal as I said before...

  • @themaun Thank you for your comment. It is likely that you are deuteranomaly, which is "less" severe. Deuteranomaly individuals have three photo cone pigments but one pigment is not quite right, where as, deuteranopia individuals have only two photo cone pigments. Thanks again.

  • @protandeutan That's what I meant... Thank you ;)

  • Haha, im 12 years old and I watched all children and adult pictures, and got 0 right.

I've known for a long time that im colorblind tough, it can be a pain sometimes when I have to find red or orange items on a lawn or on trees, but it doesn't do such a diffrence, its not like we see black and white.

  • ALL OF THEM CORECT YAY

  • im 12 and i got em all right is that extra good?

  • Weird... I see dead people (all the time)

  • Well, my vision is fine.

  • Those are some smoking babes in those pics!!

  • You are not color deficient. It was a picture of a sail boat.

  • I saw a sail boat not a boat, am I color deficient? :)

  • ur music sucks

  • Ehhh por tu culpa estoy viendo haber si acierto a una que otra respuesta, pero ni madres que veo nadaaaa. jajajaja me declaro oficialmente con daltonismo.

  • i saw all of them even the ones aimed at adults

  • I saw all of them but i had to squint and tilt my laptop alot to see it =p and if i hadnt been told what shapes they were before i would never have gotten them =s that doesnt mean im colourblind does it??

  • @scottishOwannaObe It is possible that you have a "mild" color vision deficiency. The next time you see your eye doctor, ask him to test your color vision.

  • i see boat

  • i failed miserably but i dont seem to get most colors wrong when they arent like they are in those pictures i usually only have trouble with identifying blue purple and blacks when mixed

  • Does it now mean i am Daltonist?

Am I sick or that kind?

Do I need go to a doctor?

  • @GheloPunk Sometimes color vision deficiencies are referred to as Daltonism. No, you are not sick. A color vision deficiency is not a sickness. It just means you see colors a little differently than most people.

  • Not Even One Wrong Woot

  • What did the first pediatric plate test for? 'Cause I couldn't see the boat. Also, I think I passed all of the red-green test plates, but failed the others.

  • @SRMkay All the plates (including the boat) only screen for protan/deutan (red/green) deficiencies. Keep in mind this does not mean a person who is classified as red/green color deficient can not see red or green but that certain colors (confusion colors) may seem the same to them- ie brown may look the same as green.

  • great video, but i think you forgot to put in plates for red-green colour blind people

  • @TheKrupkee Thank you for your comment. The plates do screen for red-green color vision deficiencies. There are no plates for congential blue-yellow deficiencies (tritan). Congenital tritan deficiencies are extremely rare. Thanks again.

  • i failed every one lol.

  • i really like the music

  • At first I was going to do the test, but then I ended up just listening to the music XD

  • i'm 10 and i got all the numbers right.

  • I got everything right yay!

  • i passed!!!!!i got everything right!
