Good Lord, the woman in this video is deluded. "Women are inclined towards purity"? Give me a break! I'm female, and I'm certainly not inclined towards celibacy. It's fucked-up views like this that contribute to female sexual dysfunction- b/c so many were taught that women "don't naturally like sex". It's a sickening viewpoint, to say the least.

In regards to sexual purity. Catholics believe that due to original sin, we all have a fallen nature. Our passions (for food, sex, shelter, etc) that God created in us have been disordered by an inner selfishness. So this impure desire obviously is already in us. However acting in obedience to that desire is like watering a weed and we become more enslaved to it. As such its much easier to remain a virgin than it is to have lost your virginity than it is to give it up once you've had it.

It could also be, I don't know, a preferential selection of organisms that have a desire for food and sex? A better definition of "sexual purity", I would think, would be sex between two people who don't have any such transmissible diseases.

Well said, angelakh. And, as one well known speaker on the subject once said about her marriage to a man who never had sex before -- a wonderful wedding night! No surprises, no mysterious diseases, no ex-lovers stalking you, no sad past stories of sexual impropriety, no sad past stories of abortions.
