  • Top comments are the demonstration of how deeply ignorant people can be. Open your mind and read something clever.

  • The paradoxes of security she observes are very true.

I just don't see why they are only women's issues.

They are really issues for everybody.

  • seriously people are fucking stupid. listen to what she is saying before calling her a fucking hippie or thinking that all she talks about is vaginas -__-

  • all she talked about was vaginas! lmao

  • i don't hate women, but in your case i'll defend man. look at all of the nessary wars man have been forced into, do to the laziness of the woman. this world is not disney world, nor will it ever be. the man has built this world bottom up with their bare hands because of the laziness of the woman. what greatness has woman done to equal the great man, get over your insecurities of man and learn how to have loving relationship with the man willing to slave the earth and die for you, or don't speak.

  • yah yah yah, all men are scum and all women are angels. you're the bitch that cause men to hate you. fuck off, i never treated any woman like a dog, and hearing your waste of breath is making you my only female enemy.

  • 56 people don't like Eve's lecture... If they had been the ones suffering that kind of violence, I wonder if they would dislike it. She's a voice to millions not only in the poorest most undeveloped places, but in our proud Western world who can't speak about the violence that happens to them. Being as talented, compassionate and determined as she is, she is certainly worth praising.

  • EVE ENSLER IS A GODESS!!!!! THE MEN FIND STRONG WOMEN SO INTIMATING AND I THING ITS HILARIOUS

  • @Marlenefoxschwartz

You are 100% right about this. Men are indeed intimidated by strong women. Due to their own insecurities. But many guys want women to lose the privelages they've fought for so that they can return to a quasi-slave role ... because it makes us feel all big and strong. These comments are so amusing...

  • @Marlenefoxschwartz men don`t find strong women intimidating, just manly and unatractive. Oh and you got really good spelling there, you must be one of those strong, achieving women I hear so much about.

  • @NudistInTheRye

This might be shocking news, but not all women see it as their main objective in life to appear attractive to all types of men.

And when I get called "manly" I personally take it as a compliment. Not because I do not value my femininity, but because those machismo losers, who try to insult a women that way, show that they need the admiration of weak, dumb, dependent women to feel manly. By calling me "manly" they confirm that I am not that kind of woman.

  • @NudistInTheRye Um...Don't project your insecurity about your small penis on everybody else...Your an ignorant little hillbilly quite obviously that is terrified of anything outside of your concept of normalcy...Go back to the trailor back hillbilly Joe....you and your 12 year old girlfriend dont belong here...

  • @Marlenefoxschwartz LOL, ur a nice example how women even fail when it comes to psychology. And besides, my girlfriend is most certainly not 12 years old, I don`t like my biatches having teeth n shit.

  • @NudistInTheRye I dont even wanna bicker with you anymore...at this point I just kinda pity you..your just a sad individual. I dont know whats wrong with you thats makes you take pleasure in hurting others(particularly women) but please go figure it out and stop doing what you can to pull others down to elevate yourself. YOu are transparent my friend and anyone with any kind of intellect wouldnt take someone like you seriously..Have a good day my love:)

  • @Marlenefoxschwartz You totally got me, but what can I do to change???

  • @Marlenefoxschwartz

nope Im a man... shes awesome! - you on the other hand are just as bad as those kind of men for generalizing...

  • I get angry listening to that succubus after 4.3 seconds.

  • @joesexy424, NudistInthe Rye(InHisMomsBasement), originalcraig(slistrapist), and all other haters that have offered there verbal diarrhea to this thread. I beseech Youtube to develop more intelligent heuristics so that shit does not always have to rise to the top.I am beyond sick of seeing the most idiotic, moronic, arrogant, and ignorant comments.I am a man trying to learn how to love not hate, but I would be happy to make men like you disappear by any means necessary.

  • @gserlenga You are the one getting personal without provocation, maybe you need a little more feminist reeducation, to get that kind of hatred towards your fellow men out of your system.

  • @NudistInTheRye when u make idiotic comments do you not expect a response?

  • @gserlenga I appreciate every response I get. But yours lacks substance.

  • @gserlenga bro....don't try and be an intellectual, because that shit's fucking lame, especially when you try to be a femenist intellectual...not cool brah

  • @NudistInTheRye I am guessing from your name that you are also uneducated and probably have not been outside your country.

  • @silvernail31 my name implies that i read catcher in the rye. so wtf?

  • i heart vaginas and Eve Ensler awsome roll model, wise woman.

  • lol fucking hippie

  • @Joesexy424 GO AND SUCK THE COCK OF YOUR MASTER NOW. GO ON , BE A GOOD BOY, SUCK ON IT GOOD

  • @hDMIratioNz lolwut

  • @Joesexy424 I don't think that you understand what this woman's work represents on cultural and historical sale, so I thought I would respond in language you could understand. I think that you are subconsciously rooted in culture of the last millennium, and that you should study a bit of history and go to see a psychologist. That's all. ( while I do some anger management.)

  • @hDMIratioNz i do understand, i just say things like that to get responses. sorry if i upset you. eve is a pretty positive person, and she does give an interesting perspective on women and the masculine culture. makes you give greater consideration to cultural givens that you never really noticed or picked up on.

  • @Joesexy424 you are obviously an uneducated simpleton that cant step outside the box

  • 11:41 omg i will remember that audio problem as the coolest thank you ever. It's so robotic and monotone, but warm in meaning.

  • Nice lecture but for the death thing its not true... we have now the opportnity to reactivate our immortal blue print. We are in a Dna upgrade. you think thats weird think again; )

    Love and Light

  • Women are our planet's primary resource. Without them, you wouldn't exist.

Remember that, before you open your ignorant mouth, you misogynistic fuck.

  • @tantoedge Hi, if you whant to know why the divine energy of creation is feminin.. watch (Sacred geometry the divine blue print of zero point part 2)its a exelent video and you would see on this video the real patern of creation of the univers, the 5 platonic solid with the sphere, the sphere is is feminin because in geometry the curve are feminin and line are masculin. Peace much love

  • @tantoedge Without men you wouldn`t be here either and without men you couldn`t use the pc you are typing on. Misandric fuck.

  • We are ALL human. All girls are WOMEN. All boys are MEN. All of us are HUMAN. But within those things, we are not all the same, as individual human beings. Hence the word INDIVIDUAL.

  • Why must people categorize such a diverse group of people into one damn statement? ALL girls do NOT like assholes. ALL girls do NOT like respectable men. ALL girls are NOT the same! Get over it! People need to realize that by generalizing they are hurting not only themselves but others. You're telling girls that we're all doomed to like assholes. NOT TRUE.

  • This talk has changed my life. Such clear wisdom. I now think about this practically every day; this idea of security, and the awful things people do to protect it.

  • It would be a mistake to think that we don't have real enemies, but I do agree with the sentiment that engaging other people proactively is better than getting power over them and keeping them 'out' with a fence. Or, as some rapper put it, 'so much love on the street, don't need no bodyguard.'

  • @PaRaMoReFREERAWR you need to look at yourself here, why do you think to talk about your body parts is sick.

  • if she was doing this for jesus we would call her a saint, but because she is doing this for women for the earth we call her woman, human, real, current, provocative, a disturbance to our patriarchal culture. thats why i love her and other women do too.

  • @Tadgh78: it's heartbreaking to see you talking so hateful about a woman who does nothing but stating the truth. you should really overthink the way you see the world... your hate doesn't make the world a bit better. can't you see that?

  • What I think it is a shame is that she is too vagina-centric... why do we have to reduce ourselves to our anatomy, sexuality or gender?

We should think as whole human beings, as a species, not as sexual organs or sex-centered ideologies. From total chauvinistic societies to feminist societies, I think it is time to wake up, stop going to the extremes and just find the balance.

  • @quelorepario I think you are overlooking the use of 'vagina' as symbolic of a set of philosophies. These ideas are contrasting to many of those in universal mainstream cultures, that are 'phallic' , meaning,-aggressive, insecure and exploitative . It is shame that all you heard was the word 'vagina', from this information rich and inspiring video. I think you are the one who is overly focused on the carnal, anatomic and lustful aspects of life.

  • @Queenishtar777 only a feminist like you would use freudian terms such as "phallic" societies plus finding transcendental metaphors in "vagina".

My previous post is actually tailored for people like you.

  • @quelorepario Sounds like those who come from a feminist psychodynamic tradition, really get your knickers in a twist! It amazes me in a world that has much to push against(rapists, child murderers dictators etc.) People still get angry with 'feminists'- a multifaceted group of women all against exploration of women, most who also care about the plights of men ,animals and the environment. It says volumes about the quality of your character who you choose as an enemy.

  • @Queenishtar777 definitely, you are a feminist AND a psychology major?

Very grandiloquent. It is a multifaceted group-minded group.

If you can't understand my first comment, you are definitely less open minded than you think you are.

    Check your schemas before replying.

  • Comment removed

  • @Queenishtar777 the funny thing is that you are perceiving me as chauvinist and aggressive, but all that is in your stereotyped mind that is filtering what you want to see.

I am simply saying that we shouldn't be gender-centered and be more human-centered. That is what feminists fail to see. Male/Female are childish debates. Women were stigmatized in the past? Yeah. But both sexes must understand in communion and grow up. Any radical posture either feminism or chauvinism are immature.

  • @quelorepario

I agree and think most others would to that the end goal would to be to have a world where people are treated more as humans than their sex/gender. How we achieve that goal is debatable. There seems to be more exploitation and abuse of woman in the world, especially when it comes to things like rape which are predominantly female issues. Its hard for people to talk about a "human-centered" society until there is more gender equality. And radical behavior helps to get discussion.

  • @mellamosean 99% agree.

1% disagreement on the gender equality, I think that it's a fallacy and part of the radical reaction of their historic oppression. In practice the "gender equality" is attempted by the masculinization of the females. I think that instead of pursuing gender equality we should try to discover gender complementation. We, men and women, are different. We both have our inherent strength and weaknesses. A harmonious relationship is healthier than a power struggle for dominance

  • @quelorepario

Yes, men and women have their differences, but to what degree? Its hard to put a finger on exactly which differences are biological, and which are shoved down our throats through culture and tradition. Think about the higher pay for men, and how men dominate positions of power in the world...is any of that necessary? I can't see how. Nobody is talking about a struggle for dominance, only a struggle away from male dominance.

  • @quelorepario I get that. Makes sense too.

  • @quelorepario

Because she's a woman and she connects to women. She wants to help women because she can. She can connect to us in a way she can't to men. She isn't degrading men or saying anything bad about them, so why does it matter that she's "too vagina-centric"? She wants to help women.

  • @lovingirl103 Wow, it is a 2 months old threadm, I had to find my original post to remember it. Yeah, I buy that argument. "Vagina Warriors", seriously? Yeah, it works , it is impacting in traditionally patriarchal/retrograde cultures to shake them up.

But I think it is sad that we still have to talk about women/sex to "connect" with men, and about vaginas to "connect" with women. I wish we could all connect by just being humans by true empathy, not conditioned by our sex.

  • @quelorepario

"I wish we could all connect by just being humans by true empathy, not conditioned by our sex."

I believe we will reach that point eventually, I feel it might be an inevitable result of cultural evolution. I don't think we'll be alive for it though...

  • @quelorepario She talks about men too, in one of her vids she said how men get worse attimes because they get looked down when they act nurturing like a girl, they are dopost to be strong and not cry.And how hard its for them. there is no such thing as too vagina-centric though xD

" I think it is time to wake up, stop going to the extremes and just find the balance." <--- Thats true though I dont like extremes much either because i find they put out more negative outward.

  • She has an Egyptian past.. you can just see it glowing from her. Powerful woman somehow.

  • Awesome!

  • I certainly don't think she should have been expelled but wearing a button like that is just not a good idea. I wouldn't wear a "I love my penis" button.

  • @fuse511 i would wear such a button ;]

  • @fuse511 Why not?

  • @crimsonregret0x0 because i gots better things to do.

  • Awful. Why the hell was she even invited to talk at one of these?

  • Also, ultimately, isnt the quest for other's safety that she explains ultimately a quest to make yourself safe, or a safer WORLD for YOU to live in?...

  • She criticizes the quest for security, and says that security is actually impossible. Whether that is in one definition of the word or antoher, she did say it.

Then she says that people who look for that are, among other things, shut down, numb, blank, etc etc.

But then, she makes it okay to look for said "security" when it is for someone else?! And that such security CAN in fact exist?

I'm at a loss. She's just spitting bullshit to me.

  • @videlsd Your interpretation stems from the fact that you did not understand what she said.

  • @Queenishtar777 Then enlighten me.

  • i'm reading this book right now

  • this is really powerful.

  • Such an Amazing soul, may we follow though in finding the freedom that collectively lead to a proactive world.

So much love for her and all women of this planet.

  • part of me is shocked about the hostile comments on here, and a part of me is not surprised. the derogatory comments on here are a PERFECT example of insecurity.

whats the matter? afraid of passionate people? afraid of the truth?

  • I love her, and the people who don't understand or like what she has to say are afraid of listing to the truth of the reality in the world that is why you leave such negative comments... Eve is a very strong women... Maybe compare yourself to yourself before you judge another person. who are we to judge? I would to have have the strength and will she has....

  • She is great!!

  • TRUE!

  • interesting...

  • she says shes not going to talk about vaginas, and then she blables about vaginas for 30 seconds.

  • A perfect example of an "educated idiot".

  • Comment removed

  • @AriesLudzik

    cool story bro.

  • She is rough around the edges; however, it takes a "rough around the edges" to get attention. Hello! Women are being abused, maned and killed all around the world in mass quantities! In India, China and Africa, they are in female genocide!! Wake up! infant girls cannot make it out of the womb!!!

  • @faithandivor It's ignorant of you to think that's not happening right in your backyard in america.

  • The one thing I find sad from all of this is that people can still take offense to the minor parts of her opinion. As a whole, I understand this woman to be a wonderful being. Why discredit her love of humanity? The statement she made about women being the primary source of the planet, to me, means that, they nurse the child and have a more intimate relationship with them. Let go of limits, boundaries, labels, borders, and just start to listen to her even if you disagree.

  • Comment removed

  • And this is not a statement to take a way your right to free speech, but why not love and live for the people in the world? Were becoming more and more detached from that idea, when loving is simply easier.

  • Excellent , let's be free

  • I like this talk, but I find the term "vagina warrior" really, REALLY funny.

  • She's a humanitarian...I admire her.. her heart is in the right place..

  • She's too one-sided, stylized, and dramatic to really take much substance from her lecture, at least on TED standards.

  • mynameisandycostello, I think she sounds stereotypical of a ted monologue.

  • Women, you control the future of humanity. By selecting who you choose to mate with, you are choosing what traits you would like to see in this world.

  • Oh, come on... Look, I'm all for equal rights for both sexes and the emancipation of women, but that does not mean that women are somehow superior to men. Women can be just as evil and oppressive as men can be. And women are not the only ones who are critical in their choice of mate. Most men will not have sex with all women irrespective of their traits. Read Matt Ridleys The Red Queen if you want to get a better idea of the evolution of sex and its implications for human beings.

  • all of what you say may be true, however, it is not as statically significant as whom they choose to mate with.

women (mostly) can choose who they reproduce with, either by selection or birth protection. therefore it follows that if women choose men that are smart or strong or both, there will be more of the selected trait in the next generation. it's natural selection.

  • Well yes, but the same can be said of men. While (as a rule) men are indeed generally more promiscuous than women, they too nowadays have access to birth control products, and they too can (and do) make a decision as to who they start a family with, and they can choose to either stick with that family or abandon it. The choice is not at all one-sided. I highly recommend Ridley's book, btw. It's a fascinating piece of evolutionary biology and psychology.

  • the choice is not one sided, but is skewed towards the woman and can be more skewed if women wish it.

  • Too bad there are plenty of female failures walking around too. Failures attract failures, and produce failure kids. It's not as if a woman with no intelligence, no character, no health, and no attractive body can just push a button and a man who does have all of those qualities will suddenly appear and knock her up.

What you're actually saying is that certain people shouldn't reproduce. Nice job, Hitler.

  • I was 100%with her untill she said that "women are the primary resuorce of the planet". Can anyone explain to me how a egg may possibly fertilize itself?

  • by having its nucleus replaced with the diploid nucleus of another cell. no genetic variation though.

  • I am cracking up by reading the comments here. What is it with some of you? Can't you even stand a woman who talks about womanhood? vagina??

One really wonders how you treat women around you??

  • One really wonders how you treat women around you??

    Yes/No/Maybe

  • This is debate, so resorting to personal insults only weakens your point. Even if you don't have a point.

  • @chicha1964 There is so much wrath against vagina ...

  • Eve Ensler: The reason why women should keep quiet.

  • what does that mean???

  • Wow, it is kind of a straight forward comment if you don't understand it I'm not going to explain it tard.

  • Comment removed

  • @ShadowCrashed81: the reason why idiots should be shunned.

  • @lovingirl103 Why?

  • A brilliant and moving. The idea that people have such horrible crimes done against them and against their womenhood. Then they turn this negativity around to serve and help others (and heal themselves) is a touching and moving thought. The last part about 1/3 women having a serious crime against them is shocking and as she states presents serious implications for the generations that come from this 1/3. I say more power to her! Very inspiring! Bless Eve Ensler and her work!

  • Comment removed

  • You comments seem so short sighted I just had to reply again. Look at the ratings beside your comment. People with your level of ignorance is just the stuff that she is trying to work against. MAYBE you need to replace the word "vagina" with "computers" or "flowers". Replace it with something more mundane so you can move beyond the term "vagina" and try and grasp the actual meaning and the depth to the content in which she is presenting. Good on her, the world needs more people like her.

  • If anyone tried the protest thing like that at the high school I went to (all boys), they'd bend you over and fuck you till they make a vagina.

Nazi-like fuckers, can't have a say in anything. I hate how institutions are too concerned with their reputation to care about basic rights, fair practice in voting (votes never counted), and actions that stem from the human condition.

  • Absolutely literally does not have a clue regarding what she is speaking about! She continuously looks at her notes not as a benchmark technique but as one who does not understand, know or comprehend what they are speaking about. Security was this her shot at improv. with notes? On a scale of 1 to 10 she is a -11, She is a clueless kid!

  • she killed a guy

  • is it possible that we will see her vagina?

  • Who on earth would want to!

  • since she talks about security I believe the best place to store things is in her vagina since no one will ever bother to go there. Come on there is a method to this.

  • If you disregard all the feminism, this video has a lot of valid concepts. That is the beauty of freedom of thought. You can filter out the concepts that don't make sense, and take in the concepts that are relevant. Nothing about the human race is a valuable resource though, since mankind is an imbalance in nature that gives almost nothing back to the earth that we inhabit. Striving for personal security is also nearly indifference, or selfishness. Identity is indeed ever-changing with growth.

  • There is also the ideal of a proper path to healing, as opposed to hiding from what ails you and letting it fester on a subconscious level, until you no longer realize your own emotional responses; or what is truly behind them. It's important to grieve loss, and let emotional pain run it's course to heal. Does anyone else out here see this as a valid point?

  • I do. I see too many people who have been abused, say they hate the abusers, never want to be like them, yet instead of working through it and learning how to let go, they fill themselves with hate and become what they fear/hate the most, abuse others (not guilty for what the abuser went through) and then justify the abuse by saying they are just fighting back. They delude themselves so they cant' see how ugly they are while foaming at the mouth at the prospect of hurting others.

  • I disagree. It is about being the figure of dominance from the past; People bully because they feel that the bully is the authority figure, they feel it will give them the most power, because as a child it had the most power over them.

The other reason, of course, is so they will never be in that situation again. Nobody bullies the bully, so the victim automatically thinks, when faced with the opportunity, that becoming the bully will prevent them from ever again becoming the victim.

  • Actually, to continue, I agree that they never actually try to find the root cause of the problem - They never try to find out WHY they had the problem. Not because they necessarily refuse to let go, though this is occasionally the cause; but because they don't believe they will find happiness any other way.

They think that slaking their thirst will be better for them than removing the thirst. The problem is, you can only ever slake it for so long.

  • Dominance is one issue. Some abused believe they can only be safe if they bully. I agree w/that. However, even after living like this for 15 years, saying how much better they are than the original bully, when they now do more damage and want entire groups of people wiped out because of the actions of a few who abused them, is taking it too far. To believe you are turning into an abuser because of the food you eat or what time you go to bed is totally askew with reason. (a real person)

  • "To believe you are turning into an abuser because of the food you eat or what time you go to bed is totally askew with reason. (a real person)"

    What do you mean specifically?

  • A person I know hates certain groups of people so badly because her abuser came from such group, that if she sees herself doing anything that the group does, she believes she's turning into her abuser (already abuses others now), such as eating healthy or going to bed earlier. Apparently that makes her an abuser in her mind. Also, she believes that a friend and I tried to murder her through suicide because we advised her on a diet for her IBS, because that's something only abusers do.

  • Has she tried to get help?

  • She was hospitalized (mental institution) after she attempted to hang herself, but when she came out, she was full of even more hatred, claiming we had tried to murder her and has tried her best to "break" my other friend, who was abused and in her crowd of abusers, but turned away from them. They claim they are only defending themselves and bullying isn't wrong in their case. My friend is working through his probs and making something of himself instead of spewing hate and abuse.

  • Comment removed

  • its not WRONG to wear a shirt that says "I love my vagina"...its just not necessary to say publicly. I mean obviously the implied rest of that sentence is "and you should love it too!", or "if you don't then bug off"....its just drawing attention to it...and full blown attention on the vagina is just sex. that t-shirt is an extension of the more-attention-equals-more-sex-equals-more-security philosophy that women live by. dont call me sexist, im not the one drawing attention to my vagina! lol

  • not only that, but honoring women is not equal to honoring life itself. because human beings (and female human beings who give life to other human beings) are not the giver of life itself. just human life, itself. its putting yourself in a box (humanity) and then putting yourself in an even smaller box (female)...how about honoring the system as a whole, and your part in it, as well as others? How about if im male, I'll honor my male role, your female role, and the rest of nature?

  • *Initiates slow clap, which culminates to a resounding roar"

  • lol thanks :)

  • you clearly have issues...

  • there's a chance you might find a transcribe on the TED talk site

  • According to man hating feminist extremists such as Eve, the best way to fight abuse and violence against women is put on a play which completely endorses the rape of a 13 year old child by a lesbian paedophile.

In the scene a the 13 year old victim recounts the experience and even herself states that it was "a good rape"

  • Hey, get on with the program. It's called double standards! ^_^

  • err last message was posted in response to meb025 but it ended up on its own instead of in a reply box under that persons message

  • So security is something that is false, making us insecure when we strive for it, but then she goes on to tell us what real security is and how to achieve it by using what seems to be her own personal morality. If we followed all these ideological things that lead to real security would we not find ourselves at the same place, insecure.

And what happened to equality? I will respect women and treat them with dignity but honoring them as our most precious resource... c'mon if a man said that...

  • Spoken like a true traveller. Very strong speech.

  • agreed to 96QuietBitterVirgins comment I mean

  • Make women safe and honor women- Real Talk

  • I think it is a great talk. Real security is being positive and doing what is in your heart. Insecurity is fear and it hurts you and the others around you. We must stand up for what we believe in.

  • This is a pretty week talk as far as TED goes. Just my opinion.

  • I hope somebody makes "The Penis Monologues."

  • I'm a sexually submissive male and I believe women are superior to men and I'm an American, and because of the way I am I get more shit from women than all of the dominant, abusive men, so, I don't know, I think women should try being nice to the nice people before they start complaining.

  • In what way to you believe women are superior to men?

  • Oh, no the "nice guy" syndrome. You're not a victim.

  • In principle I agree. Girls like assholes.

However in your case I wonder if the fact that you think women are superior to men makes it only normal that women (people?) would not respect you.

Girls who gravitate towards douchebags are beneath me and unworthy of my time. Girls who respect themselves enough to expect that they will be treated well, and who will treat me well in return even as I am nice to them? Different story.

Be good to yourself. Treat others well while expecting the same.

  • I think since girls view guys who treat them as assholes as above them, that guys who don't treat girls as assholes are viewed as beneath them, and the girl ends up treating a perfectly good intentioned individual like the assholes should be treated...

Robodouche, I have yet to find more than a few girls that respect themselves enough to expect to that they will be treated well...I have not given up hope though

  • Based on my personal experience, your view really matches mine. Women want and need to be dominated. They love that, and we men offer their needs.

  • The only women who "need" to be dominated are those who are of dependent personalities or trained to be so, which is mainly in patriarchal societies. All women who are strong in personality frighten the assholes or the men who "need" to dominate away or they get harassed or even raped in order or the "man" to be dominant because he can't stand a strong woman. That is MY personal experience. Many men never learn how to be a partner and a friend to their female partner. It's about power.

  • All of you are chauvinistic retards! girls don't gravitate towards assholes, and we don't have some sadistic desire to be treated badly. most guys ARE assholes...and very good at hiding it. sometimes we just don't know until it's too late. the very nature of your ignorant comments proves my point!

  • Since your response was full of insults it's easy to see that it is not meant to pursue the truth of the matter, but to illustrate your personal opinion and if it was "the truth" then you wouldn't have been offended and gotten defensive and needed to insult us to disprove our opinions and help to validate your own. Even if my previous comment was ignorant, it didn't help to prove an irrelevant point that guys are good at being assholes.

You are defensive about our opinions and that says alot.

  • agreed

  • This seems to very much reference Paulo Friere's concept of "the pedagogy of the oppressed".

  • This speech made some good points however, in my opinion almost all of what she says contradicts what she represents as being the meaning of her speech. I percieve she is saying people should not try to cling to a side, then to "demonstrate" or set an "example" she is simply clinging to the other side.
