  • Actually Neil Boortz AND fairtax . org backed way off the "full paycheck" shit. In fact, Boortz says now - you have to DONATE what you used to pay in taxes, ,to your employer. Your EMPLOYER gets to keep the money he used to pay you, that went to taxes.

See how fucking goofy FT is? Totally insane fucking bullshit. It's own leaders know it's bullshit

  • @SteamboatPolar,PowerPlantEngineer,TaxTheGovernment,MathTruthTax, and the 32 other aliases you use to spam with

Your intentionally forgetting to mention the fairtax removes the cost of current income taxes from its spending embedded in government purchases and government employees wages.

Your diatribe is selective and disingenuous.

  • DTV Fairtax doesnt remove SHIT moron, it's own leaders avoid hearings for 13 years now. No one is trying to pass this in Congress It's a farce, it's insane shit and it's own leaders KNOW it. SO it won't even have hearings under oath, much less pass. So it won't remove shit.

  • Once again, we all want to limit the power of the government. So let's force the government to charge the same price for services that can otherwise be provided by private industry. The FairTax plan is correct to charge the federal government the tax. Support the FairTax. Why would anyone prefer to keep the current system?

  • An average middle class person in the 15% income tax bracket with a $500/mo rent has to earn $647 in order to pay their income taxes and payroll taxes and have $500 left over to pay the rent. Under the FairTax, the same $500 rent plus the 23% Fair Tax amounts to $649- a $2 increase, oh no! But then the prebate shows and- oh boy! Not only does it refund the extra $2 in the rent, refunds the Fair Tax on groceries, gas, utilities and more. Beware the lies and half-truths, America needs the FairTax.

  • Examine the entire Fair Tax bill (HR 25) at:

    thomas . loc . gov / cgi-bin / query / z?c111:H.R.25:

    Just close all the gaps.

Or watch my Fair Tax play list. =)

  • PART 1> Piscivorus, there would be no way to calculate embedded income tax of every product sold in the U.S. and service industry fixed asset tools and variable supplies. It is an impractical task to accomplish, and there would be too much controversy with ball parking it. Some products have parts made over seas, and some are still made here. There are all kinds of income tax embedded into everything to varying degrees, and that is a mountain of data to extract; impossible in fact.

  • Why not? Every business and individual knows exactly what they've paid in taxes and the IRS knows exactly what every business and individual has paid in taxes so, the data is all there. It would not be impossible to compile that data for each and every product and service but, what's the point? Consumers pay all taxes anyway you cut it so, if you simply deduct from total IRS revenue the taxes people pay directly, the difference would be the taxes we pay through prices.

  • Okay, let's say it's possible to collect the data. Looking at another point of concern I have with FT is> When I buy a car for 40k with a 20% sales tax, for example, a total of 48k, what will it be worth when I drive off the lot? The same when it was 48k flat? Another thing I want to ask, you say, quote, "Consumers pay all the taxes anyway-" No, producers do as it cuts into their possible price equilibriums. Achieving optimum price equilibrium is a prime goal in any free market/mixed economy.

  • Retailers would not be able to deduct the sales tax off their merchandise, as in, if an item is $100, and the tax is 30% the price could not be adjusted to $70 base price. FT-ers don't understand that everything "up-chain" has built in this year income tax from the year before. This means that stores wouldn't be able to deduct off the top; they would have to add it on top for the first year; crashing the economy. Commodities Tax Now! Keep energy speculation in check. Grow America! Not OPEC theft

  • There is an exemption in the Fair Tax for products already produced. That will allow the Fair Tax to be phased in over time and avoid precisely what you're talking about.

  • PART 2> Piscivorus, do you know why the FED does not publish the M3 anymore? Because of the very thing I am pointing out here. BTW This fantasy that the IRS will go out of business is a LIE who do you think is going to oversee the tax collection of retailers?

  • The only point you've made was false and it's got nothing to do with why the Fed isn't publishing M3. According to the FRB's website ( federalreserve . gov / Releases / h6 / discm3 . htm ) "M3 does not appear to convey any additional information about economic activity that is not already embodied in M2...". There you go. The IRS is not a business either, it's a non-profit government agency. The Fair Tax bill can and does destroy it and replaces it with a new federal tax agency. Read the bill.

  • That is a FED PR piece. The global economy is too integrated today to separate from what is traded in FED Notes, and what is traded in other currencies. The estimations got too broad getting to the point where they couldn't even come close anymore. They made bad numbers up. They will not admit this, so they give an explanation, you believe. Why don't you tell me how M2 & M3 duplicated? BTW, the FED is a privet bank that the U.S. has only a supposed 20% holding in. Do your own math, and KNOW.

  • FairTax is a permanent stimulus! Our economy would skyrocket. Of course there are some whack-jobs that don't like it. The crazies and conspiracy theory nut jobs start coming out of the woodwork any time something new comes around. My wife is a CPA and corporate officer with 25 years of experience. I'll trust her over any YouTube whack-job any day! FairTax Now!

  • This man on the video knows it misleading to say this is a 23% sales tax, this is why he has trouble answering it. The fairtax is 30% tax-exclusive and that's the only way to figure it on product and services. Exclusive is figured $500+30%=$650 but the fairtax bill says its a tax-inclusive meaning they want you to see it like this $650-23%=$500. No matter how you look at it, its still a 30% increase!

State sales taxes are tax-exclusive, to compare a tax-inclusive to a sales tax is misleading

  • TBEau1

They are other things listed in the FairTax bill that are free but get taxed, Bartering services for one, also giving your son a company vehicle as a gift will also be taxed. Make fun all you want but I know who started the FairTax, 3 billionaires from Houston Texas and that's a fact!!!

  • Make fun of the rich wanting to use their resources to better the nation all you want but I know who needs the FairTax, 300,000,000 Americans and that's a fact!

And they weren't billionaires, they were millionaires. Not that facts get in the way of class hatred...

  • fairtaxhtown ,Go to Wikipedia search Americans For Fair Taxation (AFFT) also known as FairTaxorg. There you will see the names of the three Houston businessmen, that started it.

Google their names and you will see that they are billionaires.

Them are the Facts and no class hatred here, just glad they found a way for them to pay more taxes! LOL.

  • NoJunk, Bob McNair is the only one who google says is a billionaire. And so what, billionaries can't contribute money to research ways to tame the 60,000 page tax doe monster? Would you like homeless guys putting together a tax code?

Anyway, no one has to believe you or I. Research from half a dozen prestigious universities says the FairTax will do great things for our economy and will not shift the tax burden to honest folks.

  • Jim - Excellent speaking! Can I book you for the next presentation? :-) Wish I was there to help you. Glad it was such a success. -Paul Burgener

  • Gee, from what presidential candidate did we heard this from?

    All for it!

  • It's fully supported by Mike Huckabee. He says his first day in office, enacting the FairTax is his number one priority. It's been getting quite a bit of air time on Fox news recently. Unfortunately, it also brings the nutcases out of the woodwork.

  • EVERYONE Google search ( FAIR TAX BILL ,PLAN ENGLISH) and read and understand the BILL itself , because some don't want you to and is getting mad because I ask you to. That should tell you something. They wanting you to read the misleading stuff.

A cake may look good, but you don't know for sure until you go under the icing.

  • NAGGERNUTZ

Your RIGHT!! CPA's and tax attorneys would absolute love this bill to pass, they would be buried under with work!!

You haven't read the bill, BANKING IS TAXED read SEC. 801. DETERMINATION OF FINANCIAL INTERMEDIATION SERVICES AMOUNT Everyone Google search ( FAIR TAX BILL ,PLAN ENGLISH) and read it so you don't fall for this!!!! You being lied to!!!

  • That doesn't even apply to most people because most people have free checking accounts. The only time you'd have to pay the tax is when you receive a bank fee for anything, or if you have a safe deposit box. Read in that same section, you'll also note that interest rates are no longer taxed... so expect your mortgage interest to drop a percentage point or two.

  • Again, the only time you get taxed is whenever they charge you any type of service fee. Like any other type of consumption, if you pay money for it - you get charge a percentage of your purchase as a tax. But if you get something for free - what's 23% of zero? Because banks make their money by rolling their fees into an interest rate, this line just clarifies how tax is figured from an interest rate.

  • You're arguing with a mental case. He has multiple names that he uses to spam FairTax video's. He's been at this for over a year. Best to just ignore him and mark his comments as spam. The other names he uses are: MarkDouglasC, NoJunkAlowed, MakeMyPower, MyBookDeal, Mybookwork, CanteenKid, NavyBeer. Probably more by now though. He does it because he keeps getting blocked.

  • Are you saying that he's a Bruce Bartlett fanboy? Someone who thinks FairTax was invented by the church of Scientology... Haha!

  • No, he's just a bored nutcase. He tries to fool people by using multiple names. Only thing is, he's so stupid, you can tell because he says the exact same things under each name. He adds comment after comment trying to block out everybody else. He claims to know all about the FT, but just ask him specific questions and it'll be clear that his bread isn't done. He's big on conspiracy theories too. He thinks Neal Boortz and John Linder are working for the evil empire out to fleece the public.

  • No, it says "times the average daily deposit during the month". It says "free" and since there is no serves fee this is how "free" or one that pays no interest will be taxed! It explans it pretty clear.

  • "the excess (if any) of the basic interest rate (as defined in section 805) over the rate paid on such investment; and the amount of the investment or account."

It is strictly limited to interest deposits. For most people, this is only a few cents we're talking here. And its only on accounts that earn interest. Hardly breaks the bank eh?

So NoJunk... if you're so anti-Fairtax, what do you propose as a tax reform? Or do you just love the complicated current system as-is?

  • Sounds like a great idea -- but they forget to tell you, that Boortz himself admitted all workers FIRST have to take a 30 # cut in pay, off the top!!. THEN -- you have top pay the worlds HIGHEST sales tax on everything -- cancer surgery -- chemo -- your utiliity bill, your new house, your car insurance, your gasoline, EVERYTHING. It would be a frigging disaster = PLEASE PASS IT

  • Do you not realize that a good chunk of the price of everything you mentioned is already tax? The utility company has employees, and they have to pay corporate sales tax, plus social security, plus medicare for each employee... 22% of your utility bill is already just paying for those taxes. The difference with FairTax is that the government will send you a rebate to cover the cost of most of your basic purchases. The only people that will be heavily taxed is the ones who live like rock stars

  • Boortz himself didn't write the bill and a pay cut is not in there. Why didn't you mention keeping your paycheck free of federal withholding and the prebate? Or that used items are not taxed? You pay income tax on EVERYTHING you bring into the store now! Why should I trust you instead of economists?

Ladies and Gentlemen: I would like to say I oppose the MarkTax as described above. The FairTax would restore our economy and I support it. Go to FairTax (dot) org for the details.

  • Boortz was one person who wrote about the FairTax, yes. Why don't you go to the official website to see what is said about wages and prices? Boortz didn't say that zero price drops would happen if wages didn't go down either.

Your confusion over how far some people think prices will drop is no excuse for dismissing $22M of research and over 75 economic endorsements that say the FairTax solves the economic crisis. You think Americans want to spend $300B figuring out their taxes again next year?

  • @fairtaxhtown I know about the 22 million in "research" -- Ive read some of their "reseach" -- its total bs. Each "position paper" doesnt research ANYTHING at all. Nothing. It starts with the assumption FT is magic, and then goes on and on on wonderful it will be.

That's not research you moron. That's total bullshit. Not one dollar of the money went to "research" it went to a few guys to build a web site, and some public relation bullshit. There was no research -- at all. Go read it!

  • @MurphysTaxLaw Apparently you're a bad reader or you have an agenda to keep the IRS in our lives. If you go to FairTax . org / pagename=about_research you can see dozens of research papers from colleges and economic institutions.

But of course I should believe you just because you say so and swear a lot. Right...

  • @fairtaxhtown You stupid fuck -- Ive seen the "research" papers. They are nonsense. Got that you stupid fuck, NONSENSE.

WHy the fuck do you think corporation laugh at Fairtax -- and don't support it. Fairtax gets rid of 100% of their taxes -- including FICA, the highest tax by far. But they don't support Fairtax?

The reason they don't support Fairtax is -- its GOOFY shit you fucking moron. Its all bullshit. The research is total nonsense.

  • @ItchMyFoot Everyone believe Mr ItchyFoot because he says so and swears a lot. No one look at the dozens of research papers from the Beacon Hill Institute at Suffolk University for example. No one look at the 80 economists who signed on endorsement of the FairTax at FairTax. org.

    You have won Mr ItchyFoot.

  • @fairtaxhtown -- I contacted some of those "economist" Fairtax says support them --- they don't. I only found one who did support Fairtax, and he was paid by Fairtax, he works for the public relations firm.

THe "Reseach" ?? You gotta be kidding. The "research" is pure nonsense, it starts with the assumption Fairtax creates massive wealth, then just tells you how great all that wealth will be.

Guess who wrote the "research"? The public relations firm paid by Fairtax.

  • @fairtaxhtown you stupid fuck -- PLEASE pass your idiot fake "plan" whose own leaders know it total bullshit. Go the fuck ahead and pass it.

But you retards have run from hearings under oath about FT for 13 years. Guess what dumb fuck -- at some point, to pass it, you fucks have to face questions under oath.

QUestions such as -- how the FUCK do you expect city and state governments to pay MASSIVE taxes?

Your plan is bullshit you dumb ass, and your leaders know it.

  • @ItchMyFoot Why have you run from hearings under oath for 23.7 years Itchy Foot? See, anyone can make stuff up without having a source.

"Questions such as" are answered in the research section you refuse to acknowledge even exists. I'll give you an undeserved hint: The paper was published in Tax Notes.

  • @fairtaxhtown Sorry you retard, You fucks could have had hearings under oath anytime your "sponsors" in Congress wanted them. FOr 13 years your leaders have avoided that.

    Why?

I will tell you why you stupid fuck, because thy know their "plan" is total bullshit.

  • @ItchMyFoot Content in knowing you have no knowledge of how Congress works and cover it up by swearing continuously, I'll rest my case.

  • @fairtaxhtown you dumb fuck -- I wish you fucktards would have hearings under oath. You fucktards know Fairtax is bullshit. Your own leaders prove that by running from all hearings under oath for 13 years.

Go see Fairtax hoax at blogspot.

  • @fairtaxhtown wrong dumb ass --- you dont get your whole paycheck. Fairtax org said so. In fact, dumb fuck - they said anyone who thinks you keep your gross pay is an idiot. They claim they NEVER said you keep your whole paycheck.

    It's all bullshit dumb ass.

  • @MurphysTaxLaw It's another swearing MarkBot Spambot clone, just what the doctor ordered!

You keep your full paycheck free of federal withholding - as FairTax . org says.

  • People, beware of trolls that try to tear the FairTax down. My wife is a CPA and her brother is a tax attorney. They've both read the FairTax bill and they both agree that it is genuine and the key to economic growth in our country. I suggest reading both books and the actual bill to learn more about it. You can also go to the FairTax web site to learn more. Google it! :^)

  • nAGG -- have your wife read where Boortz admits FIRST everyone has to take a 30% cut in pay, THEN pay the world's highest sales tax on everything. Also, have her explain how the government can be its own biggest tax payer, If your wife ever learned the details of the lunatic fair tax, she would tell you, its a pile of crapola.

  • Well, at least you're back to using your original name again. I guess I caught you in another lie. Now everybody can see what you're up to. And if you don't stop, I'll tell everyone your dirty little secret. You know exactly what I'm talking about too. How's everything in Quincy?

  • First of all, you're wrong about the 30% cut in pay, as I mentioned above. Secondly, FairTax is meant to only change the way Govt collects it's revenue - it will collect the same amount of revenue the IRS does today. Thirdly, although the tax will be built into the price of everything we purchase, prices will be no different than they are today. The only difference is that we'll know exactly how much we paid in taxes, no more hidden taxes.

  • Mark/NoJunk: Did Boortz write HR 25? Didn't think so... Do you not understand the government pays taxes to itself now?

  • Don't Fall for it!!!

Everyone do yourself a favor and go read the Plan English version of the bill so you don't fall for this!!

The BOOK DOES NOT TELL THE WHOLE THING AND IS MISLEADING.

  • NO FAIRTAX.Most everyone fighting for it has never read the Bill, they just hear the sales pitch. Everyone needs to see the Bill and understand it so they don't fall for it, because everything's going to be taxed, RENT, FOOD, BANKING, EVEN FREE CHECKING, BABYSITTING, HEATH CARE, CAR+HOME INSURANCE, POWER+PNONE+CABLE BILLS, EVERY DOLLAR TOWARD GAS + HEATING OIL It even Taxes THE GOVERNMENTS- STATE & TOWN, EVEN GOV. EMPLOYEES, IT TAXES EVERYTHING, even your Childs LITTLE LEAGUE BALLGAME

  • You're right, under FairTax, everything purchased at consumer level is taxed. But that is not any different than it is today. But instead of it being taken out from your paycheck, it is taken at the point of purchase. But the key difference is that you are reimbursed for most of your purchases each month, unless you live like a rock star. Businesses no longer pay tax, encouraging them to expand business, thus creating more jobs in USA.

  • TBE apparently you didn't read the fine print. You don't take home your whole paycheck with Fairtax -- Boortz has admitted EVERYONE has to FIRST accept a 30% cut in pay. That's just the start. Learn the "details" of this farce, and find out why the leaders aren't trying to pass it. Its pure hogwash.

  • I've read the fine print, I've read the bill. I have no idea where you got your 30% cut in pay figure. Think about it, whether you're paid now a salary or an hourly wage, it is based off of a figure - and taxes are deducted from that. Your employer has that salary down in their records as to what you agreed to work for. They're not going to lower it due to a tax law. Instead they will be trilled they no longer have to pay corporate income taxes - they'll have extra cashflow too.

  • I read the bill and the books, as has my wife, who is a CPA and her brother, who is a tax attorney. They've both read the bill and they both love it. Banking is not taxed and you're very misinformed on the other things that you say are taxed. FairTax is strictly a consumption tax paid at the point of sale on new goods & services. Every person with a valid social security number receives a monthly prebate check to offset taxes on essential items up to the poverty level. You are very misinformed.
