That was the porsche shifting. The porsche has a standard gear box which means there is a time when there is no power to the wheels between shifts. The gtr has a twin clutch auto which means it shifts much faster than the porsche. How many porsche owners do you know who would let their car lose to a datsun unless they really did lose?

The first Skylines (r32, r33, r34) had sweet inline engines, and the new one is a VR38. Meaning it has a V. V's are quicker off the line, but they don't rev as high, and can't have a higher top speed. I think this was a move in the wrong direction for Nissan. GT3 is a N/A sportcar 3.6l 415hp at 7600rpm (max 8400 rpm): good on tracks!
TURBO is not a N/A car!!! it have 480 at 6800rpm (max 7300) and it is more a GT than a sportcar: its suspension settings are less stiif and sharp: good on roads!
and the 996 is like 2001-2005 on the turbo and like 99-05 on regular 911's. and the GT3 is a track car with wicked handling, but not good in a straight line from a roll, not enough HP and too much downforce.

Both cars are about even. I think it might be that the guy in the Porsche didn't do a good job at shifting. Or maybe he was not in the best gear to begin with. Still, with DCT transmission, the GTR has a better or more consistent launch. Both are an engineering marvel.
I think they made the GTR to where you can't add upgrades but obviously if you go and test drive one and compare these two this GTR is not stock to some extent. Well at least it sounds way stronger the when you first buy it. I know a guy who just bought one and stock or not it's still a beast!

1. The ZR-1 Nurburgring time lap was FAKE 3 videos on here proving it 2. the ACR is in a totally different league its a purpose built race car with its big engine , big spoiler and bumper canards and street legal racing tires 3. It wasn't the big block stopping it from being fast, it was the chassis, suspension body shape and materials.

And I agree, the porsche would not get beat that bad by a gt-r lots of people love the gtr, but if you've ever seen REAL tests of the GT-R, you know the ones that haven't been modded to over 550 HP just for the magazines, it ran 0-60 in 4.2 and quarter in 12.2 The corvette z06, viper, and porsche 911 GT2 beat it in that test. Guess they forgot to add 100 HP for the numbers. Go ahead race a porsche with 550 HP and see

The first Skylines (r32, r33, r34) had sweet inline engines, and the new one is a VR38. Meaning it has a V. V's are quicker off the line, but they don't rev as high, and can't have a higher top speed. I think this was a move in the wrong direction for Nissan. I would get their spec V, and pray I don't come across a 997 GT2.

Sorry to be so pedantic but having personally owned both a 996 and 997 it is definitely a 997.....firstly the wing mirror is that of a 997, the vents and dash top are 997....the sport chrono clock on top of dash are only available on the 997 and the rear lights are 997. The close view of the dash at 25 secs is that of the 997.

GT3 is a N/A sportcar 3.6l 415hp at 7600rpm (max 8400 rpm): good on tracks!
TURBO is not a N/A car!!! it have 480 at 6800rpm (max 7300) and it is more a GT than a sportcar: its suspension settings are less stiif and sharp: good on roads!

997 refers to the body style of the 911 turbo.
So the 997 is the 2007 to present 911's.
and the 996 is like 2001-2005 on the turbo and like 99-05 on regular 911's. and the GT3 is a track car with wicked handling, but not good in a straight line from a roll, not enough HP and too much downforce.

Both cars are about even. I think it might be that the guy in the Porsche didn't do a good job at shifting. Or maybe he was not in the best gear to begin with. Still, with DCT transmission, the GTR has a better or more consistent launch. Both are an engineering marvel.

I think they made the GTR to where you can't add upgrades but obviously if you go and test drive one and compare these two this GTR is not stock to some extent. Well at least it sounds way stronger the when you first buy it. I know a guy who just bought one and stock or not it's still a beast!

where are you getting that the o- 60 is over 4 seconds because they are usually doing it under 3 and a half.. and some faster since they are hand built and arent all exzctly the same but 3.6 is really the slowest so far but 4 no way

The ACR was not built, tuned or tested EVER on Nordschleife.
And yet its' first time there, on its 3rd lap EVER, it broke the world record.
It has not been there since, but with a better driver I am sure it could do even better.
