um. the vibration isnt because of the motors speed, its the semi circle weight at the end, as oppose to a full circle which wouldnt vibrate

Well, she called it a "motor thingy" which isn't exactly the scientific term for it, but neither is "semicircle weight". So give an 11 year old a break, k?

And, while I'm at it...

um. it IS about the speed of the motor as well. Imagine if the motor was spinning at 1rpm.  Would the bot move? Of course not.

It would probably go straight with two brushes or even one, but three gave it a lot more stability. The direction is determined by the heading of all three brushes.
