Not having seen the movie or the script I can't comment on this. However, the History Channel and the A & E channels have become very disappointing--shows like American Pickers, Ice Road Truckers, and "Hoarders" (ugh!) are trashy and appeal only to those who enjoy junk---leave that to the Bravo channel!

Most of what the History Channel airs--on a good day--is not quality programming. The best I have seen on TV is "The American Experience" on PBS but I suppose that isn't sleezy enough for the American masses to find it entertaining.

Not having seen the movie or the script I can't comment on this. However, the History Channel and the A & E channels have become very disappointing--shows like American Pickers, Ice Road Truckers, and "Hoarders" (ugh!) are trashy and appeal only to those who enjoy junk---leave that to the Bravo channel!

It's just a fucking movie, get over yourselves. Freedom of speech. If you hate the idea of watching it, then don't. It's someone's own interpretation of history, INTERPRETATION! That doesn't mean it's fact! I'm a film student and yes I have to agree it shouldn't be on The History Channel, but maybe Showtime or HBO? Either way, a filmmaker is put under pressure and people shouldn't take things literally, but as art!

Let's be honest here. Very little COMPLETE history of almost anything is not even possible in this country but there's a big difference between, selective history and just making shit up.
I saw a trailer for the film and they show Oswald in the book depository. Right there should tell you ALL you need to know. It's such BS, considering it was most likely those on the right that did him in.
You look in any history book and you will see HUGE gaps as to the WHY's of most historical events.

He stood up to the oil industry with the oil depletion allowance legislature, he had the Executive Orders to remove the military out of Vietnam, in 63, and had the nerve to want to dissolve the CIA and put it under the Military. I too am a critic of the Kennedys. I think nearly everything about them is exaggerated, largely due to Ted Sorenson, the glorifiier of Camelot.
On the other hand, barely a year ago, I was in the Senate Chamber while about the only two in there were Ted Kennedy and Bernie Sanders.

I do think that the people behind this should not be labeling this as a "right-wing" smear. Smears on the Kennedys come from all sources. It should just be called a smear and not historical fact. That is enough of an argument without getting political. Just some advise folks.

It became a perfect storm--lack of proper regulation (transparency), oversight (by government) and the ADDED pressure from the Democrats and liberals to give the poor loans and mortgages. It started in the 1990s with high limits on credit cards.

@yogeedogee Yes, yes it did start that long ago. Clinton did nothing when it was a minor, growing problem. Bush did nothing when the whole thing was spinning out of control and went to hell. They are both responsible. Also, please note, Republicans were in congress during Clinton and could have ALSO worked to stop it but didn't. People in government sure fucked up.
