kids should be limited to some hours of playing games, and Playstation being against it just proves my point cause all they want is cash, and btw you realy belive that kids of the age of 14,12,10,7 etc should be playing games at 2 in the morning? if you do then im the crazy one here and you are normal... Great thing S Korea did cause in this day and age parents cant actualy control there children if other countries actualy took there example this would be a better world

QoTD: whole thing is rediculous and kinda shows how the world in general is getting more and more litigious since when is it the governments job to raise peoples kids. The only message this really sends is that Korea's government doesn't believe it's people are good enough parents to get their kids off the computer and into bed without a government mandated curfew...

Wow that is bull, there is a pro starcraft 2 gamer at the age of 17 and just think, if you are say 15 and wanting to go pro, you will now struggle to get practice in. That is dumb, its like telling someone he can't play piano at a certain time.
Hmm after a couple of months "you have just been force feed" punch line will get pretty annoying, but hey do your thing force, pretty nice feature as well
I realize that S.Korea have a real problem with kids wasting their lives on the internet but it isn't like they haven't tried any other ways of solving the problem in the past and I don't see any issue with this law. What is more important School or gaming? Yes it does restrict peoples freedom but seriously, how many hours do you sleep at night? And how much more sleep does a kid need? In other words, the parents in Korea are usually just as addicted to the games as their children if not more, throwing away hours and money in online cafes.

Well this DLC in particular really has nothing to do with the main game and since they are a business and looking to make money, it makes sense to me.
Them waiting to announce it really doesn't accomplish anything, they would have created something else for people to buy even if they put this into the game, it's just the model of games these days and it seems fine.
lol that is funny it just shows even more on somethings, that the democrats just want to control more things in your life.. because to them we are to stupid to take care of our selves.. they think the governments need to tell you what you can and cant do... instead of slaping the parents in the face. awww communism at its finest.
I think you're right. It shouldn't be the game companies decision to force younger gamers to take breaks. Look at their parents and home lives. It should be the parents that decide if their children have played enough or not. It is the parents who are responsible for the children they have, we as a society should force them to take that responsibility more seriously.
This problem in South Korea is discriminatin against a particular hobby.
What if they banned people from playing a musical instrument or playing a sport for a certain amount of time?
They are both considered hobbies people do for fun although the positive effects of sports are more prevalent.
This is stretching it but what if a child is depressed and the only way he can cope with the world is through gaming and chatting with a friend? I'm sure this could lead to many unwanted negative effects
Not ok... I hate DLC!!! Put it all in the game and i will pay $20 more for it! I dont buy DLC anymore because of games like modern warfare where the DLC is basically worthless seeing if one person in the game doesnt have it you cant use it.
DLC is often planned in tandem with the main story arc of a game. The blunder here is a marketing / customer relations issue. They should have announce the DLC as being available 2 months after release. (Traditionally this about the sweet spot for when it makes the most sense to release addition pay content.) I have no problem with a company releasing product whenever they want. You have the right not to purchase. Personally I think it is a marketing blunder, but maybe I am wrong.
@garyalfred I generally agree, it also depends on what the DLC is. Obviously if it's cosmetic stuff that's offered to people who pre-ordered for example I have no problem with it. But beware if the released game feels lacking, which you can't really know until you have bought and played it. Then it becomes the annoying trap of almost feeling obligated to get the DLC offered to complete your play experience. If AC is a full game already I probably won't mind, despite the bad marketing timing.
@Force: regarding 16y night play limitation, it's obviously wrong, and that kind of rule should be in the hands of the parents.
Then, I don't live there, and I'm 33, so I don't care that much XD
But I do care about these DLC matters.
I agree that DLC can have a true added value to a game.
However this AC particular DLC is clearly an "empty" DLC: you'll get something like an activation key that unlocks content already provided with the game, and that is clearly (trying to) make more money. Sad!
I think the bed-time thing in Korea is awesome. This would at least filter the number of 12-year-old kids you find playing M rated games at night (less 12-year-old kids makes it a more enjoyable gaming environment for me).
Don't you hate playing games like Call of Duty and finding shitty little 12-year-olds who think they're great and try to talk smack?
There are exceptions that I am OK with, such as map packs for multiplayer games. And while I have never actually bought something like a "costume pack" I do actually appreciate the option of a pure cosmetic DLC offering for those who might want it. But something like that hardly qualifies as "content" IMO. But Force talks about DLC offered with game release. I kinda agree it looks a little shady, but does it affect gameplay? Or is it essentially a costume pack?
I remember in the earlier days of this console generation when I was excited about games offering DLC. In those days, promises of continual DLC meant more game replayability or longevity. In practice though, it got annoying REAL quick. Most games I'd beat and be done with and not worry at all about the DLC. Even when I'd buy extra content for like 5-10 bucks I'd feel like I was so done with the game already that I'd barely get my money's worth.
i think the age restriction is bullshit. I completely agree that excessive gaming is just the symptom of greater problem: negligent parenting. Of course I can't speak for all families, but I'm sure there's a reason why the kids are seeking an escape from their life. That being said, I don't think its healthy for anyone to game to much. Again that treating it the way they are is just addressing symptoms. Their same restless energy will find other, maybe more destructive ways to fill that time.
In China they also have those "internet addiction camps" - where mostly young guys end up if they use the internet too much. I got the impression from the documentary that it wasn't a voluntary thing either. Oh, mankind never stops surprising.
Dont really care if the dlc isnt crucial IE the muliplayer characters arnt essential to the game and dont effect the game its purely cosmetic. So i dnt giv a shit
Force, with all due respect, you live in the US and not Korea. If the entire gaming community is supporting this (Sony, Xbox etc.) there must be sufficient reason. You are not there and are not part of the culture. While I agree with you that this would have upset me as a child, if youth gaming is becoming a major hindrance to there development then it might be necessary (?).
But it could be worse, they could be Vietnamese gamers! (google it!)
It is a distinct possibility in the U.S. considering Congress' history of misinterpreting the Commerce Clause in the Constitution. If it did happen, I could see a huge uproar; however, the American populace by and large are eerily complacent about other, more urgent infringements on individual rights (e.g., Obamacare).
It is perfectly fine to create DLC for launch. Many developers spend more money and time to create that extra content and wouldn't have done so otherwise. Some company are ripping people off and others aren't. Which ones are which is hard to say.
I'm almost 18 now, but toss me back a couple years when I was tweaking on WoW for days at a time, I'd shit solid gold bricks if there was a age / time restriction on my world of warcraft playtime.
Its a good thing to have something to curb this exploitation of farmers for games like wow, but i would go after their "legal" prostituation first...i mean i was asked almost nightly "young girl for GI only $10"...thats really what they shoud fix 1st
So, learn a little about their way of life, mom & dad are working 247 & there is no daycare, the schools are sub standard at best, except in cities like soul or osan
First of all you know nothing of how korea is, they dont have pcs in their homes, they play at internet cafes and these cafes are exploiting 4&5 yr olds
i would murder ppl because for most of my life i have not gone to bed till like 4 am but still function in society like every one else. i just am fortunate and i function on like 4 hours of sleep.
16 is the age of gaming :P, when I was 16 I would be playing until 4 am or so every pre-holyday/weekend 14- would be nice tho because those guys are really not suppost to be doing this :P, Its been quite a while since I ever play past 2 a m now, and I'm 20, a day after I bought sc2 (2 months ago lol, reaaaally late I know) I played up to 7 A M, and I lost a fuckton of matches :P
to respond to that question i would probably riot outside with all the fellow nerds. there's one more freedom for the government to take from us i guess. o yeah and im sure they'll tax you for it too, but thats probably too much
@bmacmillan wrong. Human rights come before government. Government is a man-made creation - it is not metaphysical. Every human being has the right to life and property, whether their government realizes this fact or not.
However, even South Korea's constitution recognizes that this new law is NOT CONSTITUTIONAL. That means that this new law violates their own damn constitution!
It helps to get your facts straight. Read Article 13, section 2.
"(2) No restrictions may be imposed upon the political rights of any citizen, nor may any person be deprived of property rights by means of retroactive legislation."
According to this, any law such as the new anti-bedtime gaming law is not consitutional as it violates this section. Last time I checked, the games you purchased are your property. If it's online game, it's the property of the game company. Either way, it's not the property of the government
@bmacmillan On top of all of this, this law violates the rights - as outlined in their own constitution - of the parents to raise their own kids as they see fit. By telling them how to raise their kids, they can no longer exercise this right.
So this law violates the right to life and property. Everyone who loves freedom should disapprove of it. If you live in Korea, you should fight for your rights. Read your own constitution and fight for it. Otherwise, it's just a worthless piece of paper.
Unrelated to these topics but my wife loves this guys voice. Everytime she see's me watching his vids she asks me to turn it on the speakers instead of my headphones. On the topics at hand, DLC as same day if pretty rude and gaming bans are just as comical as clowns with fake smiles.
why do people keep saying he is 16? first of all he does not look anywhere near like 16 and 2nd of all he has a faince now unless he moved out of home at 12 and got a good job lol and got his own place then the dude is growing up FAST!
I think it's a sad state of affairs if the American people that are 12, 14, 17 or even 30 year's old don't even understand the basics of Property Rights, or what the Right to Life is. Just what the hell does of our governments teach our kids in school these days? It's obviously not free societies, even though America was the first in our planet's history.
I think it's scary for the future of America if @flPieman and others don't see a problem with laws like this. I blame public education.
Free DLC I'm fine with. When you have to pay for it though...
And that shutdown for the kids is stupid, what if they have friends in other time zones? Then they'll never be able to play with each other again. And it is the parents' fault if their kid play games all night.
I think its fine, im 14 and am happy stopping games at 9:00 if you are playing well past then (past 10:30) and under 16 your parents have some issues.
@flPieman and @Sashiems It is not fine. It is a violation of the parent's right to raise their kids as they see fit, and it is a violation of property rights.
I think it would be poor parenting if a child under the age of 16 was allowed to play video games way into the night on a school night. On all other days I don't see where the issue is. I remember playing Nintendo games for pretty much the entire night. Regardless I feel that this type of thing should not become a law and would not want it in my country. As for DLC, patches/updates are all good but buying new features within 3 months of release seems like a lame cash grab to me.
As long as they don't shutdown your whole internet, people will find ways to bypass these kind of shitty restrictions.
By the way that's cool for kids under 16, now they can go out doing nothing strolling in the streets, smoke weed, while ranting against this law. If their live were garbage (oir parents where not taking enough care) it will still be after that.
It is important to keep in mind the average Korean student goes to school for 15 hours a day; 7:30 am-10:30pm; so, think about it. Honestly I think the kids should get some time to play games especially with that much stress. As for the DLC... well, it's Capitalism. If you don't like it don't endorse the product; still a sleazebag move regardless.
Force, I just want to say that I think the "force feed" is awesome. Keep up the good work man! Your integration of multiple games and your extended amount of content is awesome for the gaming community. I subscribed originally as a SC2 fan, but your channel has helped me (and probably countless other gamers) enjoy the community that comes from a vast array of games. So thanks again! Keep owning!
It would be a good idea to discuss issues such as "No Gaming Past Bedtime" in podcasts, (like diablo III podcasts). I'm kind of frustrated to have just your opinion about it, and not the reasoning behind it.
@citiblocsMaster While I don't presume to speak for Force, if you read my arguments and go through them, page by page, you'll get the reasoning. I'm just going to take a wild guess and say he probably thinks similar. I've caught several hints in his let's plays and podcasts that he has a reasonable grasp on philosophy. Most people don't use certain words unless they've read Ayn Rand for example, and he used them. Again, just a guess.
DLC is BULSHIT! I believe that developers are rushing to market and delivering substandard content. DLC should be features down the road 6 months at least.
@RedNBlueAllOver7606 LOL good last comment. Food water shelter and a bike to power the generator that runs my pc. But I guess you are right. I don't really play console games any more so I don't think like that.
@MrMathicus They didn't just slap gamers in the face, they slapped human rights in the face. Everyone, including non-gamers, should find this appalling.
Mom, you bough me a PS3 and now I can't use the Internet connection features at night because some weirdos came up with the idea being Online at night is kinda dangerous!
@101ablerudeboy It is not fine. It is a violation of the parent's right to raise their kids as they see fit, and it is a violation of property rights.
Okay, Koreans can actually fight this legislation via their own constitution.
"Article 12 (2) No restrictions may be imposed upon the political rights of any citizen, nor may any person be deprived of property rights by means of retroactive legislation."
The game is their property (or even the developer's property if you believe that), so the government doesn't have a right to deprive them of using it - regardless if it's 2am or not. This is according to their damn constitution. Fight for it!
It is wrong to think that a software (PSN etc) have to do what a PARENT should have to do. I tryed to play on the evening (and night also) when I was a brat, but my parents always keep an eye on me and decide when it was enought. That's the way. Complaining that TV/Internet/Videogames show bad things to our children is wrong, because their role is not to educate the young ones. That's the parents role.
I don't think it's right to enforce a law like this, but it's still doable by the players. I didn't have online gaming when I was 16, but I still managed many sleepless nights thanks too Final Fantasy III and other great RPG's of the time. Also, seeing as this 'law' is very easy to get around, the time and money put into enforcing it could be much better spent on actual issues of importance.
@Kai0nTheMoon Let's not forget that most games are becoming online-only. This is a trend. There will be a day when most games fit this "only online" category, which will basically mean all games, not just multiplayer games.
I think it should be up to the parents to decide when the children can play. It shouldn't be up to some government body to decide stuff like that. If the place is civilized enough to have gaming being an issue, it should be civilized enough to actually allow the parents to parent and not do a state control thing.
I think as always gamers get looked upon as wasting time or not doing anything good. You won't hear kids getting banned for a few hours to read or to play music or football...
they cant stop kids 16 and under from playing games they just stop them from playing online. and yes i would have a problem with it but for one im 23so this wouldnt really effect me.
@fungas4201 It does affect you. One day you'll have kids, and you'll look back at all the awesome games you played when you were younger - the "classics" - and you'll probably want your kids to have the same fond memories of gaming at 2am as you do. Well, if this law sticks, your kids be denied that experience.
In fact, it's likely to get even worse by the time you have kids. They will likely raise the age by then to 21 or 25, and it will probably be restricted to 1 hour a day.
@egervari the government will only try and control us as much as we let them. if they try too much and we lash out then they will change their tune real quick, because they want to stay in control. government gradually adds more and more rules to our daily lives at such a slow pace that we never even notice it. but the problem is there is not much we can do about it, its in korea. we can say all we want and complain but in the end its them and their people. not us
@fungas4201 This is exactly what I've been trying to say for my 40+ posts on this one video. If you search my comments, I've said exactly what you've said here yesterday. I hate how you can't search or organize comments on youtube. All of the philosophical arguments I've given about rights, and how evil this new law is has been buried, so any new people that think this law is a good idea will never see the logical arguments about why it isn't, because it's buried :/
@fungas4201 The fact is, if let government violate your rights in an area - even a little - you are giving them permission to violate them further down the road. Don't ever accept the loss of freedoms so easily. The loss of freedoms is gradual, and before you know it, you won't have any left. Don't let them get away with evil, even if it doesn't affect you now, it likely will at some point.
@egervari Hell yes I agree were does it end if this happens the limit the when you can use your right to play then they limit what you can play and eventually you can't decide if you want to play they will
@1972demondodge Exactly. Right now, they think "a little government force is okay, if it saves lives." The problem is that a compromise between good and evil will always result in evil winning in the end sadly. By accepting the violation of their rights, they are giving the government permission to do it again... and again... and again. Just look at America with the Patriot Act... now there is assassination of US citizens and the TSA at airports. This thing about gaming is no different.
I dont see why there should be a problem of playing games online in the evening.
You can do this with your friends, even wit those you dont see that often because they life to far away. Therefore it has a social part.
And in general i dont see why politic should restrict your freetime activities in any such way. Am i not allowed to read all night or do other stuff that keeps me up? Isnt that a thing the parents should handle?
Im agree with the corean goverment, and i think it should be apply to all countries in the world. I mean, gaming is not the kind of healthly, educational, social entertainment, in fact it can turn into an issue to the kid's personallity. Just an example, i' ve heard the best gamer in the world saying something like "go no life mode"; i think thats a reality in all kind of gamer ages, something that should be avoided.
@Bastualh Sigh, I can't believe so many statists/collectivists on this forum. It's ridiculous.
Look, even if you think it's not healthy to play games at 2am, that doesn't mean you have a right to force parents and children to do this. Do you not see how this is a gross violation of the parent's rights to raise their kids? Even if the parents agree with the law, it is still a violation of their rights because they did not choose it volitionally.
@egervari Not forcing the kids or the parents into anything. If the parents want their 15 year old over weight child playing until 6 am that is fine. They can just register their fat ass kid under their mom's or dad's name and play that way past the curfew
@InfestedChris Just because you think they should focus on school and life does not mean you have the right to tell other parents how they should raise their kids. You don't have this right. You are, of course, free to make this decision for yourself. You even have the right to convince your friends and classmates that they should do the same using logic and reason. But you do not have the right to force them, nor should you get the government to force them on your behalf.
@egervari They're 16 and under. They are children still. They need to listen to mommy and daddy. Not play games and be stupid. I say after 16 or 18 do what ever the hell they want.
@InfestedChris What I'm saying is to leave the decision up to the parents. It is not the proper role of government to monitor when play video games. Government's role is to protect our rights to life, liberty and property. If your parents want to set rules in their house to not play video games after 11pm, that's fine. I am not arguing this point. I am simply saying that if the government imposes this on the parents, it is a violation of the PARENT'S RIGHTS. I'm not talking about the child.
@egervari I understand what your saying. It does have an age group. The parent can just use their sign in name or something to get past this little issue. They are not forced into anything.
@InfestedChris I don't care how the parent's can get around it - that's not the point. I am actually saying this law is evil, as are many other laws in Korea and every other government on this planet. It is objectively immoral to prevent parents from making their own choices on how best to raise their kids. If you or I can't force our neighbor's parents to raise their kids a specific, why should the government? They have no right to even pass such a law, let alone enforce it.
@egervari Think of it this way. Why do you think japan has a 1 child per house hold law? Sure they can have more but pay more in taxes. The law is set to keep the "unaware" from making a system collapse. Just because it is my right to own a gun. Should I go around shooting people because it is my right to have a gun? I guess what I am saying is, some parents need a law like this. They just are "unaware" of the situation. They need more control I would say.
@InfestedChris You have a Right To Life, which is the ability to self-sustain and self-actuate your own existence. All rights are corollaries from this right, such as the Right to Bear Arms. You must have this right, because if you have the right to self-sustain your own existence, then you have to have the right to defend your life from those that should use force to take your life away from you. This does not mean you have a right to murder as it does not follow from the right to life.
@InfestedChris Government's role is to protect your rights, such as the right to life and its corollaries (liberty, property, pursuit of happiness, to bear arms, etc.). Government's role is NOT to prevent you from playing video games at 2am, or from consuming poisonous mushrooms that grew in a forest near where you live, or any other such activity that may result in the loss of health. It is your and your parents decision to make choices that are in your own rational, long-term self-interest.
@InfestedChris When a government forces an individual to live a certain way, they are no longer "self-sustaining" their own existence - hence a violation of their rights. Any time the government or anyone else other than your parents make a decision for you, your rights are violated as you didn't do it on your own violation, but were forced.
@InfestedChris This is not to say that playing games at 2am is good for you - it may very well be immoral for you if it conflicts with your goals that would sustain and actuate your own life. But that is your responsibility to make the decision about what's best for you - or your parents. The government should not play any role at all in this capacity. The government's role is to protect your rights - and by forcing you to live a certain way, they are actually violating rather than protecting.

Personally I think it is a marketing blunder, but maybe I am wrong.
garyalfred 3 months ago
@garyalfred I generally agree, it also depends on what the DLC is. Obviously if it's cosmetic stuff that's offered to people who pre-ordered for example I have no problem with it. But beware if the released game feels lacking, which you can't really know until you have bought and played it. Then it becomes the annoying trap of almost feeling obligated to get the DLC offered to complete your play experience. If AC is a full game already I probably won't mind, despite the bad marketing timing.
MajinMojo 3 months ago
@Force: regarding 16y night play limitation, it's obviously wrong, and that kind of rule should be in the hands of the parents.
Then, I don't live there, and I'm 33, so I don't care that much XD
But I do care about these DLC matters.
I agree that DLC can have a true added value to a game.
However this AC particular DLC is clearly an "empty" DLC: you'll get something like an activation key that unlocks content already provided with the game, and that is clearly (trying to) make more money. Sad!
0Sybylle0 3 months ago
I think the bed-time thing in Korea is awesome. This would at least filter the number of 12-year-old kids you find playing M rated games at night (less 12-year-old kids makes it a more enjoyable gaming environment for me).
Don't you hate playing games like Call of Duty and finding shitty little 12-year-olds who think they're great and try to talk smack?
Shammikaze 3 months ago
There are exceptions that I am OK with, such as map packs for multiplayer games. And while I have never actually bought something like a "costume pack" I do actually appreciate the option of a pure cosmetic DLC offering for those who might want it. But something like that hardly qualifies as "content" IMO. But Force talks about DLC offered with game release. I kinda agree it looks a little shady, but does it affect gameplay? Or is it essentially a costume pack?
MajinMojo 3 months ago

Read Article 13, section 2.
egervari 3 months ago
Article 13, section 2 reads as follows:
"(2) No restrictions may be imposed upon the political rights of any citizen, nor may any person be deprived of property rights by means of retroactive legislation."
According to this, any law such as the new anti-bedtime gaming law is not consitutional as it violates this section. Last time I checked, the games you purchased are your property. If it's online game, it's the property of the game company. Either way, it's not the property of the government
egervari 3 months ago
@egervari I'm sure that section of the american constitution holds a lot of relevance in korea

@NewRoki Are you in an idiot? That is South Korean constitution. Google it before you write stuff so stupid.
egervari 3 months ago
@bmacmillan On top of all of this, this law violates the rights - as outlined in their own constitution - of the parents to raise their own kids as they see fit. By telling them how to raise their kids, they can no longer exercise this right.
So this law violates the right to life and property. Everyone who loves freedom should disapprove of it. If you live in Korea, you should fight for your rights. Read your own constitution and fight for it. Otherwise, it's just a worthless piece of paper.

@flPieman and @Sashiems It is not fine. It is a violation of the parent's right to raise their kids as they see fit, and it is a violation of property rights.
egervari 3 months ago
I think it would be poor parenting if a child under the age of 16 was allowed to play video games way into the night on a school night. On all other days I don't see where the issue is. I remember playing Nintendo games for pretty much the entire night. Regardless I feel that this type of thing should not become a law and would not want it in my country. As for DLC, patches/updates are all good but buying new features within 3 months of release seems like a lame cash grab to me.
Sashiems 3 months ago
As long as they don't shutdown your whole internet, people will find ways to bypass these kind of shitty restrictions.
By the way that's cool for kids under 16, now they can go out doing nothing strolling in the streets, smoke weed, while ranting against this law. If their live were garbage (oir parents where not taking enough care) it will still be after that.

Most people don't use certain words unless they've read Ayn Rand for example, and he used them. Again, just a guess.

@macq1 I agree. They sometimes even ship DLC on disk then charge you for it.
Jdub121686 3 months ago
@macq1 The easiest way to convince companies to not release subpar and shitty dlc is to simply:
a) write them a letter
b) create a facebook page, boycotting the game for the shitty dlc
c) give bad reviews on various sites people frequent to discourage purchases
d) refuse to buy the dlc
e) refuse to buy the game if you know shitty dlc is coming out for it before you even buy the game
f) support awesome games like skyrim instead
Eventually, they'll get the message and will figure out other ways

Kai0nTheMoon 3 months ago

fungas4201 3 months ago
@fungas4201 It does affect you. One day you'll have kids, and you'll look back at all the awesome games you played when you were younger - the "classics" - and you'll probably want your kids to have the same fond memories of gaming at 2am as you do. Well, if this law sticks, your kids be denied that experience.
In fact, it's likely to get even worse by the time you have kids. They will likely raise the age by then to 21 or 25, and it will probably be restricted to 1 hour a day.
egervari 3 months ago
@egervari the government will only try and control us as much as we let them. if they try too much and we lash out then they will change their tune real quick, because they want to stay in control. government gradually adds more and more rules to our daily lives at such a slow pace that we never even notice it. but the problem is there is not much we can do about it, its in korea. we can say all we want and complain but in the end its them and their people. not us

@fungas4201 This is exactly what I've been trying to say for my 40+ posts on this one video. If you search my comments, I've said exactly what you've said here yesterday. I hate how you can't search or organize comments on youtube. All of the philosophical arguments I've given about rights, and how evil this new law is has been buried, so any new people that think this law is a good idea will never see the logical arguments about why it isn't, because it's buried :/
egervari 3 months ago
@fungas4201 The fact is, if let government violate your rights in an area - even a little - you are giving them permission to violate them further down the road. Don't ever accept the loss of freedoms so easily. The loss of freedoms is gradual, and before you know it, you won't have any left. Don't let them get away with evil, even if it doesn't affect you now, it likely will at some point.

Bastualh 3 months ago
@Bastualh Sigh, I can't believe so many statists/collectivists on this forum. It's ridiculous.
Look, even if you think it's not healthy to play games at 2am, that doesn't mean you have a right to force parents and children to do this. Do you not see how this is a gross violation of the parent's rights to raise their kids? Even if the parents agree with the law, it is still a violation of their rights because they did not choose it volitionally.
egervari 3 months ago
@egervari Not forcing the kids or the parents into anything. If the parents want their 15 year old over weight child playing until 6 am that is fine. They can just register their fat ass kid under their mom's or dad's name and play that way past the curfew

InfestedChris 3 months ago
@InfestedChris Just because you think they should focus on school and life does not mean you have the right to tell other parents how they should raise their kids. You don't have this right. You are, of course, free to make this decision for yourself. You even have the right to convince your friends and classmates that they should do the same using logic and reason. But you do not have the right to force them, nor should you get the government to force them on your behalf.
egervari 3 months ago
@egervari They're 16 and under. They are children still. They need to listen to mommy and daddy. Not play games and be stupid. I say after 16 or 18 do what ever the hell they want.
InfestedChris 3 months ago
