hate to say it but we got a hiniker on our plow truck and we deal with somewhat the same problem. but i love that thing dont get me wrong. hasnt let us down after 12 years of service
thats horse shit i have a 1997 and i have had two different plows on it the only way you cant is if it is the sport addition due to the fact that the front bumper sticks out a little too much other than that you can!!!!
@georgepal2002 that sucks,you can put a plow on anything you want i recommend 2500 or up cause its more heavy-duty but its up to you theres a plow for anything!
we have western uni-mounts and never have problems with them they always hook up sure u have to use a 2x4 to line the mount holes up but everything else after that is easy never had a problem with the connections always right on i hook them up myself no problem
Better yet, get a HINIKER. I got me the "C" plow for backdragging. WOW, what a time saver. I'm 59 yrs old and can connect and disconect it in 30 SECONDS....done it for 2 years now everytime, its a self align.
man boss's are getting to be a big name, but westerns are the original every plow guy has to have one. i also hate the guys who tihkb they are realy imortant and have like a little piece of shit chevy pickup with a yellow meyers plow on it.
I went though the same headache with my fisher minute mount 1 system. POS. I've never owned a western but I now own a Boss Smart HItch. BEST SYSTEM THERE IS. It hydraulicly puts itself on. Good Luck
Ya suppost to put the plow on before it snows. btw the new ultra mount is the easiest mounting system in the world. It replaced this uni mount set up shown here.
i hate the unimounts they always take 4ever to install get an ultra mount

no use a 2x4 piece of lumber i have no prob hooking up my 9ft unimount all alone i hook it up in about 5 mins.
