@ZebrasAreAwesome011 Yeah... I know what you mean... At our school we have to try and stay on, but if both your stirrups are gone and you haven't got enough control, you just fall... It causes less damage to yourself and the horse... You'd think all these people would know.......... lol
the girl at 0:57 wud not let gravity get the best of her. 4 a while and most ppl are 2pointing b4 the fences and therefor jumping for their horses they can do it all by themselves i used to have the same problem
First girl with the rearing horse : good job leaning forward and NOT pulling back ! Second girl : yahhhh. Leaning back and pulling on a rearing horse ? Not smart.
people need to let go of their reins when they fall! i dont think wed like it very much if we had metal in our mouth and having it yanked on by all of our weight...
2:31 I think the rider wanted to go over the jump instead of the horse (x I liked how the rider made it over the jump, but the horse didn't. Isn't it usually opposite? Haha.
haha my horse always bucks bareback he is broken properly but sometimes he just gets excited and bucks like crazy they are big bucks proper bucks I've had him for nearly six months now and he has never gotten me off
when a horse bucks ik its to fast to almost even think what to do but pull your reins and KEEP THEIR HEAD UP, or try to turn them in a TIGHT circle cause look at it this way a horse CAN NOT buck in a TIGHT circle or with their head up! i promis this will help you! and another thing i noticed is their not sitting far enough in their saddle that would help to so you dont fly over top of the horse!
When you sit on the back of a horse you are setting your self up for an acident. THINGS HAPPEN sometimes its the riders fault sometimes yes im going to say it the horses. If the horse decides it dosnt want you on is back you aren't goin to stay on. But stuff happens. I have fallen off count less times now. I get back on and ride again. No one should nag on the riders in this video. It was just one bad riding day out of many
Awks how everybody are judging these people by a 2 year old video. It's called Mishaps for a reason. Yeah, they made mistakes. People do that? Get over it. Just because you saw 30 seconds of a riders bad moment doesn't give you a right to judge them like that.
These people need to learn to let go of the reins. Hanging onto the horse's face for dear life with all of your body weight only makes them freak out more. That was one of the first things my trainer taught me; how to fall. It happens to everyone, why not learn how to do it right? People say "You're going to lose control of your horse if you let go"...MORON, even if you were hanging onto the reins, you would have to let them go eventually to not rip your arm off...why not do it right away??
sometimes when they buck its excitement when they do something good or well, like when my friends horse, Cash, gets his feed he sometimes kicks the wall
@Kkyyrruu r u joking they fell off EVERYONE falls off u dont need to size down at all most of the videos were refuses, bucking and other mishaps it happenes to all of us they didnt look out of control i ride a 16.3hh TB ex racer i fall off him somethimes i dont need to size down we have bonded over the years jumping 1.10m to 1.20m courses and great on cross country he is hard to pull up but i would NEVER give up on him just cus of that fault u ovbs kno NOTHING about horses do u ?
@Kkyyrruu exactly.. a bit of a jump from the horse and there gone.. now i ride breakers. and this just looks ridicules.. and i saw in this someone wearing spurs. come on.. you cannot ride if your wearing one of them!!
You need to hold your ground or bail. You ~Cannot~ Hang on the side of the saddle, or wrench on the reins, or anything like that. It will damage your horse. Falling hurts but its better then hurting your steed.
@renjifkdme853 Okay yeah I don't normally comment on these videos condemning riders but... wow... I wouldn't consider myself a super advanced rider, but when I'm jumping I keep my damn heels down. Seriously, the fall at 2:45 was not surprising. When your toes go down, say good bye to any balance you might have had.
@wood8883 total and complete fail. i know i have had my fair share of falls in life, god knows. Most of my falls were usually for stupid reasons, like idk trying to gallop a pony bareback and backwards(yup stupid i know) and also because i put myself in positions to have accidents (6yrs of exercise riding and starting thorobreds). i hope all the riders shown in this vid used the footage that was available as a useful guide of what they were doing wrong and learned. We all have accidents!
A horse only does what it's told or allowed. A horse may spook at somthing but thts just cuz u allowed it to spook. A horse may not listen to what ur asking it to do because it was allowed to get away with it
Really GOOD video. I used to ride 3 point hunt seat, and I don't see that being exhibited as it was taught to me. The FIRST thing every rider should be taught, is HOW TO FALL. Some of these, you could tell, had been taught that. But not all. Please learn HOW, if you are such a superb rider that you don't "need" to learn, then you are not the rider you think you are, and will never be the one you could be. If your instructor hasn't heard of this exercise, get a new instructor.
@xjustxliv that horse is trained for movies. It says it but you can also tell because the girl/guy riding him/her hangs onto the reins to keep him from getting up.
I still think that sometimes it is the horses fault. like when I am trotting with this mare, and suddenly she sees a spot of dirt on the wall of arena and starts galloping and bucking, I didn't fall but was seriously shaken. now you tell me that it was my fault that the horse decided to be afraid of a dirt spot. sometimes it is the horses fault, cause like people they think and decide if they want to look at that spot or run around like crazy. :D
@agatev i know because i have a horse...i use to feel that way to but as she/he gets older she/he will realize that its just dirt.. it's neither of your faults don't ever blame the horse. They like to have fun..they don't know when they and pissen you off and um..thats it hope she/he gets better!
It seems that old kids and young teenagers are better with the horses....younger kids don't know howto do punishment so the horses learn bad habits... adults and some later teens use too muchpunishment because a horse doesn't do what they want it too D: I feel bad for selling my horse @_@
@lb2550 not really... 'younger' teenagers and 'older' kids just have no idea how to handle a horse when it doesn't do what it should. They don't know how to correct it.
@sssomethingshady Oh....Tell me this though, i`m twleve and i just sold my horse because i knew over the summer i wasn`t going to excersize it enough, Did i do the right thing by selling ti to an older person who would ride it way more then i would?
@lb2550 Uh, yeah? Exercise is extremely important for a horse. It gives the horse something to learn, something to do and keep busy with, and keeps it in shape. It's probably a good thing you sold it if you weren't riding the horse enough.
@sssomethingshady Good. because i used to ride it three to 6 times a week (i either didn't have enough time or i was riding the stable owners big black throughbred) It was fun riding a small 14 hand, then switching up to a big black energetic 16.4 hand throughbred <3
@23751 - Not all the time. Remember horses have a mind of their own, and they can make quick actions at any time. Luckily, my horse is a Cob, and is rather thick. xD So I trust him a lot. I've had a few mishaps with him, though. Let's just say he doesn't like donkeys. :/
when ahorse rares up never ever pull back on the rains thats what happens when you do she pulled that horse over not the horse that was the riders fault
@chloemaxfield That was a stunt horse & rider -not a real crash. That was a great stunt "fall" by the horse, but the rider released the reins too soon and the poor horse wacked his head on the ground. That might've hurt. Next time the horse is asked to fall, he may not thanks to that little rider error.
As a rider, I understand falling off is part of the game. Sometimes, we can't help it. They could see something as simple as a jacket out of the corner of their eye, jump, and off you come. I ride English, our saddles are smooth, and our pants are smooth...Sometimes we just slip. I wish for velco a lot to just stick myself in the seat. :P
Where do I start, many of the riders didn't have crash helmets…if you think it's girly try thinking what you'll feel like in a wheel chair, dribbling. Everyone who rides horses will fall off sometime, take that as a guaranteed event, but you increase that tenfold when you're doing things that you haven't train the horse to do…or yourself. Many of these horse showed all the body signs of either pain or fear…learn the signs!
i was trained then when your horse starts bucking pull there head up to stop them cause they cant buck as well with their head up and once u fall off yes let go
it seems to me (and keep in mind i ride English, Western, and even Aussie) that people seem to fall just a bit easier outta english saddles, just an observation, dont go all rabid animal on me :P
Okay, people fall off...me included! But I don't understand how some of these people fell off! Especially when the horse is cantering in a straight line!
@sarah15512 stupid riders??? everyone falls off many times in their equestrian life, ive been battered broken and bumped scratched you name it, but I LOVE HORSES and i get straight back on XD
why is everyone saying these people can't jump/ride!?!?! they fell off! they had a bad day! it happens to everyone! i bet most of you people who are saying they can't ride, can't ride yourselves! you can't tell by one 5 second clip if they can ride or not!
Speriamo si rompano l'osso del collo questi deficienti patentati!!I cavalli non sono giocattoli per saltare gli ostacoli!!!Li saltino gli handicappati dei fantini gli ostacoli!Teste di cazzo!
this is sick! im not gonna say it was always the rider. i ride, and i've made my share of mistakes that made my ridin horse look at me like- *you've been riding since u were 4 , whats this about?*, but its not ALWAYS us. horses trip, slip, stumble, screw up jumps too. when your horse looses its footing and panicks (which was probably the case in a few of these), WE CANT STAY ON. to TAPE this!?!? one / lady that flew over the jumps, the woman who got her leg caught under her horse? BROKEN BONES
The people who says its all the riders fault are STUPID AND IMMATURE! Yes we make some mistakes but we dont make then fall on purpose. We love our horses SO SHUT UP!
Lollllll at the horse that tries to jump the fence....

the clip at 2:44 it looked like the horse wanted the rider to get off... or the horse realized that he couldn't make it so he lied down
DarrellMMMH 6 months ago
the rider in the second clip looked like she just dismounted and them decided to fall, but it looked like it hurt!!

at 1:11 if she had have went into 2-point she might have not fell off :)
horsezrcool1 6 months ago
Where do I start, many of the riders didn't have crash helmets…if you think it's girly try thinking what you'll feel like in a wheel chair, dribbling. Everyone who rides horses will fall off sometime, take that as a guaranteed event, but you increase that tenfold when you're doing things that you haven't train the horse to do…or yourself. Many of these horse showed all the body signs of either pain or fear…learn the signs!

it seems to me (and keep in mind i ride English, Western, and even Aussie) that people seem to fall just a bit easier outta english saddles, just an observation, dont go all rabid animal on me :P
BitterSweetMisery300 7 months ago
im pretty sure the grey horse that jumped, kicked out and landed on its side was trained to do that for movies
ArabKate 7 months ago
@ArabKate if you can READ. you see it sais 'This is a performed and trained horse fall for movies.' -.-'

Okay, people fall off...me included! But I don't understand how some of these people fell off! Especially when the horse is cantering in a straight line!

why is everyone saying these people can't jump/ride!?!?! they fell off! they had a bad day! it happens to everyone! i bet most of you people who are saying they can't ride, can't ride yourselves! you can't tell by one 5 second clip if they can ride or not!

I'd just like to say that horses drag their riders to try to get away from them to keep from hurting them. They know no better.

Why are there always so many bloody armchair riders offering opinions on why it went wrong and advice as to how to do it correctly?
People stating "I've been riding for years and she shouldv'e done this"blah blah blah....
cirqueduchat08 7 months ago
this is sick! im not gonna say it was always the rider. i ride, and i've made my share of mistakes that made my ridin horse look at me like- *you've been riding since u were 4 , whats this about?*, but its not ALWAYS us. horses trip, slip, stumble, screw up jumps too. when your horse looses its footing and panicks (which was probably the case in a few of these), WE CANT STAY ON. to TAPE this!?!? one / lady that flew over the jumps, the woman who got her leg caught under her horse? BROKEN BONES

guys it happens u dont knw the whole story behind any of these clips in this vid
HorsesandPonies101 7 months ago
The people who says its all the riders fault are STUPID AND IMMATURE! Yes we make some mistakes but we dont make then fall on purpose. We love our horses SO SHUT UP!
HauntingMidnight 7 months ago
If these riders would actually keep their horses in frame and collected, this would not be happening.
