July 27, 1986, I was 16. By far, this was the best live show I have ever seen! I miss Freddie so much, every time I hear a Queen song :(

Poor John Deacon. I don't think he was ever able to get over the shock and sadness of Freddie's death. He said he "retired" from music, but I think it was just because he couldn't bear to go on doing it without Freddie. Supposedly he barely speaks to Roger and Brian anymore. I think the memories hurt him too much. It's sad. He and Freddie were extremely close.

I agree, I love the way Mary stands by his side as always. I hate to hear the negative press about her stealing away Freddie's riches, etc. He loved her, she loved him, who cares about anything else? It's likely they will dub Freddie's voice in, and have him lip sync. That's what I think they should do as no one can imitate Freddie's vocals properly. They were too unique. Again, I think if Cohen sticks to acting on this movie and doesn't try to imitate Freddie's singing voice then he might surprise people with his performance.
