Ok here's what it does.. Games that depend on weapon switching using the D-pad (gears of war) you can make the cross of the d pad bigger to stop those embarrassing moments when you pull out a smoke grenade instead of your shotgun. Then twisting it makes a handy Circular pad for combo moves in tekken, street fighter and mortal kombat

It's a nice looking controller but I don't think the d pad is very much improved. It's elevated but not stabilized. Even with the + the entire d-pad still moves around as though it's one moving piece. It's still analogue and a D-pad needs buttons. Trust me save your money this isn't worth it.

the transforming dpad allows for better precision, or you can use the original if you really want to.

and im pretty sure the spinning requires some actual twisting motion to turn it. it should be strong enough so it doesnt randomly spin around

Finally, a descent D-Pad, for the guys that prefer the non glossy look for the x-360 slim the 4gb kinect pack is not glossy.... but it does not look very cool. And for the dick who asked why would we pay money for a turning d.pad, it is very simple, for fighting games it is a lot easier to play with a cross shaped pad than a one piece pad. But the again I can't help but wonder why didn't they released this model in the 1st place.

I got this controller in the mail last week right when it came out. The d-pad is a lot better compared to the older controllers. It is easier yet and more satisfying to press. Adjusting it doesn't really make a huge difference imo but the action in the pad has definitely been improved. I noticed a huge difference and increase of speed when typing messages letter by letter on xbox.

@ProjectSoul55 other than everyone elses suggestions there is a matte 360 with a 250 Gb HDD. the limited edition halo reach 360 s. its a silver matte with halo markings on it. its an acid wash so the markings dont look too bad. 2 controllers the game and 250 gigs. the only downside is its actual limited production and their about 400 bucks a pop. i love mine though.

@MehCast They have made a matte case, but it's for the 4GB consoles. I believe you might be able to ask to swap cases, or simply buy a new case if you need for them. Another option is if you decide you need to buy a new Xbox360, you could ask the sales manager if you could have a matte case in place of the gloss case, and simply take the 250GB hard drive from the gloss case and insert it into the matte case. I doubt if they would, but some stores might.

I personally think its pretty awesome, it gives you the ability to easily change what style your D-pad will be between games, and for 65 bucks to have a controller that lets you simply twist the d-pad and completely alter your playing style is actually a damn good deal which I admit is strange for Microsoft being that they over price a lot.
