  • 408.

  • That's 143 or 101 for people with Sky.

  • Whoever can't afford Sky should just watch a live online stream. That way Sky gets ripped off and everyone else wins!

  • Poor Ted :(

  • Yes! Jake Humphrey is and will be the best F1 presenter!

  • Comment removed

  • Jake Humphrey just GETS what it's all about so well. Looking forward to the BBC's coverage next year.

  • Ben edwards and David coulthard vs David croft and Martin brundel

  • I could make F1 Better than sky. Honest.

  • BBC,BBC,BBC,BBC is the home of F1

  • Buy sky you poor bastards

  • FUCK SKY !!!

  • im pissed off that i only get to see 10 races. People who can't afford sky or want something better than it are getting shitted on.

  • Half of all races. That is all.

  • This video went viral on Antigua and Barbuda

  • BBC F1 will get viewers than SKY! Fact.

  • do you like real sex or do you want porno?

  • Can't we all just be thankful that Jonathan Legard is gone forever?

  • or you could see him trying to sell some brass jewlerry secretly, just press 1 alot!

  • Tap 1 to see brundell roar like a dinosaur

  • I'm glad BBC picked Jake Humphrey over Steve Rider before 2009, he's a much better presenter and a nice guy. Sky will have to do a lot to match the BBC coverage but I can't see that happening especially after the BBC F1 was voted the best global coverage of this year for F1. BBC will still have the Forum which is great and they'll make their live races head and shoulders better than Sky.

  • The Martin Brundle and David Coulthard commentary pairing was the best part of F1, also Croft/Davidson on 5L was great, all gone! WTF.

  • "Sky’s experience in broadcasting was instrumental in Ecclestone choosing them over Channel Four, despite them offering the same money for the rights." - Obviously Bernie Ecclestone doesnt think about F1 fans, surely he should know that not everyone can afford sky and the majoirty of people have Channel 4. When i watch F1 i like to watch the funny humor filmed by simple cameras, not with this 3D high technology shit that sky are doing.

  • lets just remind ourselves how many f1 races martin brundle has won.........none. dont even get me started on david croft. all that guy taks about is how shit ferrari are and how michael schumacher is a cheat. ted kravitz is even worse and; ferrari, mclaren, red bull, williams, these are just some of the teams that anthony davidson has not driven for. i dont even know any of the others but complete and utter loss of respect for everyone who transferred to sky. go bbc!!

  • Utter BS by Brundle at the start. BBC offered him £300k and SKY offered him £450k. That's what the decision was based on. I don't believe a word he says. I don't dislike him because he turned down the BBC offer, but I hate people like him as they make up some ridiculous story as to why they chose to switch when in fact they could come out and just say SKY offered me a better contract financially.

  • @LolageArmy To be fair, F1 is his life. If there was one person in the paddock that you trust to tell you anything about Formula 1 it would be Brundle; naturaully he just followed where he could continue what he loved doing.

I don't despise him for leaving the BBC and going to Sky because as soon as the deal was announced it was in all probability just going to be inevitable; it's a shame but it's the Beebs fault for fucking up the contract and David Cameron's fault for cosying up with Murdoch.

  • Really liked the chat between those guys. What I don't like is that F1 is moving to SKY. Quite disappointed to be honest that the BBC no proper intention of keeping it. Anyways thats the way it is now, got to live with it.

  • Long live the BBC

  • Don't really get the hate for Brundle Humphreys and all, other than the bitter 'I hate SKY' routine that is beginning to get a bit old. If you're against it, have a decent F1-related reason than just jumping on the bandwagon

I enjoyed the banter between Ryder, Brundle, and Humphreys anyway, Brundle is always very fair and objective when he is analysing situations, for example his view in this video. Shame to lose him to sky, but life moves on. And who knows, maybe this sky stuff will turn out ok

  • I hate Steve Rider.

  • Steve Ryder is such a wanker

  • fuck sky, fuck sky, fuck sky!

  • Steve Rider can fuck off. What an unfunny prick.

  • Goodness knows why people are backing up Jake Humphrey here. The man has no passion for F1 and it's just a stepping stone for him until he does the olympic coverage in 2012. There is no sincerity in his broadcasting and he seems to have resorted to taking the mickey out of Eddie Jordan (who lets not forget had his own F1 team and is worth a small fortune).

I don't blame Brundle for leaving - the BBC arent serious about covering sport unless it's tennis or snooker or indoor bowls.

  • Fuck Martin Brundle!

  • Martin Brundle is a cunt, was an average driver and he is an annoying fuck, I'm glad he has left bbc and fucked off to those pricks at SKY

  • who is commentating with dc then next year?????

if brundle is 'defecting' to sky

  • @TheRockinpneumonia probably Ben Edwards

  • The BBC is free...yeah apart from the £150 a year licence fee.

  • @sutton513 its cheaper than sky. For a sky subscription you pay £360 a year, £30 a month and thats just for sky sports alone.

  • @AbzPoo I'd be the first person to want F1 on the BBC like it has been for the past few years. But I think the Sky coverage will be far superior, what with the dedicated channel etc. We will find out in March I Guess.

  • This is a bit odd isnt it ? Rider and Brundle didnt give a very good acount of themselves. Whereas Jake did. Not sure if this is just the kinda banter that goes on in F1 circles when the cameras are usually off, but Rider is very clearly a disgruntled ex BBC staff member, and it sounds like Brundle didnt exactly leave on the best terms either.

Skys coverage next year will probably be vert detailed, but I dont know if I really want to listen to Steve Rider after seeing what kind of a knob he is

  • @spikeirl you won't be listening to Rider all the time. It's almost certain that Simon Lazenby anchoring. Rider is going to be historical F1 programming rather than the live coverage.

Jake is an ambitious BBC man and doesn't care about F1 anymore than any other sport. He didn't go to Japan last year in order to present the Commonwealth games which was about advancing his career and securing the Olympics job. Brundle doesn't have that option so I wouldn't blame him if he's pissed off at them!

  • Steve Rider comes across as bitter and unlikable - Jake Humphreys is so much better. Brundle should be ashamed at jumping ship. I wonder how much Sky offered him? I take it Kravitz is going to Sky too?

    KEEP F1 on the BBC!!

  • Sad the lack of respect shown to the people at the BBC like Jake, Eddie, DC and Ted, poor show from the Bitter mr Rider with an i... poor show dear boy, more grace would have gone down well

  • Haha, Jake is a legend!

  • is there anywhere to watch this whole event?

  • 10 races on the BBC with Jake and DC will still be far better than anything Sky Blundle Sports could come up with!

  • The BBC isn't really 'free' though is it? I mean that 'TV License' thing has a cost attached.... it's just a bit weird that you need that for Sky as well.......

  • 972 is another BBC 1!

  • Best weekend of my life :D

  • There's probably something far more dodgier on channel 972

  • martin has changed he is so horrible now

  • Its alright Martin and Steve you can laugh all you want now, but i give it 2 years before you both are flogging second hand jewellery

  • @MRCazza71290

i am sorry but what does flogging second hand jewellery means ?

    ps i love bbc f1

  • @03iamhopeless Steve Rider made the joke that him and Mark Blundell would be selling second hand jewellery on their legends 24 channel. Mark Blundell is well known in formula one circles as a bit of a cockney geeza , hence the comment.

  • @dave41184 lol thanks a lot for this info :) or else i would have been lost. :)

  • JUDAS!

  • Thumbs up if you think Mark Blundell would be good at flogging second hand jewelley

  • @dave41184 i am sorry but what does flogging second hand jewellery means ?

    ps i love bbc f1
