I got one of these living pretty close to me in a small little forest area i found his house. And I love going out and watching him. At nights i can see the white of his belly. Hes kinda bigger then that one he is huge. Im from oklahoma and i was wondering what kind of owl the one i've been watching might be. Its pretty amazing these animals are so crazy.

@hamidious Most animals bred in captivity live a good 10 years more depending on the original life span. For owls its 15-20 years longer. Some pet owls even fly around and still come back to their owners and like to be with them. As far as an opinion goes, some owls WOULD like to be pets =\

owls used for hunting, you can hunt small animals with the owl, in germany you need a Hunter licencse,a falconer licence and much more to keep this wild animal,and for a beginner this animal is already too big, this is no pet, only for people with concentrated passion and not for these who thing that is cute..

@hamidious Most animals bred in captivity live a good 10 years more depending on the original life span. For owls its 15-20 years longer. Some pet owls even fly around and still come back to their owners and like to be with them. As far as an opinion goes, some owls WOULD like to be pets =\

owls used for hunting, you can hunt small animals with the owl, in germany you need a Hunter licencse,a falconer licence and much more to keep this wild animal,and for a beginner this animal is already too big, this is no pet, only for people with concentrated passion and not for these who thing that is cute..
