hes not cheeting,,,,if tryied that on my game and there isint any cheats for this,,,all you do is face left at the stage then you jump and go left wen in the air,,,you should be flying backwards,,,your not realy invincibleits just a glitch,,,lets say that you got shot by a bullet bill from the left side whille going backwards,,you'll die,,your front side is your weakness in the game..this is proff that he didnt cheat

Yes, he can. He runs backwards because you have a larger hit box when you're turned around. This would be why he doesn't die when it looks like he should.

Tool assisted runs aren't really speed runs... The only reason you beat it so fast is because you could jump nearly twice as high, run alot faster, and recieve NO damage from enemies.

He didn't practice this for an extremely long amount of time. It's TAS'ed, which means "Tool-Assisted Speedrun". He played it very slow so he could do everything at the perfect time.
