but now my games and other things are 100% lagless, i would easily choose this over a mac.

it's actually a cheap laptop. can't play games and it's slow if you try to even play ZUMA. My 12yo has this model and i'm not impressed at all with it. Dell XPS17 3D is what i use and my wife has the Macbook pro17

Hey, I'm hoping to get one of these, but the one I seen was a A500-1GL with the same specs but with an Nvidia GT 330M instead. So I was wondering is the i3 processor fast? And I've heard these have really good hard drive protection. Is this true?

yes, it's a dual core, but the i3's cores can actually handle 2 processes at a time. 2x2= 4 cores, 2 virtual.
