  • great song, and cool vid. good job!

  • What a great song to sit under a tree on a sunny summer day and light up a doob and just space out to man!

  • I've mutilated this song at work I don't know how many times. Now I understand where Ween gleans thier inspiration from.

  • manuelworker,

I sincerely apologize for posting obscenities on your beautiful tribute to Seals & Crofts. But some of these punks who post negative stuff just invite a written beatdown (in lieu the physical one their fathers never gave them). Please delete my last post at your convenience. Thanks.

  • Reminds me of meeting my wife-to-be on the Pacific island of Saipan in early 1974. I had just arrived as a Peace Corps volunteer trainee when I first saw her. A stunning island beauty who stole my heart away in a place of eternal summer breezes. We're still married and I still sing this song to her.

  • I guess that's the in thing among the younger crowd. If you don't like what somebody says, accuse them of being gay. In my day, you would have gotten your sissy ass kicked, punk, and went running to your mamma. Sorry motherf**ker...

  • rofl

    great song btw

    Ted's guilty pleasure song :p

I dont understand though, why is it 'guilty'?

  • Brings back memories!

  • perfect song to drive on California's 101 fwy

  • i like this song may i say

  • wow this song is very good I'm only 17 and I love this kind of music WHOO! lol xD

  • Winter freeze freezes my ass off...

  • This song was during a time when a kiss meant something.

  • Well, life as the human mind understands it, is a double-edged sword.

To explain your statement from it's roots:

The way the mind works is by collecting information and knowing 'truths' by what happens most often in specific situations. A good feeling is received from new information or pleasurable experiences. When the mind doesn't explain a kiss before it happens, more new information is received and the mind rewards the body.

  • The populous is developing into a relaxed environment in which more individuals are becoming understanding of events and situations. With technology advancing, we see the world from more perspectives and are able to cope with new things easier. Though, the mind builds a base information on which it develops sanity, or an ability to keep stable in a social environment.

  • Um, have you been smoking too much pot?

  • I've smoked pot once in my life. I don't care for it.

I guess it's difficult for the populous to acknowledge others as intelligent.

I think a troll would suite me best if I were to be categorized for my actions on the internet.

  • A troll? Narcissist more like ("what's that lovely, so insightful sound? "Oh wow it's my voice")

  • Then if that is so, which I agree to an extent, shouldn't everyone be?

  • You should read "The Virtue of Selfishness" by Ayn Rand; it's extremely good.

  • omg! i know, self-loved much,

  • im stoned right now lol

  • no I bet you have Im a christian I dont need pot ;)

  • Yes, praise Astrology....

  • yup yup ^_^

  • If you really believe in your religion, you should watch The Naked Truth on google video. It should help you make your final decision for the time being.

  • Yeah, like karl marx said, "religion is the opium of the people".

  • That base isn't always correct, though. So as someone who has understood it from a different experience and understanding, it is hard for them to be comfortable with certain new things.

Sorry for the long reply. I just want people to understand. I am unfortunately one of the few throughout my travels.

  • good old summer days and to even better summer nights!!! seems like a life time ago

  • Remember the slow dances, long walks talking and holding hands, and the drive-in? Puppy love was the best!!

  • simply a beautifull song, desde méxico saludos

  • Great tune, it's super relaxed and so reminiscent of what was yesterday, I can't get enough!

  • me too. sad and nostalgic, but in a good way. :)

  • Someone who was very special to me in my younger years said this song reminded him of a time many summers ago. A time when memories were made that would stay with us all forever.

  • This song makes me long for summer in November...

  • Not much between this and the isley version.

    Both fantastic.

  • spoken like someone used to sand in his face

  • but at least i can tell which version is better.

  • i love the Isleys...but you like your comment serve no good purpose.

  • I love this song so much. Such a romantic and peaceful song.

  • "SAMPLED BY THE ROULETTE REGIME"

  • Great!

  • Awesome song and great backgrounds for the song.

  • for some reason it makes me content. it makes me happy

  • I feel so contrite when i listen to this song... I remember about so much love my aunt have for me since I was a little baby... She liked to sing to me this music... =o)Beautiful song!

  • Good song, but it always reminds me of that annoying Time Life Singers and Songwriters Collection ad.

  • Same here, I see the Soft Rock collection from Time Life almost every night on tv, introduced by and Austrailian man and a European man. They say the hits are hard to find, which is true but if you have satellite; the timeless hits are playing all the time. You are not likely to hear the good stuff on today's garbage stations.

  • good song, feels like a really good buzz on my porch in the summer time

  • wow talk about nostalgia

  • this is my aunts favorite song. she died 4th of July weekend this year of Huningtons. Whenever i hear this song i think of the good days when i go to my uncles and aunts house when we have a family get together. i miss her so much :(

  • everytime i hear this song i feel like running to the beach...

  • Same year here man, agree. Classics man PRT, KRS, DE LA, BLACK MOON and the list goes on.Real hip hop. RAP IS NOT HIP HOP TO ME. cheers

  • I really love this song. <3

    makes you relax. =]

  • This is such a lovely song from the 70s when I was a hippie and everything was groovy. Brings back memories of a lost world.

  • @MrsBeasley55 Bet you're still a hippie in your heart :)

  • @WhoElse60 You bet I am! Long (gray) haur and all :)

  • @WhoElse60 Yep! Heart and looks! It´s a lifestyle

  • reminds me of the summer days i spent in maine and nova scotia...carefree, peaceful, happy...god, what happened to that world?

  • Thanks so much Manuel... this song reminds me of immigrating to Canada after living in a war zone! xxx

  • i like listening too this song, when im sitting outside in a rainy day, under a canopy - having the wind blow threw my hair.. and breeze nipping my face.. lovely song, will always be cherished..

  • Wow, yes I can feel that too!!

  • I love this song. Really reminds me of my childhood. I remember listening to this song on the radio when my mom picked me up from summer camp. We would go shopping or to dinner with my dad afterwards. I also remember my dad throwing a barbecue party at our home and I would run around the yard...I can still smell the fresh cut grass and the delicious food that was prepared by my parents....aahh..childhood...the innocense, carefree days...this song paints my childhood for me....summer of 1978.

  • This song is great!!! I always think of the movie "Dazed and Confused" haha! OMG there were SOOOO many hot, long haired guys in that movie wow! Wiley Wiggins... oh man. haha

  • This tune makes me weep. I think of playing on the shag carpet while my ma was ironing clothes, watching General Hospital, and my pop coming home from work with his sweet-ass sideburns and leisure suit.

Call it nostalgia. For me, it was my life.

  • I want to get high to this song

  • I just did get high to this song.

  • people slam the 70s, but some of the best music came from that decade...

  • who slams the seventies? it was like one big huge party celebrating the end of the Vietnam war and all that social oppression crap from the sixties.

  • Not only that, but the best movies. Star-Wars, The Godfather, The French Connection, Jaws, The Excorsist. And Tv shows! All in the Family, M.A.S.H., Battlestar Galactica, Sanford and Son, Good Times. The 70's rocked!

  • That's because people don't know what good music is. Rap and hiphop is NOT music. I was born in the early 80's. I would never like today's garbage if they paid me to.

  • I was born in 1980 and I gotta defend Hip-Hop. RAP sucks, but hip hop is always good: Common, Talib Kweli, The Roots... Great music. Soulja-Boy and the like are CRAP. Hip-Hop is MUSIC with a message whereas RAP is just about money and "bitches"

  • true

  • this song brings me memories

  • This song is so relaxing

  • omg! they played this at abercrombie today! lol! ironic

  • tht not ironic, its just, coincidence, lol. it would be ironnic if they plyed this on a rainy day.

  • or ironic tht someone talking about irony cant spell the word, haha, had to get myself before someone else did there.

  • All time favorite!

  • ivsiii your quite right does bring back fond memories. =)

  • Brings back fond memories.

  • one word AWESOME

  • This really is a beautiful song.

  • pretty song.......

  • it is interesting to see the comments below so I can say that despite We live in different countries and continents this music brings to us the same fellings...maybe this time will not came back but I will have it in my mind...it is magic...

  • i wish life was like the 70's, carefree and no extreme governmental problems

  • I guess you don't remember a guy named Nixon? The crap we're dealing with now is Republican revenge for ousting him. I wish we had politicians who gave a crap about the Constitution like we had in the 70s.

  • Reminds me of the 70s. Camp on Little Lake Sunapee in NH. Man I miss that.

  • this is a really great song!! it reminds me of those breezy summer days at the farmhouse in the countryside I use to live in when I was little *sniffle*. Good times, good times!!

  • Love this song!!...Awesome!!..Lovely video as well!!...5***** :)-Thanks so much for sharing!!

  • weird, i think this song is more of an early fall song when the days start to get shorter but you can still be outside comfortably.

  • The Month of July is mentioned in the song. I guess July could be "early fall". But it would be very very early fall.

  • No its not. This one is the best.

  • theese are stressful days...did you feel it drift away for a few minutes ?

  • Me encanta, me hace soñar con días pasados.

  • Awesome mellow song, thanks for posting it.

  • beautiful.

  • just some great music to make the day go better i love this song
