UMB12 - SCOTU (Ike) vs Anther (Pikachu) 1

I know that this is an old video but I read some of SCOTU's little thread posts talking about how Ike has all these weaknesses and kinda sucks ... Which is okay because in a lot of ways he does (even though he was being hella rude about it) . . . BUT, I'm not impressed by HIS Ike at all (during this time period)... I am assuming he's got a lot better since this vid but all I have to say is don't trash talk Ike if your not even dope with him... and lets stop being so mean to the casuals ...

I need help with my pikachu, as far as im concerned im pretty decent with pikachu air attacks (Nair, Bair, etc) and pikachu's QAC but i just don't know when to use pikachu's thunder jolt.

whenever using pikachu's thunder. time it right so you wont get hit in the down time.

and also running and then using a hard up attack can fling anybody up to a thunder jolt attack. it's all timing bro

I've noticed that in a lot of Anthers fights he'll QAC everywhere and he winds up getting killed immediatly afterward :P

He's done more advanced QAC's in other videos. QAC's look awesome and flashy and they aren't hard to perform after a fair bit of practice.

I use more QAC's than Anther, as a matter of fact :o but his mindgames are still better than mine...

Pika's projectiles > Ike

If you keep spamming them he will have a hell of a time getting close to you. Also, Ike's side-B will always be canceled by them, weither during the charge up or after it's released.

I've played this MU way too much...

WOW. Anther is amazing at QAC. He was basically bouncing from platform 2 platform!!! I love you Anther and I hope that I can be that good one day.

But the Ike player was good too. He had great spacing throughout the entire match, which isn't easy to do.

Ike's agility hurts him in a stage like this against a character like Pikachu. That Ike still could have beat him. Good stuff.

so what, you mostly spam (well, not spam but use a lot) the thunderspark, switch between chaingrabbing/f-throw into running-u-smash, and use a lot of nairs and fairs. you do do it very skillfully though. I'll try adding some of that into my pikachu...you make it seem like skill, but whenever I use him in brawl it feels like I'm spamming way too much. XD I liked the melee pika better though. =/
