Out of roughly 520 detainees that have been realeased, 18 have returned to Al Quida.

Closing Gitmo was a smart decision and was just as smart symbolically as it was strategically. Gitmo was a complete mess. People were tortured, not everyone there is guilty, and there was no long-term plan to deal with these people. These people need to be removed from Gitmo, tried in the U.S. or their country of origin, and be either imprisoned or released depending on whether their guilty or not. Out of roughly 520 detainees that have been realeased, 18 have returned to Al Quida.

Why do people consider Ron Paul to be a radical? His ideas may seem radical today because our government has strayed so far from what was originally intended by those radicals who set this whole experiment of liberty in motion. Most of his ideas are simply common sense. Anyone read his book, The Revolution? I did and thought it was great, but really it's just common sense. The thread that's woven throughout the book is "don't spend more than you make" and "less government is better."
