I am. But I've visited friends who live next to LHR, and I didn't get ANY sleep at all for four days. And - er - I didn't like it. But during the day it's pretty cool.
planes do not take off in the middle of the night...this would be an issue if you sleep during the day, which would be bad because that is when you need to be outside...

I was there for 2 weeks :D Little advice for future guests - don't stay in your room - have fun on a beach/piano bar/pool/etc. - you won't even notice the planes then :)
last year december on my wy to dunns river falls i saw couple of 747 at montego bay i was surprise because i didnot know the runway was so long acomadate such large airplane and kingston on of these days a plane is going to run off the run way because i went there on a spirit aitline a321 and the pilot use maximum reverse trust and it took a while before coming to a full stop
Mo-Bay (Sangster Intl.) is the busiest airport in the English Speaking Caribbean, they call it the gateway to the caribbean b/c a lot of airlines use it as a caribbean hub. So a lot of heavies land there. The runways are more than long enough at both airports but there are plans to extend them to 10g ft.
Is that the only air port on the island??

jumbos can land at both major airports in jamaica, we usually get A330,A340-3/6, 747 etc. really great to see landing and take off
