What saves the singer (in this case) is a vocoder. But in many Italo Disco recordings, the male voices had such heavy Italian accents that a song, which could otherwise be a great song, was totally ruined. However, in many cases, super creativity with synthesizers (or in this case, a vocoder) saved the recording.
