  • This song was covered by Linda Kaye Henning of Petticoat Junction fame. Her version is on the newly released "The Girls From Petticoat Junction: Sixties Sounds. Her version showcases her rich alto singing voice, which was a stark contrast to her high pitched speaking voice.

  • Peter Anders can cough and it sounds like a smash.

  • Haven't heard this song in 45 years!!!!!! It has been frequently on my mind and have been trying to find it online for years. I'm much better at Googling now. It's a shame that the last two generations have never heard it. ps writer Don Ciccone also was with the Critters, Four Seasons and Tommy James!

  • Do Gary Lewis and the Playboys come to mind on this? Copyright issue here!

  • Great tune! First time I've ever heard it, despite being around in the mid-'60s. Now it's among my YouTube favorites. Thanks for posting this, hirorecords!

  • Does anyone know who wrote this song?

  • Oh, back in my freshman high school days, and all the girls I thought of when I heard this song, and still do today. Surprisingly only made it to #34 on Billboard top 100. Thought it deserved a top 10. Harmonies second to none.
