Actually, Obama has been doing a much better job of enforcing immigration law than an of his predecessors. What he really needs is a law with teeth that meets out a prison sentence for folks who hire illegals, rather than just pay a fine.

My city recently had a jobs fair; thousands of locals showed up; however when I drive past local construction sites, all I see are Hispanics. Either they are cheap illegal labor or every construction firm has a fetish for Hispanics.

I've been in construction for 30 years and can tell you they've taken over so much that Americans are LESS valuable than they are. Contractors know illegals can communicate better with the other trades than Americans, and they fit into the "culture" of the job site. Therefore they are paid well. Some crew leaders make $50K

As a amatter of fact, there was time not long ago when being a dishwasher was the first step of a successful restaraunt owner and a summer time lawn mowing job was the first step of successful landscaper ect.... College degrees can be a diversion from life experience and therefore offer no chance of trial and error. Americans are being robbed of these cornerstones of life that breed success.
