I just saw her at Golden West and she has really grown, her jumps are struggling - but it appears that she is starting to get her legs back and she ended up in 3rd place at the Junior Level. I have seen her working on 3 triples that are very close! She should have at least 1 maybe 2 by Regional's.. GO KATLYNN!

Her old Coach whom I know taught her a lot of bad habits like throwing her neck into the jump and she never learned how to use her arm position. This last week at Golden West, She really looked a lot better as far as those go. It will take a while to break, but she really looks to be improving those areas...

i didn't see any triples in that program, unless im mistaken - are there others that she does do them in? could you post a link if there are? I didn't mean to criticise her, i really love Katlyn's skating, now that she has lost the frantic style which she used to skate with when she was younger.

no, there's no triples in this program. I have seen her land a triple loop, but no way is it consistent. She said she definitely has triples planned in this year's programs, and she has competed already many times this season. but I haven't seen her program yet. I don't have a link, probably not until regionals will we know for sure what jumps she's doing.

I saw both her short and long at summerskate in Burnaby B.C this summer, in her long the hardest elements were had a 2axel/2axel, 2 axel on it's own aand combo and landed 1 triple sal

near the end she did a triple but it wasn't very good :( she still has a frantic style but shes made it more for her age. Shes working on triples now she is now in Junior level and she turns 16 on the 9th of September

I think her style now is much more relaxed then it was, it's definitely not as calm as other skaters, but it's not frantic as it was, more energetic - which i like

@ariamskay She may be hyper, but she's actually a great person to me! We are good friends, and she is very nice and motivating. She was not over hyped either, many people are like that! Shhe is trying her best, and that is all she can offer right now. She is very focused, and is ready to get back in the game! Just give her another chance, and she will always give a positive result in some way!

I say, WOO GO KATLYNN!!!!!! Crank it up!

Actually I know she is trying to get over bad habits formed by her old Coach, she is really working hard from what everyone can see to get over the bad habits from her previous Coach. She must accomplish this before her new Coach Tammy Gambill and her Team before they will allow the triples. But, she is getting close, not sure it will be this year or not. Coaching is such a hard thing to overcome.

Really? I think she's improved quite a bit here, her spins and jumps look a lot stronger, and she has a lot more speed.
