  • This is really GREAT!

  • GREAT!! :D

    Very very good job!! ;-)

  • Great Job... I was waiting for Greg to come in with the vocals right at the end :-)

  • @bubblabu man, that would've freaked me right out!

  • cold as ice

  • @Spudboy41 if more passion is what you're after, check out my performance of Chopin's Revolutionary Etude.

  • it's really good...maybe a bit slow but a great rendition nonetheless :)

  • @Calti10 thanks! i can play it faster, but i like the musicality of the original studio tempo which is what my goal was, a faithful recreation of the original. no more or less.

  • @Calti10 thats pretty much the tempo of the studio version. ELP themselves played it slower in the early 90s

  • Outstanding. Excellent rendition. Not an easy piece. And you seem to have figured out all the notes correctly. You are very talented. I wish I had the time to sit down on my hammond and simply play. Next life.

  • @electrongas thank you very much! i don't really have time for this stuff either but i make time anyway for things like this occasionally. i'm going to spend more time on original music some but that doesn't pay the bills either.

  • Really good!

  • Any chance you and your band could come to Australia? Been waiting for ELP for forty years!!

  • That's not "redundant" - that's the most accurate performance of Eruption (first part of Tarkus) I've seen here on YouTube. Well done Man, that's awesome. Are all these fine keyboardists working this out by ear, or is there accurate sheet music of this?

  • @carlosantuckwell thanks! the goal here was exactly that, an accurate reproduction. there has been published music for this available for years that is mostly accurate but not completely. also, there are no notes on what part goes on what manual, what the registration is, which parts have percussion and so on. i figured all that out by ear and corrected the mistakes in the notation. surprisingly, i think this may be the only example of a faithful reproduction on a real Hammond.

  • Well down. I like this soung and the hamond organ, too. I am playing the hammond.

my name is SUZUKI in japan.

  • That was pretty damn good!

  • Has the dawn ever seen yo... Aw, it's over. :o(

  • Yeah its me drummerDave E. See that your in Going For The One, thats awesome, when you guys coming back to N. E. Ohio?

  • @eldato333 we'll be back at the Winchester in the spring sometime. Keep an eye on the website for the schedule.

  • Damn fine job Matt, brings back memories of the Trilogy days with McCutcheon and Danny G.

  • @eldato333 is that dave? thanks dude : )
