  • im from alabama and i dont say hi i say hey and im proud of my accent i dnt care who ya are and yes i dont say yellow i say yella and i dont say over there i say over yonder but who gives a rats ass its the way i tall

  • This sounds like a guy who has never heard anyone from Alabama trying to do an Alabama accent and failing horribly.

We sound nothing like that. And no one says howdy.

  • oh my god, this is just terrible. to me it sounds like you were fighting between at one point covering up a boston accent, and another covering up an australian accent. i imagine this is what a child molester would sound like. no one here in alabama talks like that.

  • Your voice is all over the place. I don't even know what to call it. It's awful. I'm from Alabama. We make fun of people that sound like this.

  • well I do think that the characters in documentaries like Dancing Outlaw or Prom Night in Mississippi or the Wild and Wonderful whites of West Virginia sure talk like Forrest Gump, that's my opinion, and I do like it no matter what

who knows...maybe one day I'll become a redneck myself to:)))) lol

  • I love Forrest Gump.

  • This is terrible. In alabama we beat up people like you in high school so maybe they will have a chance to turn out normal. Maybe someone should have done that to you.

  • You look Mexican man.

  • It is very true...Rednecks sound like that...and they proboly do fuck there cousins...im from alabama...and theres more Ghetto accents and...more of northern accents....the reason forest gumb sounded like that...is because he was retarted....Dont let these videos fool you...not all of us sound like dumbasses

  • dont go hard on him guys, this is how a hungarian hears you talk!

  • I've lived in alabama my whole life & never heard anyone talk like this. And i have a very deep southern accent, i hear. But this is just ridiculous, try harder man.

  • How come everyone thinks we all in Alabama talk like Forest Gump? lol that sucked dude nonetheless, kudos for trying

  • Comment removed

  • You suck... That's horrible.

  • I've lived in rural Alabama over 20 years and have neeever heard anyone talk like that. I've heard plenty oh hick-talk...but this sounds fake as hell.

  • C'mon, you're kidding. I have lived in Alabama for ages, and that isn't really the thing.

  • umm... try again

  • this is a huge failure. what the fuck is "sweet home, eeluhbama".

this is not even close. you sound way off

  • He missed the southern accent that Gump had but he got the retarded part down pat. He must be retarded. LMAO

  • wow. we dont talk like that... at all. you just sound like an idiot. We also don't say howdy. Try Louisiana. They talk like that.

  • I've lived in Alabama my whole life (21 years) and I've never heard anyone sound remotely close to Forrest Gump. You should quit doing accents because this one completely sucked.

  • this is a VERY bad alabam acent we speak more like geogia and tennesse

  • HEEEEEEEYYYYY u making funa me?

  • hahah I love their accent :)

  • Also, I sincerely hope you don't think people in Alabama are actually like they are in Forrest Gump.

  • thank you(lives in alabama)

  • i like it , that's cool buddy .

  • well, listen...I am not an American, I haven't been to Texas or Alabama, so I don't know nothing about how texans talk and all that...I made this video in order to show my appreciation, to show how much I respect the SOUTH...that's all it is to it...the fact that I mentioned KKK is that that's how the quote goes...

  • My grandmother was from Alabama and she had the most lovely drawl, nothing like this. "That chiIIld hasn't got the brains of a buhd..."

  • lol...my aunt just married a guy who has lived in alabama is whole ebtire life and I really cant understand a damn word the guy says, his accent is so thick and its actually kinda annoying lol

  • u r talented :)

well, the Alabama Accent is better than ur hometown accent .. lol

  • What would you know of his hometown accent?

  • don't need to criticize, but you're off on several major points. Firstly, no one.... I mean NO ONE says "howdy". Not even in Texas, much less Alabama. Also, people in Alabama NEVER say "hi". I lived in Alabama for two years. They do have very thick accents, but that doesn't mean they sound like uneducated morons. It's actually a nice welcoming and melodic sound. And it's too bad you felt the need to include a KKK reference. That was totally offensive and revealing of your own ignorance.

  • 4lfclover66... ahem... just because someone mentions the KKK, doesn't mean he/she/it necessarily subscribes to its doctrine. If I said 'Hitler was a great man', would you label? me a nazi? You can't judge somebody after having only heard one single sentence come out of his/her/its mouth. And YOU are the one who's being ignorant here. Don't be so quick to label.

PS: How do people greet in Alabama and in Texas? :-?

PS2: That 'moronic' accent has Hollywood to be blamed for.

    Peace :)

  • If I did a German accent and used the phrase "Heil Hitler", I'm sure Germans would be infuriated and give me hell for it and rightly so. You have even more offensive and ignorant references regarding incest .... all spoken in the tone of an retarded southerner (well, of course, are there any other kind?) As to your question: We say "Hey" instead of "Hi" (that's yankee) or "Howdy" (that's Gunsmoke) BTW Hollywood offers a gazillion choices in movies and it is clear which type you seem to watch.

  • I'm from Bama and we do, in fact, say "hi." We certainly don't say howdy, though, unless we're acting redneck on purpose. The accent really depends on where in Alabama you are. In the cities, the accents exist but they aren't overpowering. You hear the redneck accents when you get farther into the country.

We greet with the typical greetings. "Hi," or "Hello," to someone you're just meeting, an acquaintance, or a superior; and "Hey!" to a friend or someone you're comfortable with.

  • thank you We cetainy o NOt say howdy

  • @4lfclover66 EVERYONE and their brother says howdy in Texas.

  • @4lfclover66 Don't mean to troll you, but "Also, people in Alabama NEVER say 'hi.' I lived in Alabama for two years." I'm 19, born and raised in Alabama. Everybody says "hi," like....all the time. All 4.7 million of us.

  • It would fool me if I didn't know it was fake.5 stars

  • Thank You very much, Dan! My friend will be in the seventh heaven once I tell him your opinion!

  • I think your accent is good.

  • pfiaj bazmeg mi van itt ember?

  • Semmi erdekes... ;)
