In this movie, when Daniel talks to Ali in the arcade, what is he apologising for and why is she mad at him? After seeing this film like 100 times, I have never understood this.

@StefanVEVO16 Because she danced with Johnny reluctantly at that posh country club, where she was meeting Daniel, Johnny being her ex, thought he would try and get peck on the cheek out of her, Daniel put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5, so as far as i can make out, it was Daniel's fault for overeacting, not Ali's, she never really wanted to dance with Johnny in the first place, then Daniel went off in huff and probably gave her the cold shoulder for days.

@StefanVEVO16 There is a deleted scene where after Daniel catches her with Johnny she tries to explane to him that he kissed her and she had nothing to do with it, Daniel does not let her explain and she gets angry with him. The scene was cut out, making Daniel's apology make no sense.

Man, what a dose of nostalgia! I was 13 when I watched this movie and the SOUNDTRACK is PHENOMENAL!!!

The song in the background is called 'The Moment of Truth' by Survivor the same group that played the Rocky movies(Eye of the Tiger and Burning heart). A great film with a simple but great story and well acted throughout.

I love the Karate Kid, but from what I read there were a few scenes they took out of the movie that I wish they'd kept in, like the cafiteria scene where Johny put the pie on the chair just as Daniel sat down. I do think the new one was very good and it really did a beautiful job at presenting China. I mean in China this was far more serious, but being that there kids in the new one makes it less serious. Never saw the remake but remember the old one and it was one of my favorite movies back then. Watching this trailer brings back memories of a simpler time and it's too bad there isn't a time machine.
