  • This is such a beautiful song. As you look back at the music from this era, Motown has to get it's due as being just as good (maybe even better) as the classic rock that came out at the time. The talent from this time, and the music they created was timeless. Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, the Supremes just to name a few.

  • You did great with the sound baby!!! Just great!

  • Diana could never sound this good.

  • Jean Terell was a magnificent vocalist.

  • If I were Jean Terrell I would be falling out of my chair laughing at this

  • bring back tamla motown please get rid of the rubbish out now

  • can't beat this people!

  • Yeah BABY!

  • Supremes at their best

  • A beautiful song performed by beautiful ladies!

  • Northern Soul mover & shaker in my school days. ktf

  • This is Jean Terrells Moment to Shine, She did a Great Job!

  • Miss Jean was OK!!! Stepped into big ass shoes and filled them just fine...

  • very nice and smooth

  • i use to play this song all the time when i was a lil girl and i;ll just be singing at the top of my voice thanks for reminding me of the good old days 'chetta '

  • The pictures wrong Diana Ross had left the group.

  • the sound is great ¡

  • Give the Guy a Break, he was nice enought to post the God Damn Song, Fuck the Picture already

  • @TheReturnOfBigBear ...............right these idiots are so dam anal

  • @daylamont It's Called "Mary Wilson" Syndrome, Paranoid, Jealous & Insecure,Talented Peope like Jean Terrell or Diana Ross could care less, Notice they seem to Ignore Florence Ballard being in the Photo? LOL!!!!!

  • one of several post-diana ross supremes that i like.didn't hear this one until 1987,when i've found the 45 copy of this song.i also liked the full lp version of this too when i've found their"new ways but love stays" album in 1990.another great motown classic.

  • Then take Mary Wilsons Damn Face of The Love Child Album & Someday We`ll be Together Recording too, She didn`t even sing on those recordings, Get Over it

  • Maybe some people don't think the picture matters, but I do. This was in fact their best seller and it happened without Diana Ross!! That does matter!!

  • Love this song...love, love, love it!! ;-D

  • This is the only Supreme song I really, really like, and ironically it's the only major hit they had without Diana Ross.

  • THIS. : )

  • Thanks so much for posting this song.. but I cannot BEAR to see that heartless cruel bitch in the picture.. She will surely burn in hell for how she treated Florence Ballard and the way she dissed Mary and Cindy when it came time for a reunion. Funny how she had the worst voice out of the 3... I guess if you get on your knees for the right person.. you can have a career in music...

  • this is lovely.

  • Pat Sweeney where are you baby ? Roger xx first love from edlo xxxx

  • "I find no other greater symbol of love..."

  • diana ross was the best ever she had a voice that was to died for.

  • Great music <3.....thanks for uploading this

  • James jamerson Benny Benjamin ...are you kidding me? GENIUS......You youngsters dont know shit

  • yeh but this is jean terells song and she was fantastic

  • Nice photo of Diana Ross, even though she'd already left when this was recorded. Lead vocal on Stoned Love is by Jean Terell

  • @DaMuttzNutz To hell with that bed-mattress strapped Diana Ross. It's about Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson. Diana looks like a welfare chick.

  • @gerlsus Careful, We all know Mary Wilson was `The Friendliest`Supreme, Cindy the Nicest Supreme & Florenece Lost Supreme, she never even recorded on this song, (it was Cindy, DUH!)

  • Everyone has a preference. Mine is Diana Ross. Her voice is unique.

  • Ross screwed Barry Gordy and ended up screwing the other 2 Supremes too.

  • True classic

  • i find no other greater symbol of love :P

  • sorry but Diana Ross is not part of this song, great song, #1 song NE Arizona

  • Who cares that the picture is incorrect. The sound is GREAT !! Thanks for posting !!

  • @fab4fan4ever64 thanks Darlin'...some people forget I could have posted it with pics of me..lol :P

  • @nyseamex lol

  • What became of the songwriter - Kenny Thomas??

  • @Kaffe89 He still lives in Michigan.

  • 1 dislike....what a twat

  • @jaiderspink Yeah a deaf twat lol

  • Why are the "original" Supremes on this picture when it was the reconstituted Supremes who made this song a smash hit!

  • Remember it from Northern nights in 70s. Classic

  • Jean Terrell was the lead singer of The Supremes when this song was issued. Diane had already left the group.

  • Damn Diana, just wasn't right!!!

  • Yeah...the audio on this version is better than the TV performance..so here I am....but at least that version had the right members...any poss of making the photo historically correct?

  • @MrByrdbath it might not be the right photo..but it's damn sure the right music!!!! ;-) so Cheers!!!!

  • @nyseamex I agree that the music is superb, but you really should change that picture because it is misleading and rather disrespectful to Jean Terrell, Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong that did the work to give us this eternally great, great record! Thanks!

  • Yeah buddy! This was my very first record. Luv it!!!

  • very gay , beyonce number one

  • FIVE STARS *****

  • solid soul

  • Maybe they were stoned when they added the picture! lol

  • Great song, but WHY IN THE WORLD would you post a picture of Diana Ross with it when she is most definitely NOT on this record???

  • Hey this song has its saying> u know something ,listen to the words to this this song

  • It don't get much better......

  • You'd have to be a very heartless bastard, to not like a bit of motown.. brilliant!!

  • Amazing how Jean Terrell looks so much like Diana Ross!!

  • @4Y83Z120401 Iagree

  • Jean Terrell lead vocals. One of the best "Supreme" hits after Diana Ross left!

  • Alll Well!

  • this was their last number one hit

  • awesome!

  • they don't make this music, them girls or the times it was ever again

  • samuel jones st neots.always take me back to there

  • timeless .....

  • You mean veeganboy that Ms. Terrell sounds very much like Diana Ross?

  • This is one of the last songs they recorded together.Soon After Diana ran out to find aint no mountain high enough..

  • @robphilll22 : I believe Diana was already gone when this was recorded.

Jean Terrell (Diana's replacement) is the lead vocalist on "Stoned Love".

This was among the first songs released by The Supremes, without Diana Ross.

  • @veeganboy Right you are...Jean Terrell sang lead on "Stoned Love." Also, this picture is an older one of The Supremes... Florence Ballard, on the left, was replaced by Cindy Birdsong... but this is a great song, nonetheless... Hello to a fellow Supremes fan !!

  • @robphilll22 You are wrong diane ross is not on this record. This all Jean Terrell, Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong!

  • @DetroitLives313 Indeed.

  • DIANALESS SUPREMES. STILL VERY GOOD.

  • The Black P. Stone's anthem

  • A Supreme of a Hit!

  • stone luv lol

  • girl groups had class!!! and no one can take that away from these beautiful talent ladies!!!!

  • An all time goodie

  • This was one of the most sophisticated Motown records ever made. A total of around 36 musicians.

Superb. Jean Terrill sang this far better than Diana could ever have.

  • @NearAbbeyRoad

I think Jean Terrell's voice is perfect for this song. She had a lower range than Diana's Soprano.

  • The Supremes are my favorite Motown female vocal group. Gotta love those sequin dresses.

  • Best!

  • i love this song ... those were the good old days ...

  • Remember Diana Ross didn't sing the lead on this, it was Jean Terrill

  • hey im not real and i like this stuff

  • Love this song - Motown had so much talent it was unbelievable. Motown

WAS the "hit" machine - no doubt about it!!!! F A B U L O US. Thanks for the post.

  • Play it loud.

  • Beautiful song

  • Dianna wasn't the best vocalist in the Supremes. But she WAS bangin' Barry Gordy. And that made all the difference in the world...

  • @Dougster58 I will defend Diana because her talent is beyond under-rated it doesn't matter what her and Berry personally had going her you can't deny the fact that she had talent and she could sing she was a great vocalist and her best vocal performance is shown on her solo work

  • I am so sorry it was jean terrell .1960 was when barbara martin left the group. she was the forth girl in the group when they started. SORRY

  • Comment removed

  • I may be wrong but Diana wasn't with the Supremes when this song was released.

  • you're right..it's Jean Terrell on lead vocals and she was awesome.

  • oceanprick!!! You are the weakest link!!!

  • oceanprick!!! But your dead and ugly!!!

  • He's just a sad, pathetic mentirosa.

  • I'm so glad that it eats oceanpricks guts out that there were other ladies that made The Supremes not just Diane Ross. Don't know which planet he came from!

  • One of the greatest Supremes records ever! Jean Terrell just soars on this!

  • WOOOO HOOOO! Love it...thank you, my friend.
