All of these observations also carry to any other subject that the current media is covering concerning the US Economy. They want panic. What an egg head.
he says "do you think they should raise interest rates when the economy is contracting" and then ends with "im bullish on america" 2 complete total opposites.
Wow. Dennis looked extremely stupid there. Saying over and over again that Schiff was right and yet blaming him for being right about it. What about all the douche bags who were telling people to buy stocks right before the market started to tank? Were they right (while being in reality wrong) just because they had the right party line to speak? Bullish on America just because it's America with all our debt and spend-thrift ways? What a dumb ass.
God Dennis is a wanker. Where the hell was the punishment CNBC were advertising he was going to deliver to Schiff. I just wish it went another minute before he pussied his way out as per usual. Definitely the worst reporter of any financial channel, thank god we don't get him here.
Wow..."the doom sayer" made a reputation by "forecasting doom"...turning out to be right...is this guy done talking yet? I mean the facts are the facts...he isnt sitting in some freaking cave with a crystal ball or dropping rocks on the ground...lol it is simple...eventually your credit will run dry if you keep on using the card...I mean how is this doom sayer or doom forecasting? every freaking time peter is on cnbc it is some bs with the anchor or co host. where is rick sanetlli? let him host!
Holy crap, the host of this show is a complete moron. Do people actually take this guy seriously?? Honestly, how can he invite Peter on his show and give him crap about being bearish about the US economy when he's been right? Look at the shape our economy is in, and the host is berating people for speaking doom and gloom?? What planet is this guy from?
Too funny Denny defends every Wall Street Scheme and Crook no matter how disgraceful the Scam. The guy is really hard to stomach because he is such a shill. Even for CNBC he is low! LOL
1) Couldn't he be bullish and also sell bullish books? Kneale must not have thought about that,
2) The only people they criticise for 'just trying to sell books' are the people like schiff. Kneale - "Hey dont listen to this guy, even tho he was dead right in his predictions about pretty much everything because he's a bear and bears are unpatriotic and we dont want to listen to them because it dosnt sound nice

DK is trying to label all logical economists as doom sayers, so just demonize them and then u don't have to agree with them. So any time u r bearish about the economy u r a doom sayer and your words and logical reasoning does not matter and is flawed. Same 'ol media tricks.
Also he is unable to logically oppose Schiff. He wants to paint Schiff as though Schiff is predicting the end of the world, infact he is only predicting the end of dollar dominance.
I think he needs to stop saying predicting if that is the case because it isnt even predicting. He looks at the effects of how bad the current administration or the past screwed up and put it all together and say ok this is gonna happen. He says it over and over and each time gets mocked buut...people are looking out and figuring out something is going on.
this guy is ridiculous. what he's saying is ridiculous. these mainstream news programs are brought and sold and owned. Then he has the nerve to say "im not selling anything." LOL. This guy is nothing more than an insurance salesman....hahahahahahaaaaa. Peter Schiff chewed him up and spit him out. I would love to see him take on Gerald Celente and Schiff and that same time since he so confident.
When 100% of the comments on this page are for peter and against CNBC, its apparent that this network peddles a bunch of lies to the public. 100%!!!!!!! How dare Dennis Kneale says Schiff has something to sell, and thats why hes bearish. CNBC has even more to sell, and thats why they are perma bulls. If CNBC was bearish on the economy, all the advertisers would get cranky and pull out and their ad revenue would dry up. This kneale guy is a total disaster and disingenuous.
CNBC don't sell anything - the C's in CNBC must stand for citizen's and charity - their website has ads for gambling, I guess, as an act of charity for struggling crooks

Why call them "doomsayers" when they were, in fact, realists? They were right! Had we listened to them, we could have avoided (or, at least, lessened the extent of) this crisis. Instead, CNBC douche bags act like folks such as Schiff, Taleb, and Whitney just got lucky, and still dismiss them as "doomsayers."
I can't believe anyone believes CNBC. They are nothing more than corporate-owned stock market cheerleaders. Read financial blogs like Naked Capitalism is you want any real news.
History is littered with people that never wanted to face the truth that was screaming right at their face ( Hitler/Germany, loyalists to the crown before the American revolutionary war )

You are just a showman who doesn't understand anything about the economy so it doesn't matter what you think, idiot. Whether you sell something or not.
Most smart, successful Americans and immigrants are in the USA solely for the money. If the American economy tanks these smart money-hungry people will move elsewhere. The US will be nothing but a huge corn ethanol plant. Government is all about balance.

Now we got 3 powers to deal with nations want nuclear weapons global power shift worhtless currency backed by shit no output in export expect agriculture. USA is the sinking of the lustiania economically !!!!!
peter Schiff is a very smart dude, who has a well-documented record as a forecaster. Also, he has top expertise in econ and finance. Great communicator. Would be an excellent replacement for Dodd in 2010
DK is being told to saying bullish things. it's most likely he personally agrees with peter schiff. no doubt he was educated in economic theory and knows what's happening in the economy is wrong.
These days, I'd be really surprised. There are a few different economic theories. Some use more empirical research (use of historical stats and math equations to predict future trends and less of or no observation of underlying social activity and relationships). Others use more deductive reasoning of human behavior/activity and use stats to illustrate the results of that behavior (human cause-effect or causal-realist). The host (and most of MSM) may be/is the former. Mr. Schiff is the latter.
But the thing of it is, the use of stats and math isn't even empirical. Economics, by its nature, is NOT an empirical science. Using historical, arbitrarily-constructed stats is NOT empiricism. Historicism and empiricism are mutually-exclusive, since empiricism demands objective observations of present events. One can't empirically observe the past.
I understand. I talking about the approaches. The first is inductive reasoning of the historical events. There's no theory prior to reviewing historical events. The "theory" is induced from trying to review historical events. I agree economics, as well as other social sciences should use deductive logical reasoning, develop theories, and observe events using the logically developed theories. My fault. I should have mentioned induction.
And data is totally meaningless without an a priori theory. Try checking all the fluids in a car, without knowing anything about cars or what the fluids are and what levels they should be. Totally meaningless.
Hallelujah (I hope I spelled that right)! Trying to correlate data without a logical deductive theory of cause and effect dynamics of human action is absolutely ridiculous.
I guess my point is its hard to tell whether MSM is disingenuous or uneducated or a bit of both. Mises thought that most MS intellectuals seemed to be more fascinated with control rather than understanding, whether it be by illogical, self deluding education or active central planning for desired results.
hume12345 made a point that the show host is being disingenuous, but I think it's hard to tell. Many agree that free markets choose the right and punish the wrong. But how many are WILLING to suffer the consequences when they're wrong? Main and Wall Street want bailouts for bad decisions. Is there misguided education or just desire for exceptionalism to keep the status quo? Is the thought process wrong or is it altered to conform to a desired end? It's why I mentioned other schools/theories.
free market doesn't punish anyone because there is not a free market, government overtook the market and now is manipulating it and destroying it further.
I dont know why Peter takes the offer to go on a show like this. The host and whoever writes the script are complete idiots. What's the point of taking Peter on national tv to mock him?

I can't believe that 2 years into this mess people are still thinking like this dickhead host. It's like they got him out of the muppet show or something.
That host is an IDIOT! How many times do they have to be dead wrong before they get replaced? Time to shove another drone in there to take his place. How embarrassing it must be for CNBC to have him as a host!
Also selling Federal Reserve propaganda. These guys from CNBC just don't get the big picture. They got a PHD in bullshit and think they know the future, but they are always wrong
why do they keep trying to insult people like schiff.... it is so obvious that they are being tough on him on purpose.....so far it looks more and more like the US is in a lot of trouble...that reporter really looked nervous too at the beginning of the interview clearing his throat.....haha oh well
All of these observations also carry to any other subject that the current media is covering concerning the US Economy. They want panic. What an egg head.

I can't believe that 2 years into this mess people are still thinking like this dickhead host. It's like they got him out of the muppet show or something.

this guy is a talking head just like what mackey said about him
flagship21 2 years ago
That host is an IDIOT! How many times do they have to be dead wrong before they get replaced? Time to shove another drone in there to take his place. How embarrassing it must be for CNBC to have him as a host!

That talking-HEAD from CNBC is a cheeseball....
Where did they find that FOOL ?

The U.S. Dollar is going to PLUNGE in value - soon.
That's why it's a good idea, to get out of the U.S. Dollar and exchange $1 units for 5 - 10 - 20 - 50 and 100 U.S. notes..
Also, if you can get your hands on $2 bills, pick up a bunch of those too......

Also selling Federal Reserve propaganda. These guys from CNBC just don't get the big picture. They got a PHD in bullshit and think they know the future, but they are always wrong
schellaa 2 years ago
I agree with you! There was a time when "Intellectual" and "intellect" were synonymous. Not any more.
nmreich 2 years ago
How sad is that. Keep feeding us propoganda. Peter Schiff faces reality and embraces it.
tonelove14 2 years ago 2
Don't mean to hate though I have to ask, "Where did they find this chode?"
None of these guys have ever intelligently rebutted Schiff...ever. Is CNBC just one big pump and dump scheme?

Who is that guy talking to Peter?
He's such a disrespectful douchebag.
Surhotchaperchlorome 2 years ago 2
They just don't like you Peter because you make them all look so badly econimically.

why do they keep trying to insult people like schiff.... it is so obvious that they are being tough on him on purpose.....so far it looks more and more like the US is in a lot of trouble...that reporter really looked nervous too at the beginning of the interview clearing his throat.....haha oh well
