  • mm I think the pronunciation would be better and more spontaneous with italian or spanish people, don't you?

  • lol, "Cur" (Kur) means "dick" in my language (Macedonian)

Imagine asking my teacher: "Cock?" instead of "Why?"

  • mea minime interest

  • Good! But too german.

  • i hate when comments that say something like , 'i don't like this language, but i like this video ' song est , get all the thumbs up. i mean , why would you not like a language? maybe because you are too lazy to leard it.

  • where did u get the pic of the bear there is one like that in my town in romania

  • @alexandru315 it's a wolf with the twins Romulus and Remus. Romulus went on to build the city of Rome according to myth.

    tfuu!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaah, this is so funny , maybe if they had someone more natural it would sound more natural, but german accent is not so easy to hide...bravo Jungs!

  • corpus exitus = Corexit.

  • I guess the real latin accent is lost. So it doesnt matter if they speak with german accent.

  • I guess that´s what Latin with German accent sounds like.

  • @sigursteinn74 Yes Latin is not for Germans i think. It's for a half roman like me!

  • Vobis gratulor!

  • @duxromanorum88 ich will auch deutsch-latein übersetzten können xDD wie sagt man "lies, was dasteht? xD "lege, quod scriptum est"

  • @Himbeermaedl ^^ Ist doch gar nicht so schwer! Wie lange lernst du schon Latein?

  • @duxromanorum88 viel zu lange, für das, was ich zu Stande bringe xDD also per rechnung komm ich auf 6 jahre...

  • mmm, interesting, I prounce the older latin where the c is like ch in some cases.

  • The blond guy is a little scary!

  • These guys are GERMAN! Hahahaha :D

  • Romans with Germanic accents! lol

  • I know Latin and you guys need to work on pronounciation. "v"is pronounced "w", and the "r" is rolled. Also "Volo" means "I want". But good job.

  • r u guys german? Cuz u sounds like u are speaking latin with a german accent

  • I think it's great to hear Latin spoken by people from all over; it gives me a better idea of what it should really sound like, to be able to filter through various accents and extract what is fundamentally Latin in essence, and best of all to better appreciate all languages as they play off of each other. I think this sort of culture-crossing is the greatest blessing of living in this age.

  • @kajiem

    yes :)

  • Dutch accent... lol.

  • Wow. Bad pronunciation. Mali discipuli! Nos noscere meliorem de lingua latina! Nos habetis fortem scientiam de lingua latina! Mali discipuli, mali.

  • @11tagabotk Let's hear you speak some Latin....wait, you don't even have any videos!!

  • VALDE AMOENUS AC UTILIS

  • The German accent. I won't get used to it, ever :)

  • :) Cute accent (not perfectly latin but it's ok XD)

  • I don't see the point in this video, in fact... because Latin... where is it spoken? I mean, studying it is a great tool for understanding Latin languages and for translating... but, it is very useless as a language itself!

  • By writing this, I tried to answer some previous comments related to its pronunciation.. These two boys pronounced it in a really german-like way, but who SPEAKS latin to say if it's right or wrong? hahaha... it is just useful for translations and studies..

  • @LucretiaEv That is a very ignorant comment....I guess English and Spanish and a host of other languages are useless...why understand Latin, huh?? Perhaps there are some people in this world who appreciate deepening their understanding of language, history, and culture...

  • @LucretiaEv

Only with a thick accent is useless. I am not right, actually, it is useless regardless. :)

  • German Erasmian Latin sounds like German. French Erasmian Latin sounds like French. And American Erasmian Latin sounds like English. Anyone speaking with a reconstructed pronunciation is fooling himself if he thinks Cicero would recognize it as his own.

  • @Aeschylus

Not if one does good vocal training and pronunciation training.

  • Google: latin is having the edge

Join the Latin social network! ^^

  • C is k, g hard g

  • man hört euren deutschen akzent sher stark raus

  • WTF are this things

Please check yor Latin courses.

  • @jogomez1988 that's not true, if it's classical latin (not late latin) it should be always like "k"

  • Ubi loca zecreta zunt?

  • !! i know this guy i know this guy!! he's martin

  • oah NO WAY look at the clothes it is AMAZING :D:D:D:D:D!! guys you are so crazy! nice...

  • quod erat demonstrandum

  • Great Job guys! It's great you're really getting into the parts too! Nice Costumes!

  • haha yeah. they're using German pronunciation. Italian pronunciation would be closest to Latin. but it's still fun to hear! hahaha.

  • where I start from, we start 'amo amas'

then, after about 5 years, move on to 'amat'.

    but then we are backwards.

    and in high heels.

    h.

  • I like it. They try and the effort pays of, though they pronounce the qu like the German qu - kv.

  • the idea of latin courses is awesome, and i love that language. great job. the only thing I'd suggest is use poeple whose mother tounge are romanic languages (italian - spanish, mostly) ... they sound with a very german accent. Anyway, good job :)

  • in latin language to refer to German people is aleman or alemanes german is the right name for germans but in latin u say aleman

  • i don't like latin, but you did a great job =)

  • Sounds like German!

  • It's because the speakers are Germans themselves and know nothing about Latin.

  • they do sound like germans lol ,,

  • I was thinking the same way. I don't really know Latin, but it seemed like they were just using German pronunciation (which I do speak, some what.)

  • @alaenoctis They're speaking it, aren't they alaenoctis?? What is the foundation of your understanding??

  • @14nitetripper They are not speaking. They are simply reading a text somebody gave them. Speaking is related to interaction tete-a-tete.

  • I never learnt latin but I'm fluent in Italian, spanish, french. I guess it might help you but it's not very usefull... I prefer to learn the target language right away instead of passing by latin...

  • I think it's really interesting to hear the different accents that people who speak different languages have in Latin.

  • Why learn latin???

  • Well, it really helps with a lot of other languages. For example, I took two years of latin and was able to connect a lot of what I learned then with my French studies later. It even helps with englsh a little bit, and a lot with learning root words which can help you memorize vocabulary. =)
