@SuicideChtivi17 Well That makes sense. The BedRock definitely gave the fog you mentioned as seen in the video. As for making the trap in survival, I actually made the first part of the mob trap in that mode. I did use TooManyItems mod though. Basically what I am doing right now is using creative mode to build, then use NBTEdit to edit the level . dat file and gameplay mode to 0 which is survival. 1 is creative. This way I can play on both survival and creative.
@SevereIDAHO Ye sorry, I was a bit in a afk-minded state yesterday and thought you need a spawner for mobs to spawn in your tower making it almost impossible to do it without any mods/creative mode :p
If you guys want a detailed video on how I made the chicken egg harvester or mob trap let me know. Would be glad to show ya. Thanks for watching.

Answer is yes but I'd like to know if all of that would be possible in survival mode as well.
Nice system for both protection as collection with the mob grinder btw ;)
Ps: the blocks below that you forgot the name of is called bedrock which give a weird fog around them.
