I like this style of animation more than the HBO special. The extra sound effects HBO animators add sort of get in the way of the show.  I prefer listening to the audiobooks greater than watching the tv, but this is about as good as just the audiobook. Keep up the good work please, and if you could ehh... animate "Guide to the Human Body?" That would be awesome.

This animation represents what's funny about what's being said, not just animating a translation of what's being said. 2. less wasted time sat talking expressionless, taking away from the audio content unnecessarily, more time either focussing on the audio, or filling the time with animation genuinely adding to the comedy. More expression, more 'animation' of the characters, more likable representations of the characters, eyes with whites offer way more scope for animation/expression. a schoolboy error from the HBO guys.

The reasons why this works better then 'the Ricky Gervais Show'

1. Having Steve in the middle changes the dynamic enormously, he moderates the interaction between Ricky and Karl (adding to the comedy). As these are the two main voices in the show, steve is cut out by being on the end in the HBO version.

Ricky in the middle may have seemes to make sense for team HBO, but it was detrimental on the whole.
