  • handcuffs hands behind ur back,,,be spoon fed on ly what you need ffs

  • OMG America, you suck so hard

  • How can America be getting fatter when government is trying to stop it??? Usually government does everything right.

  • There IS a lot at STEAK, not stake

  • most of my people in my country can't afford to be this fat

  • IT'S YOUR OWN FUCKING FAULT IF YOU ARE THIS FUCKING FAT

  • america's too stupid to figure out what needs to be put in their mouths. "you are what you eat" is an accurate phrase for your health.

  • She sounds like asian reporter Trisha Takonowa from family guy

  • I AM THE 99% for weight!

  • This is breaking news!

  • no theory wtf, they're just eating too much, jesus fucking christ

  • @baozytools Hahaha. It is slightly more complicated than that, but essentially that is the truth.

  • "It can be done , but you got to have THE WILLPOWER for it"

  • @footimmy2 Exactly. My uncle was trying to loose weight a few years back, and after taking a bite out of a grapefruit-sized piece of cheese he said "I just can't seen to loose weight!" Really!? I can't imagine why! lol

  • god her voice is fucking ANNOYING

  • People become obese because they have an intake of more calories than they need. It's that simple. Sure, too much sugar and fat is unhealthy but that's not the main point.

  • veggie burger and baked beans? let me tell you what would be a real anti-obesity camp: just drop these kids alone in the middle of the amazon rainforest with only a knife, a machete and a map an compass, they'll lose weight tryng to get something to eat ,tryng to stay alive and tryng to come back home, since in this project there is no extraction, they'll have to reach the nearest town by themselves. i'm joking of course.

  • ..meanwhile in my bedroom. i'm eating oreo's chocolate bars and pop-tarts. LMFAO :D

  • Why is it though? Is it just the culture and the fast food or are people just not educated enough in the dangers of obesity?

  • @eithnejack , There's a lot of factors, but the main problem is processed food, fast food, junk food. We call white sugar, SUGAR. It's not sugar, it's an industrially processed chemical. Raw sugar cane tastes nothing like that white stuff, the same goes for white breads.. Bread isn't supposed to be white. - Also most USA Americans don't like to exercise. In Europe they eat real food. You don't see a McDonalds on every corner. Their environment is built on human scale, not cars.

  • @eithnejack I think alot of people dont understand how bad these foods they are eating really are for them. We need to emphasize more health learning in school.

  • @TheWeinerdrizzler Probably, yes - I have no idea how this is tackled in American schools but it's drilled into us over here from a young age.

  • Is this karma for slavery?

  • @DiversePersona LMFAO

  • @hinatababe97

    lmao XD

  • Personally I find it apalling how much negative judgement is directed towards those suffering from obesity. While caloric intake and amount of exercise are important factors (and clearly seem to be central factors in most cases), they don't explain all cases. It is obvious that other factors are at play too, which are either poorly understood or are beyond a person's conscious control.

  • @nitroboy756

So? Genetic factors should not be factoring this many people. Some people can't control their weight yeah, but the vast, vast majority of overweight people can. Caloric intake and lack of exercise are the real factors for so many people who have allowed themselves to become overweight. To say that this is inevitable because of certain body types is simply wrong, and ignores reality. Our bodies haven't changed in the last hundred years, but obesity rates have skyrocketed.

  • @Balian49 Yes, diet and/or exercise indeed works in almost all cases, but I still think there are wide individual differences as far as the net caloric intake required to maintain one's weight. Like if a group of people all had the same energy intake let's say, why do some get away with no excercise, while some require 10 hours a week of cardio to maintain body weight? I'm not sure if the other factor(s) are directly or necessarily genetic, but something else is going on.

  • This isn't rocket science. If you can't catch and kill it, or grow and gather it; don't eat it. Get off your ass and run or swim or bike or lift or something. It's not the government's responsibility to make sure you aren't fat.

  • @McSkankula I agree! Jack LaLanne had a similar quote about food: "If man made it, don't eat it." Good advice!

  • It is about what you are eating as opposed to how much you eat. Preservatives and all the other crap they put in food is obviously not harmless. Go to Europe and notice how everyone is slim. They eat REAL food. There isn't a hamburger joint on everyone corner. They also get more natural exercise than USA Americans ever will. They're not afraid to walk to places and they have more healthy options available to them.

  • It's not about WHAT you eat. It's about HOW much you eat. I know because I eat food most people would consider junk like ramen and hotdogs. Every overweight friend I've had has been overweight because they eat TOO MUCH! And by the way yogurt is good for digestion even with the sugar.

  • @MsCheezyMice Wrong. It's not about how much you eat, but WHAT you're eating. I am a raw vegan and I eat well over 4000 calories a day with little to no exercise. I weigh 160 and I'm 6'0. I maintain a lean physique because I am eating what nature intended. Please research before making dumb comments.

If i ate 4000+ calories a day from cheeseburgers rather than fruit I'd be morbidly obese. That is the difference

  • @MsCheezyMice The problem is that junk food is more calorie dense, so 3 meals of junk is going to tend to have more calories than 3 meals of healthy food, even if the portion sizes aren't huge. If people ate more vegetables they would feel more full throughout the day and not eat as many calories.

  • eat

  • This high fructose corn syrup issue is truly frightening! I used to me in medical sale and I subscribed to a couple of medical e-journals. In 96 recent independent studies on high fructose corn syrup this was published: high fructose corn syrup is believed to feed various cancer cells in the human body which may be an explanation of the heightened awareness and case numbers of cancer in America.

Eat NO prepared foods...simply cook at home. Extra benefit-family time at the dinner table.

  • The main problem, as I see it, is that health is still considered to be a personal responsibility. Everybody is nagging on each other to "go to the gym", "eat less McDonald's" etc. The food industry and the government should be working together, regulating and monitoring the food that is currently sold, and educating the public about what is the better choice. School food programs also need to be fast food free. AMERICA TRULY NEEDS A FOOD REVOLUTION!

  • people are so ignorant and stupid, you eat more simply because you are eating food that doesn't have any vitamins or proteins in it. you need cholesteral and minerals in your body too. you can take supplements containing minerals and vitamins a b c and so on. next if you can afford it which is how royal family of england eats, organic food. if you have kids at least educate yourself on how to feed them, is so important. you don't have to kill yourself on diets, look for the best supplements

  • what the fuck ? spending those amounts of money on losing weight? i got a golden tip for you americans, STOP FUCKING EATING!

stop fucking eating red meat, eat vegetables fruits and drink alot of water

there you go, thats free! ive done it all by myself, 150 billion dollars for the love of god americans you're so so stupid.

  • @Southportzz I was born and raised in America.... But you're right. So stupid to spend that money for something that easy. And we wonder why we're in debt. It's disappointing.

  • @22LowLife22 yes it is dissapointing, and btw, i just wanted to add that you can CAN eat as much junkfood as you want, but you need to do alot more.

i, personally, can eat as many junk foods as id like, i kickbox 3x a week, soccer 2x a week, fitness 3x a week and on top of that i have regular sport classes at college 7 hours a week.

no need to starve yourself with a diet, excersize and eat whatever you normally eat and you're fine!! this is to everyone in general, hope it helped

  • i love yogurt

  • Ah wash mahself with a rag on a stiiick!

  • they're missing the point, its not so much what u eat more to do with how much and the fact that people eat on their emotions

  • i beat obesity but then im an aussie i can beat anything

  • Our society is fat swine. I am disappointed in America.

  • I was eating McDonalds as I was watching this.

  • @IceColdBeerPlease

Yeah - it's a complicated problem - lazyness (seriously US - drive in ATMs?) lack of exercise, bad diet and fat culture will make people large

  • No one puts food into your mouth. No one holds you down on the couch and forces you to watch television or play video games. Besides the very few who have actual disabilities, this Global Epidemic comes down to lack of Self Responsibility. The factual information of eat less/move more is so prevalent that it is modern day common sense. Parents and adults need to take charge of their health and lives and stop playing victim.

  • @CanDoSeabee1 It's funny how so many people who have no experience being fat give overweight people the most shit. Fucking assholes.

  • Americans are basically 2 legged pigs..siting like baboons watching T.V. all day being told they live in the greatest nation in the world..That we are fighting wars to secure our freedom to eat and live like pigs..

  • The difference between medicine and poison is in the dose.

  • @XAlphaZEROX

    true dat

  • Solution to obesity. Has NOTHING to do with the fortification/processing. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The solution is EAT LESS!!!!

  • @Imlegallyretarded

well yeah, and healthier stuff.. And get you butt off the couch...

  • @Imlegallyretarded Eat less of what? Red meat, diary, and refined grains? Yes. Less of chicken (baked), fish (baked), fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and beans? No.

  • damn I could eat pizza an burgers for a month and porbably gain maybe a pound, man my metabolism is fast

  • I worked out a bit today and don't eat alot of fattening shit even though i'm naturally lean and don't get fat

  • It is fucking simple motherfuckers: Eat whatever and do nothing equals obesity, but eat whatever you like and exercise equals healthy.

  • nature also gave us hemlock, should we eat that?

  • people like this are that way because they choose to eat the world. then don't complain when people make fun of you. YOU OBVIOUSLY DESERVE IT.

  • WOOO Micheal Pollan!

  • im watching this while eating a big mac, large fries and a large soda

  • all this shit is irrealavant in canada eh! yup

  • You can eat anything you want, as long as you don't stuff your face with it. Eat anything that adds up to 1,000 calories, and you still won't get fat.

  • Because people don't care. People like to blame places like mcdonalds. But if you go to mcdonalds and eat ONE cheeseburger, you're not going to gain weight. But you see people with a big mac, large fry, apple pie, and a large soda. Than they go home and watch tv. That's why people are fat.

  • 2 to 3 slices of bread fit in 1 slice of american bread.

  • We are not taught to eat real food.

  • fucking disgusting ass people heres a simple way ,,, burn more calories than you eat go run fat asses

  • How about smokeing.

  • @m14g Ok first cheap HEALTH food. 2nd Fast delicous health food.

  • I eat whatever the hell i want (dont eat fast foods) and I get drunk every weekend. However, I go to the gym 3-4 times per week and I am in great shape. These lazy fatties just dont excercise.

  • Not very shocking.

  • YOU DON'T SAY...

  • mmmmm a mushroom double patti cheese burger delicious.

  • Becuse americans are to dumb to relize the truth! Calorie counting is bullshit! Stop with the fatscare hysteria.

  • @Nefus1988 Well, I'm sure calorie counting is not mandatory in your anorexic and skeletor nation anyway.

  • @TheLavish99 Anorexic nation? Not drinking 5 liters of Pepsi everyday isn´t going to make you anorexic It´s gonna make you healthy. It´s not about starving It´s about eating food wich our ancestors always ate.

  • @Jeergirl plant foods were very plentiful 2000 years ago bitch. They had plenty of access to all sorts of foods from the earth, they didn't need nor did they want to kill animals for sustenance. Why do you think human beings have no claws, teeth or the digestive systems to eat flesh?? Because our earliest ancestors DID NOT. GTFO

  • @ConcreteRiver How old are you? You keep using profanity which only weakens your arguments. Just because plants were plentiful doesn't mean Humans didn't hunt for food. They made up for their physical disadvantages by developing tools for hunting (spears, knives, arrows, etc.). Here's a little advice. Talk like an adult and people might actually treat you like an adult :)

  • fat has the flavor

  • Poor Al Bundy was addicted to dry dog food at best, and wasn't fat lol!

  • @Ganen No it isn't. Unlike white bread, it retains wheat's nutrients and is way less processed than white bread (If not at all). Also, white bread is made with Enriched Flour, which doesn't have much nutrients. Whole wheat doesn't have Enriched Flour. Also, describe your weight loss. Bill Clinton is on a vegetarian diet, and judging by the pictures, he has lost more weight from muscle loss than fat.

  • fat people :) lulzzz

  • how do they measure obesity rates, whose job is it to go around counting fat people?

  • @kaveh3 It's not exactly hard to spot a fat person.

  • Idk I've lost weight before and I think the real problem just seems to be lack of exercise, not that your diet can't be improved/changed, but I just think exercise is the key.

  • @Ganen 5 servings isn't that much, especially considering you get more energy from 1 serving of grains as opposed to 3 of vegetables. Whole wheat is good for you, and the junkfood's junk status has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that it's a grain. They process out most of the nutrients and fill it with things such as food coloring and preservatives, thus you get empty calories as a result.

  • @Ganen That's a problem. Eventually, that lack of grains will come back and bite you in the ass. They don't provide the same nutrients as grains, or give you the same amount of energy, or provide a good substitute. That's another thing: If you need to eat a bunch of celery sticks in order to compensate for a few slices of bread, then it's probably not that great of a substitute. They don't even make you feel full, the vegetables I mean.

  • I don't know if it's jsut me, but fruit and veggies taste like crap here. I'm from overseas and healthy foods seem to have a stronger, better taste there. Here, most fruits and veggies taste generic. no wonder people don't eat healthy.

  • @theDudeAbides1100 You have a point, I lived in Taiwan last year and the fruit and veg were SO much better.

  • heres the problem: fruits and vegeables here takes like crap. every healthy food tastes fake as hell, so people don't eat it.anyone from overseas will tell you that fruits and veggies have a good, strong taste. even organic food tastes fake here.

  • @Ganen Modern day humans aren't entirely like cavemen, especially considering cavemen had bigger teeth. Probably because the wheat was being used to help digest the acidic properties of your fruits for the first time in a long while. There's a reason grains are on the Food Pyramid, and why they're at the base. That's probably because there weren't any around, and knowing how to farm was nonexistent.

  • Some of us are lucky enough to be unable to gain weight thanks to being born three months early.

  • @Ganen Obviously sugar is the problem, but you still need carbs. Carb-free diets are stupid, and only make you feel tired. You need them for energy, and any sensible dietrician would agree with me. I don't believe for a second that you didn't feel constantly tired throughout this 1 month period. ConcreteRiver gets it.

  • 2.06sec "Fructose is the cause of the current epidemic". Yeah, if you drink 2 gallons of it a day and don't exercise. What the fuck is wrong with people? It's not just fructose. It's a combination of things.

  • @SpazChat In replt yo the comment u made 2 me regarding Europe & how America has a liquor stor on every corner - I actually live in London& at the top of my road (30 second walk from my house) are 3 takeways & 4 liquor shops & its not even the main street!! So does this mean I should be obese (which im not) & an alcoholic (which i am not)...Im not being horrible or nothing like that but im trying to point out the fact that ppl make their own choices. Its not the companies fault.

  • I take heart in knowing that I'm not the only person that finds the way fat people look repugnant and offensive.

  • @Jeergirl , You may not be unhealthy, but you are definitely weird if you like the taste of that sh*t

  • Can somebody buy me a Big Mac Combo Meal? for a $1 dolla more i get another Big Mac! hurry this offer ends soon!

  • Goddamn fat ignorant bastards. It's 2012, and they don't understand calories? Really? No excuses with the age of the internet now. It seems to me, that some people like to be fat obese pigs. These fat turds are a waste of space, and contribute nothing to the human race, except to be laughed at. I do not pity them, I am in complete disdain of them.

  • Yawn, people wonder how this world cant progress when simple questions like "why am I so fat?" cant be answered.

Fruit / Veg, Minimum Wholegrain food, Water + Green Tea, Nuts

The Fruit / Veg will provide you will all the minerals you need and speed up your metabolism, Carbs for the sake of brain food, Water / Green Tea for the obvious reasons and Nuts for protein.

Seriously why cant fat people just die, all they are doing is polluting the world anyway! Overeating = more pollution!

  • As more and more foods are considered processed foods, the more people are becoming overweight. If you look at how food was made years and years ago, they weren't as bad for you. I believe it's harder for you to stay healthy now with all the processed foods out there. People are becoming less active which contributes to the problem as well. It might be easier to say no to alot of food that's in your grocery store, cuz its easy to gain weight if you don't burn off what you just ate.

  • Comment removed

  • 75 % of americans are fat. Thats fuckin shocking

  • Ich als Innetrutzler finde diese feisten Wesen einfach nur schrecklich.

Ein bissel innetrutzig zu sein, hat noch niemandem geschadet!

  • As long as food industry lobbyists exist, most of the food in stores will be crap.

  • @Jeergirl . I thought my prayers had been answered when I discovered Stevia, but its taste is repugnant. It's tastes about as good as sucralose, saccharin or aspartame.

  • @SpazChat "sucralose, saccharin or aspartame"<-- and i have no idea what the ### those are lol

  • @welldone4 , Well do some reading. We shouldn't have to explain to you what those substances are.

  • @SpazChat lol i BEEN did that. thanks to google ^_^

  • It's not rocket science. Obesity is happening because people are eating too much. There are no free foods, all food has calories. Much eating is for comfort not hunger. The 'because I'm worth it' culture, where having whatever you fancy is good for you is the problem. Self indulgence. You can't blame one particular food or ingredient. Eat 3 healthy meals a day and you won't put on weight.

  • @Loreleila not simple. Because there are people that are heavy that eat less than some very thin people do. It has to do with the types of food we eat just as much, if not more as how much. Because most people are addicted to sugar and carbohydrates.

  • You know what the problem is? Sloth.

  • @Zero2562130

NO its the crap you feed your face.

Work out how far you would have to run to burn off a Snickers bar. We are talking of doing a Marathon (which strangely enough is what Snickers used to be known as in the UK)

  • @bfbf334 Wrong, and running isn't the only excercise. Weight training actually burns more calories.

  • @Zero2562130

    Wrong .....HOW ????

Do some basic research before making knee jerk responses. What I said was scientifically validated FACT.

Weight training along with heart rate maxing interval training IS good for building muscle and bone density

BUT if you consume carbs (any carbs) within 2 hours of finishing training you will stop the body's production and use of Human growth hormone. This stops fat "burning" dead in its tracks FACT.

  • @bfbf334 So consume them after 2 hours or more. It's not that hard, they're just lazy.

  • @Zero2562130

Wrong AGAIN its still the crap they eat. You know "a healthy diet" as recommended (indoctrinated) by the USDA heavy on grains/sugars and others obesity / disease generating crap. Just make sure you stay away from fat coz fat makes you fat right (WRONG).

Your resting metabolic rate depends upon your age, height, weight and sex. An average 30 year old man might burn 1750 calories per day doing nothing. Ever seen wild animals going for a run to get fit or burn calories. Me neither.

  • @bfbf334 Wrong. Grains are actually good for you, particularly whole grains. If the metabolic rate is too slow, then excercise more and do a few more excercises.

  • @bfbf334 You really are a fucking idiot. I think you should go study some more before you give out health advice. Carbs are not created equal and your attempt to lump in nutritious whole/unrefined carbs like brown rice, potatoes, and fruits and vegetables with gloppy white bread and refined sugary donuts is ludicrous. every single cell in your body runs on glucose(sugar) and your BRAINMEAT runs exclusively on it. If you limit your intake of good carbs, you will fuck up your body. FACT

  • @ConcreteRiver

You are the one who needs to do some study. I have, years and years of it.

Trappers and North American Indians lived for years eating almost exclusively Pemmican (50% Saturated fat and 50% protein). Up to the last 30 or so years Inuit, Maasai and many other hunter gatherer tribes ate next to no carbs, with obesity heart disease etc. etc. being virtually unknown. Since the advent of agriculture the human brain has shrank by 5%. The brain being the biggest consumer of ATP.

  • @bfbf334 Let's not forget what our brain is made out of: the "so called" horrible fats and cholesterol in our foods. Most people have no clue they're being duped by our government.

  • @ConcreteRiver

The perfect food for human growth and development is breast milk. If you take all the water out of breast milk, half of what's left behind is fat. And, there's lots of cholesterol too, fats are need for the protective covering of nerve cells (lack of this means M.S). The human body can make carbs from protein FACT. The only source of carbs for the 2.5 million years prior to agriculture came from wild natural roots seeds and whole in season fruits.

  • @ConcreteRiver

The very reason we put on fat is as a (pre agricultural 2.5 million years) survival mechanism by gorging on the wild harvest of fall fruit that is high in insulin raising (fat depositing) carbs such as fructose. What are people gorging on today; High Fructose corn syrup laced high glycaemic refined carbs from processed non foods (lots and lots of it). They are told to stay away from those nasty nasty saturated fats (that have a G.I of ZERO).

  • @bfbf334 Again, you are comparing artifically refined fructose corn syrup to corn, beans, grains and potatoes. Try to think subjectively. I do agree that processed foods are poison, but again you are comparing apples to steel girders. You cannot call a whole potatoe in the same league with a twinkie or snickers bar ffs!

  • @ConcreteRiver

Before you start calling me a "fucking idiot" then how is it that "nutritious whole / unrefined" whole meal bread has a HIGHER G.I than refined white sugar and so will spike your insulin higher laying down more body fat, causing a crash in your blood sugar making you hunger for more carbs to lay down even MORE fat. Excess body fat that inevitably leads to all the diseases of civilisation (agriculture). Diseases that are almost never found in hunter gatherers.

  • @bfbf334 Wholegrain bread is NOT what causes insulin spikes and thus leads to insulin resistancy(diabetes). The cause is the high amount of FAT in the food we eat. All this disgusting fat gets inside our muscle cells and instead of the insulin being able to deliver this glucose to our cells for energy, which we need, the fat acts as a big blanket, glucose cannot be absorbed by cells. Or the insulin producing cells in our pancreas just die completely. Unrefined carbs do NOT make you fat!

  • @ConcreteRiver Fat is what slows down the absorption of refined carbohydrates (sugar) in our bloodstream, which helps stabilize blood sugar levels. When you control blood sugar levels, you control insulin production, which in turn controls your weight. Fat also provides valuable cushioning for your organs. I'm not talking about partially hydrogenated oils or rancid vegetable oils however. I am referring to unrefined saturated, mono and polyunsaturated fats.

  • @Altois The fat that you eat, is the fat that you wear and all the fats in the SAD(hydrogenated vegetable oils and animal fats) are clogging us up, making us fat and causing diabetes, strokes and high blood pressure. 40 years of scientific research has proven this unequivocally. your gary taubes, dr atkins and other high fat, carbophobic lunatics seemed to have never been able to grasp this. The notion that a boiled potato, brown rice and green vegetables or bananas are the cause of obesity?!!WTF

  • @ConcreteRiver Are you stupid or do you choose not to read people's posts? I never said fruits and vegetables are a problem. Do you have any clue what "refined" carbs are? I'm talking about sugar in any form, especially high fructose corn syrup. How do you explain the French Paradox? The French are one of the biggest consumers of saturated fat (butter, eggs, cheese) yet they have one of the lowest rates of heart disease. The studies on fat and heart disease in the 80's were inconclusive.

  • @Altois I might ask you the same question. If you had bothered to read MY rebuttals. You keep repeating over and fucking over about hydrogenated oils ffs! Yes I agree with you and that refined, processed foods are contributors to obesity. What you fail to see or grasp is the scientific evidence which clearly shows the damage which animal fats and proteins do to the human body. We are not biologically designed to eat them. Which is why Americans are so fucking fat and sick and diseased.

  • @ConcreteRiver Oh now you have to go into cursing. No you never actually answered my question about the French Paradox. Look it up. Are you referring to the research done by Ancel Keys back in the 50's? Our government is basing it's data off inconclusive evidence. Ancel Keys in fact gathered information from 22 different countries about fat intake and heart disease. He chose to use data from 7 countries to prove his theory that fat and heart disease were related. cont'd

  • @Altois

There is just no telling people like @ConcreteRiver

They are totally brain washed by the propaganda from the vested interests:-

    1. Doctors who dare not admit that they have been wrong (as proven by vast amounts of INDEPENDENT research)

    2. Giant "Food" corps that have invested billions in "Low Fat" high carb junk "health food"

    3. Giant drug corps with massive advertising in mainstream media that have a pill for every ill coursed by "Low Fat" high carb "Health Diets"

  • @bfbf334 LOL vested interests you say? The Doctors who are changing the world, preventing disease and reversing diseases using a whole foods, plant based diet. What is their vested interest? Kickbacks from the Broccoli growers association of America? They are HATED by big business and the Rxcartels because they show how unhealthy the processed foods and animal products are and they heal people using rice and beans and not pills. All 3 of your points debunked. Dr Atkins had clogged arteries btw

  • @ConcreteRiver

    NOW I get it !

Your are one of those bunny hugging vegans aren't you.

Just remember to keep chanting the mantra "The Emperors new cloths look great....The Emperors new cloths look great"

99% of medical Doctors are only interested in prescribing pharma drugs and getting you out the door ASAP.

Plus your last reply makes no sense at all.

And THE thing about Dr Atkins is a total lie spread by the bunny hungers at the SO CALLED "Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine"

  • @bfbf334 All fats are not created equal. There is a fundamental different between animal fats and plant oils. Hydrogenated oils are awful, just as awful as animal fats. Our ancestors ate a LOT more unrefined grains and carbs over the last 50 years then we do now. If you want to plonk your head in the sand and claim that potatoes and beans are the cause for obesity and not steaks and cheese, you are an idiot. PCRM promote health with plant foods. not pills and potions. get real.

  • @ConcreteRiver Our ancestors also at a lot of meats with saturated fats! They didn't pick off the skin or cut off the fat. The ate every bit of the animal. There is a huge difference beween Hydrogenated oils and animals fats. Hydrogenated oils are fats that are already rancid and solidified with hydrogen. This causes inflammation in the body and hardens the arteries. Saturated fats actually raise HDL and LDL (the large benign kind) cholesterol, which in fact improves cholesterol levels.

  • @Altois Scientific and anthropological studies have clearly shown our earliest hominid ancestors ate a vegan diet of fruits, shoots, leaves and roots..not unlike what gorillas and chimps STILL eat. And early groups who ate LARGE amounts of animal products lived nowhere near as long as the ones who didn't and that same principle applies today. We both agree hydrogenated oils are unhealthy! And animal fats are even worse as they contain dietary cholesterol, which clogs our arteries! wake up dude!

  • @ConcreteRiver Honestly do you even understand what absolutely pure jibberish you're spewing? Humans evolved into humans because we ate animals. Your brain, my brain, and every HUMAN brain is much larger than any predicating ancestor, but we also have much weaker and smaller stomachs than our ancestors. Whhy?yy?!!? Because as we developed a higher degree of mobility, the food of choice was the energy RICH source of food known as mamals.

  • @ConcreteRiver Do you have any legitimately practical evidence to support the notion that a hunter-gatherer type homo-sapien, whom would spend his/her ENTIRE DAY only gathering could sufficiently intake enough calories to support that kind of existence? Let alone why the hell they would, considering their ancestors killed meat.

  • @ConcreteRiver Oh and up yours for implying that hydrogenated oils are actually in any way superior to animal fat. Of course they're terrible, because create cis/trans isomer fat, and hydrogenation is an induced event! You have to acttively deep fry something to hydrogenate it. Animal fat is made naturally, and is health in moderation, unlike hydrogenated fat which, was originated near the turn of the 1900s, and happened to be linked to a massive spike in heart attacks, first ever

  • @Antend0 And a big FUCK YOU for being an cholesterol and saturated fat apologist. eating animal fat is completely unnatural, our herbivore biologies do not support it, hence the current epidemic of cardiovascular diseases. fucking wake up jackass. I'd like to see you go out and kill an animal with your bare hands and teeth and eat the entire carcass..Oh wait, you can't, so you just pay the butcher and the factory farmer to do your work for you , you lazy fat cunt.

  • @ConcreteRiver scientifically illiterate kids browsing around the internet again

  • @ConcreteRiver lmfao are you scientist? Have you gotten educated at all in a scientific background? Have you not read why humans evolved from sub-human primates? Because we USED to eat plants and have a heavily agricultural diet, as primates, THEN, as our ancestors ate MEAT, the feasibilty of foraging lost its need when our digestive systems evolved to accomodate meat intake. Stomachs got smaller, brains got bigger,(in a nutshell because this is youtube), and we thrived. lookitup

  • @Antend0 It's because we could spend all day just foraging and gathering plants, or we could go out and hunt something and yield the benefit of an entire animals calories. If for a fucking second you think humans didn't eat meat, you are a paleolithic fuckhead. ANY research into humans in the paleolithic era will tell you FOR SURE that we ate meat, thrived, and should CONTINUE to do so. One of the most nutritious parts, was the brain, comprised mostly of ANIMAL FAT. cheyuh

  • @ConcreteRiver and if you're going to be so ignorant as to suggest cardiovascular disease comes exclusively from animal fat you should be wrung up now. It's caused by a lot of things bucko, like, an extremely sedentary lifestyle, eating animal meat IN EXCESS, not eating enough vegetables, a large intake of TRANS fat, a large intake of any processed foods.....you're just looking at a correlation, and calling it a causation and that's ignorant

  • @Antend0 I'm not suggesting it ya dickhead, I'm asserting it. as in FACT. Irrefutable fact by 100 years of science. Before you start spouting off at the mouth, to defend your cruel and unhealthy lifestyle. How about you look at the facts. And look at people who eat no animal products. They do not have the diseases and ill health which their animal eating counterparts have. Look at the facts, then form an opinion, not the other way around jackass. I've never heard of anyone getting CVD from kale

  • @ConcreteRiver You just dodged EVERYTHING I said, didnt' waiver in argument, and asked me to read your science. What the fuck bro. Listen to me, there are people in this world, certainly fitter than you, (myself included), that eat meat and will not gain disease. There are people that don't eat meat and don't get disease. MEAT DOESN'T KILL PEOPLE. OVERCONSUMPTION KILLS PEOPLE. Holy hell. No athlete in ANY pro circuit can even TRY to compete without meat, what does that say?

  • @Antend0 And you've got 100 years of science? I've got 10,000 years of evolutionary biology. Did you not read my argument on how humans evolved to accomidate a higher meat intake relative to vegetation? Or are you going to keep ignoring facts and having a one sided argument. I'm a fucking Bio-Medical Engineer, I KNOW how the human body runs, and meat isn't a bad thing. And thinking about correlation and causation. Vegetarians/ Vegans are also much less likely to poison their bodies

  • @Antend0 with processed foods in GENERAL. So are healthy, conscious meat eaters. It's a LIFESTYLE change, not a dietary change that leads to that. But let me guess, you've got more "science" to throw my way. For the record, I don't enjoy eating industrialized meat, I'd rather eat Free-Range, grass fed cattle, but I'm a grad student and very poor for another couple of years lol.
