Get used to it. People want use - they use it. They want to use mac - they use it. They want to use linux - they use it. They want windows - they use it. Hell, even if he runs BSD - its his choice. Now grow up or stfu.
Seriously? Pissed that he used a Mac? Does that mean you couldn't compare the results for what they're worth side by side and take them at face value? Dipshits often have those kinds of problems. The internet is full of them too.
Nice little review. Going to pick up an SSD for my HTPC this week.
@samemethod Alright then, dont do your own reasearch from Windows 7 saying "we will be supporting ssd use with TRIM although we have not yet found a way to be able to use them in RAID while maintaining TRIM support." Good try though. They are still working to try supporting Raid 0 without the performance loss overtime
@berni1ab so why did you curse on SSD? please used some polite word though... cursing it will never brings positive outcome on these review... people here expect some comments not cursing....
i just orderd 2 60g ocz ssds gunna run raid 0 going to use them for my os and main games i play who gives a shit if there small thats why i have 2 1 tb drives for my movies and other shit
@omfgursodumb Im not saying anything about the size, but if you use windows 7 dont raid 0 them because they will lose what is called TRIM and then you will greatly diminish your SSD whenever you uninstall/delete anything. TRIM is not supported for raid configs

Theres no such thing as a 150gb velociraptor, that's a standard raptor.
The Velociraptor is WD 300Gb variant which is faster than its smaller cousins and still a lot cheaper than a SSD.
SSD technology is very nice but still too expensive to really be worth it versus traditional faster spindle drives, especially the real velociraptor and 15k SAS SCSI drives
MAC?? seriousllyyy?? dafuq!

peterFans 1 year ago
@peterFans I HAVE enough money to buy 6 SSD's, but I can also buy 9 HDD's for the same price!

Speed Vs. Gig's It's either you want more Memory or Better Speed.
For, me Memory and plus who can afford a 128gb SSD anyway??? LOLZ :)
GooberProductionz 1 year ago
@GooberProductionz Well its actaully price vs speed. There is a 1 TB ssd drive already available that beats HDD of course its worth about 3,200$

@sniperlif3 not worth! buth that is the cost :(

hmm ,, thats odd because i got 2 150gb velociraptors in my computer.
jesse1599 2 years ago
My bad, they came out with a cut down version of the 300Gb drive.
When I bought mine the 150Gb variants were just standard raptor drives and the Velociraptors were 300Gb.

Nah... bank robbers buy Lambos, not uber-dork gaming rigs.

It's nice, but I already shelled out 3k for the octacore so I think I'm going with the velociraptors for 170$ versus the 300-500 for the SSD. :(
(buying 2, one for osx, and one for windows.)
