Mining causes many strange things. A big lake in the US was drained in a few minutes because of a mining operation nearby. Some mining towns in the US have fires burning for generations under the ground, that cannot be put out. Mining also exposes many wonderful things. Seems they could use this heat as a source for electricity somehow.. all that energy is just going to waste.
