thank you i spent 4 years on the roark de 1053 engineering down in the hole in the early 70s that was the navy pay slips and captains that could dock the ship without any tugs at all
theo old mickey roark we called her single screw 1200psi a BT's nightmare spent many a night in olongapo on westpac growing up
I served on Vreeland (FF-1068) from 87 to decom in 92. Someone told me the Mac was originally intended to be a secondary CIC or perhaps a sensor that was never developed. I can't imagine how because when the ship was steaming that space was at least 115 degrees. It was full of old boxes of junk. We had a clean out the Mac day before INSURV and was a little surprised at how many whiskey bottles were found. Vreeland always ran like a top though, we were always taking someone else's commitment.
That's pretty cool. I also served on a Knox Class Frigate, USS Harold E Holt FF1074, from 1980 to 1984. What is the purpose of this animation, I mean what do you do with it, and how did you make it? Thanks!
WOW! Very Nice. I served on the USS Francis Hammond (DE/FF - 1067). From 1973 thru 1976.
I still remember almost every inch of that ship. I like how you view over the top of the Mac. I've climbed up inside of it several times in port to get away from it all. Not hiding just need your space on a nice SoCal Day.
FYI. On the Helo hanger area, is there suppose to be a Small Com. Station to the Port side next to the Hanger Door? Just a thought!

@MarsAttacksLeader
Thanks. I slowly add/fix things as I get time. I will have to check out some pics and modify.
