I love how, upon being told he has another army to fight, Gorgutz sounds positively delighted. Trust an Ork to see the optimism in having an even more difficult task ahead, just because it involves fighting...

Depends on who wins this particular mission. In terms of Canon, however, it was Davian Thule's brothers who conquered the planet, so all Chaos forces were beaten.
What I really like about the stronghold conversations is the clash of dramatically different personalities. For example, Space Marines to Tau, Orks to Eldar, Chaos to Necrons.
Why is that? The Tau are definatly on top because their commanders not only CARE about the fire warriors, but they also offer enemies chances to surrender, tolerate alien races, and show lienency towards defeated enemies.
The reason that thes space marines are above the Imperial Guard is that the Space Marines don't have trigger-happy political officers (commissars) who go around shooting guardsmen just because they are afraid.
The tau are third in my list because they are power-hungry fools who think they can overcome the universe because they have flashy blue technology. The space marines are second because the only reason that they are 'invincible' is they have loads of enhancements and power armour. Guardsmen just have a flak vest and a stabby flashlight. They are the one who have the guts to stand against the enemies of the Imperuam, not SM.
Gogsmash, are you saying that the Imperium is NOT power hungry. Listen, the Tau may also be looking to conqour the universe, but at least they want to do it peacefully. The Imperium is all like "Alien=kill" The Tau also do not mindlessly worship some dead guy, but rather, they worship the whole idea of the betterment of the community.

Eliphas has got to be one of the more capable commanders in the ranks of Chaos. IF i was a follower of Chaos, I'd gladly serve Eliphas since he actually knows what he's doing compared to Bale and Krull.
This sorceror is from another clan/warband/legion called the Night Lords. I know as I checked their broken bodies. It was their colour scheme, and transfers.
I've looked up the Night Lords and what they're like and it seems that they don't worship the Chaos Gods and only use the powers of Chaos for their own selfish ends.
In my book, merely being evil and using dark powers for your own petty gain is the most vile thing one can do.

Depends on who wins this particular mission. In terms of Canon, however, it was Davian Thule's brothers who conquered the planet, so all Chaos forces were beaten.

What I really like about the stronghold conversations is the clash of dramatically different personalities. For example, Space Marines to Tau, Orks to Eldar, Chaos to Necrons.

Why is that? The Tau are definatly on top because their commanders not only CARE about the fire warriors, but they also offer enemies chances to surrender, tolerate alien races, and show lienency towards defeated enemies.
The reason that thes space marines are above the Imperial Guard is that the Space Marines don't have trigger-happy political officers (commissars) who go around shooting guardsmen just because they are afraid.

The tau are third in my list because they are power-hungry fools who think they can overcome the universe because they have flashy blue technology. The space marines are second because the only reason that they are 'invincible' is they have loads of enhancements and power armour. Guardsmen just have a flak vest and a stabby flashlight. They are the one who have the guts to stand against the enemies of the Imperuam, not SM.

Gogsmash, are you saying that the Imperium is NOT power hungry. Listen, the Tau may also be looking to conqour the universe, but at least they want to do it peacefully. The Imperium is all like "Alien=kill" The Tau also do not mindlessly worship some dead guy, but rather, they worship the whole idea of the betterment of the community.
We are not talking about solely bravery and courage, but overall morality as a whole.

This sorceror is from another clan/warband/legion called the Night Lords. I know as I checked their broken bodies. It was their colour scheme, and transfers.

I've looked up the Night Lords and what they're like and it seems that they don't worship the Chaos Gods and only use the powers of Chaos for their own selfish ends.
In my book, merely being evil and using dark powers for your own petty gain is the most vile thing one can do.
It makes me glad that as any race, I get to kick the crap out of them in the Eldar stronghold mission.
Also, IF i was a follower of Chaos, I'd accuse the Night Lords of being selfish heretics worthy of only death.

My own legion, the Word Bearers once worshipped the "emperor" as a god and built large monuments to better idolize him while taking our time in conquering worlds and stamp out all opposition to ensure that they didn't rebel later on.
How did he reward us? By condemning both our tactics and our god worship of him!
We trusted him and he betrayed that trust. Now we serve being worthy of being worshipped, namely the Chaos Gods!

If the Emperor didn't want certain people in his legions, he should have checked on them to ensure that only people he felt that he could trust were in them.
Also, the Emperor should have understood that there are people out there who WILL worship him as a god so he should have respected our beliefs.
He failed to do either so the "betrayal" of half of his legions to Chaos is his own fault.

The agencies of the Imperium demean us only because we weren't willing to allow ourselves to be persecuted and/or destroyed for various reasons.
For example, the Thousand Sons did certain things which the Emperor didn't approve of so they stopped. Their primarch only disobeyed him in order to warn the emperor of Horus's actions and the emperor ordered the Thousand Sons destroyed for it.

The Emperor ordered Magnus and his Legion destroyed because he delved into the powers of Chaos. That it was as a warning is irrelevant - Magnus had other means at his disposal by which the warning could be issued. He placed the entire Imperium at risk, he broke Imperial decree, and was punished for it.
Let me ask you, what has your devotion to your so called "Gods" granted you? Exile in the Eye of Terror, suffering beyond imagining...and death at the hands of the Emperor's finest.

In case you forgot, Magnus only warned him through use of Chaos Magic because the other ways of warning him were far less reliable and he wanted to be sure the emperor got the warning.
As for our "exile", it is only a temporary state. Sooner or later, we shall return to Holy Terra and destroy the false emperor.

Temporary can mean any length of time and though it may take as long as 10 MILLION years, we of Chaos shall prevail in the end.
If the Chaos Gods have no power over the servants of the False Emperor, then why have so many of them such as us "traitor legions", countless members of the IG and the Blood Raven librarian Isador embraced Chaos?
Finally, 10,000 years have passed and your emperor still hasn't healed yet. That should be more then enough time for him to heal so why hasn't he?

I hardly place any faith in the Blood Ravens - they're little more than Thousand Suns with a veneer of civility over the top. I have little doubt they will fall, as thier parent Legion did.
The traitor Legions fell because they were weak. Never has a single true servant of the Emperor fallen to Chaos - for a true servant never yields to doubt. Any who would be so fearful, so weak as to turn to the Ruinous Powers deserves thier ultimate fate - death by the flames of the God-Emperor's wrath.

We did NOT fall, we realized the truth in that the "Emperor" was a sham who was unworthy of worship.
Also, over the course of 10,000 years, clearly, more then a few of the "emperor's" servants have also realized the truth.
Finally, the Blood Ravens are hardly weak and in fact are among the most strong willed of the "emperor's" servants. If they're guilty of anything, it's not seeing the emperor as he truly is, a fraud.

Captain Gabriel Angelos is a Blood Raven and look at what he's done.
He had his own homeworld of Cyrene destroyed, he killed his best friend Isador AND he destroyed the Alpha Legion's forces on Tartarus all so he could stop the forces of Chaos.
