Good question. I think I will leave it up only because we as American's have no idea what is actually going on behind closed doors. We have very few clues what the truth is or isn't. And, when the truth surfaces, those who disclose it are attacked (see FOX, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc).
he didn't lie about anything. aarp supports obama's basic proposals for health care reform. they do so because his plans do not reduce medicare benefits. what point do any of you have? are we, as a nation, supposed to do nothing and just maintain our current unregulated private, for profit insurance system? i don't think so. we need to find ways to cut medical costs and give people more affordable options. it would be cool if you all would became part of the solution instead of ranting.
benjighaus - Granted, healthcare needs reform in this country, but lying to us, demonizing legitimate protests and trying to ram a bill down our throats, which Obama and most of the other corrupt morons in Washington haven't even read, is not the way to go.
You're an easily-led fool if you believe this administration on any issue
Obama's slick and smooth. People's eyes glaze over when he spews his DISINFORMATION.
Fact: Your Obamessiah is an uber bullshit artist and an accomplished LIAR !
Your opinions about healthcare in gerneral are something you are well entitled to as an American, hovever you are not telling the truth about AARP's endorsement. They made it quite clear that they were not happy with Obama stating they endorsed his plan. I read the release, and it was very clear. I'm sorry but the president has never been big on the truth and it gets worse when he can't get his way. He embarrasses our country with his constant falsehoods.
So who is lying? Obama says twice at this meeting that AARP has endorsed the bill. The next day, the CEO of AARP says they haven't endorsed the bill. Given the track record of almost ALL politicians, I would say that obama is lying. But this is the problem, the people want the truth about this bill, not lies. Intelligent Americans have finally had it. You can see this in the town hall meetings where they are not taking all this shit anymore where nobody is telling them the truth.
aarp endorses any health care reform bill that does not reduce medicare benefits. and they share Obama's commitment to act this year on health care reform. No bill is complete yet, and therefore they haven't formally endorsed any particular bill. Obama has the support of AARP. Please, this is a civil debate about providing better, more accessible health care. Do not post a video taking a statement out of context to prove a false point. All that does is spout misinformation.
